Flash the latest STOCK ROM for your device: HERE. You have to make a "factory reset" (remember make a copy of your internal data in your pc before) when you finish of download, unzip and flash this firmware via ODIN.

I have this problemi too, any solution?

Please post the following information:
1. Model Number
2. Android Version, found by going to Settings > More > About device.
3. Firmware Version (AP, CP, CSC), found by dialing *#1234# in the dialer or by installing Phone Info from the Play Store and running it.
4. Service Provider
5. Country
6. Is the phone rooted? (Yes/No)
7. Is a custom ROM installed? (Yes/No, and the name of the ROM)

ROMs unflashable, i9505 S4 XUBMF8

Hi there all,
I've been encountering a weird issue with the i9505 S4 XUBMF8. For whatever reason, I am currently unable to flash custom ROMs on it. The phone is KNOX-free and I have previously flashed custom ROMs on it before. I am able to root via CF Auto Root, install Triangle Away, but whenever a file is copied onto the phone's storage it never completes successfully (for example Broodplank's ROM will always be 10-15mb short). Even downloading the custom ROM directly onto the phone via stock Browser results on a Status 7 error.
Changing from CWM Recovery to Team Win doesn't help either, nor changing usb ports / computers and cables. (I've used both Generic and Samsung-branded ones.)
This is a phone which has previously managed to run custom ROMs, flashes stock Samsung ROMs and Radios via Download Mode fine, and installs "unknown" .apks fine as well.
Does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?
Summary: Phone currently running stock XUBMF8 (Firmware it came out of the box with), roots fine and installs custom Recoveries fine, flashes fine via Download mode. Just refuses to copy files properly (despite multiple formats / factory resets / flash stock firmware) and refuses to flash custom ROMs via custom Recoveries.

XUBMF8 is android 4.2.2 for branded phones:
- Spain (yoigo) or Poland (Play)
* Solution could be flash one stock rom for unbranded phone if is your case. Anyway if u conect ur phone to Kies and tell me ur CSC I can tell u what stock firmware is good for your unbranded phone

Yw. We need to know your S4's CSC, as this has to match your firmware. If you install Kies (in ur pc) then you will get your firmware CSC :highfive:

Hi there,
I've installed Kies and according to the "Firmware Information" section it says
Current firmware version: PDA:MF8 / PHONE:MF8 / CSC: MF8 (SIN)
Is that the right place i'm looking at? I've never used KIES before, this is my first,
Thanks for your time.

It's unlocked, yes. This mobile was actually originally bought in Malaysia, unbranded and unlocked. I could not find any Malaysian XUBMF8, so I downloaded the SingTel one as an alternative whenever I needed to reset my phone to stock.

Hi there,
Apparently that doesn't work. I've tried resetting with stock, custom recoveries and through TouchWiz itself. It still gets the Status 7 error. Toggling "Verification Check" results in a failure, even though the MD5 checks out.
I really am at wits' end here...

Anybody?
I'm running out of ideas, and after extensive searching it seems i'm the only one with this problem.

SOLVED: No service/null IMEI

hey guys,
I have a galaxy s5 g900f and just today i was playing around editing the messaging.apk, when i pushed the apk back into the system and rebooted everything was all fine. Then about ten minutes later my sim stopped working and i had no service whatsoever. I have spent all day flashing different roms, restoring my efs, and flashing different modems. I have checked to see if it is my sim card causing the problem but it is not. On top of all of this the phone reboots every time the screen locks and goes black, i suspect this has something to do with the sim card issue.
if any one is able to help me i would appreciate it so, so much.
thanks in advance.

Is your IMEI and Baseband still valid?
You may need to reflash full stock firmware.
Open Dialer and enter *#0011# and see what does it say?

Yes, looks like the baseband is invalid. You need to download the stock firmware and reflash.
You can check the IMEI and also Baseband Version using Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app.

Do not flash random firmware. You need the stock firmware for your device.
Open Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Firmware Browser' to download the stock firmware for your device (with the correct CSC).

Please note that HK phone does not compatible with another international firmwares.
You said "spent all day flashing different roms, restoring my efs, and flashing different modems"
So you may have messed up with the partition structure, due to flashing rom/firmware that are not compatible.
Now you may need PIT file from a 'good' HK phone to flash together with the HK firmware (G900FZHU1ANI2).

i did what you said to do with the pit file, but that did not work. Now i think i have found out what the problem is, i think my efs folder is corrupted, which seems to be irreversible. I have tried many of the different restoring methods on google but none of them have worked.

okay yeah i get what you are saying now. Thank you for clarifying that.
i got it off this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2737448 which seems legitimate. It ran through the process of re-partitioning the rom with no errors so it must mean it is the right file, otherwise it would have come up with an error.

I'm still convinced that it is software problem, as the music player says "unsupported file type" even for mp3, and volume ticker has a big delay when I try to change volume. And unlocking the lock screen is very slow. But, when I choose 'mute' for the sound, unlocking is fine and the phone seems fast again. So it seems that whenever the phone tried to play a sound, it can't, and freezes because it doesn't know what to do....
Also, making a call doesn't work. So I'm thinking it's a modem problem. I will try the BTU firmware....
Does anyone advise doing a full wipe with CWM, so formatting \system and everything, then flashing the stock rom back on?? I'm sure there is a problem with the system files. But I don't know how dangerous doing a format \system is if I flash a new firmware
Does anyone know which custom firmware I can flash if I'm currently on I9505XXUGNG8 stock? I'd appreciate the help, to save opening a new thread.
I don't care if it's a custom rom, or a pre rooted stock, the original stock firmwares aren't fixing my phone at all in regards to the no sound/can't phone/unresponsive camera
Maybe have a look here,

1. The problem that you have is common. You flashed different firmwares and your device is corrupted.
2. Install Kies 3 for know ur CSC (pic 1). Go to Sammobile.com and download the correct firmware 4.4.2 (correct region) for your device.
3. Flash again this firmware and let the process finish till the final. Dial again *#1234# and verify if all is correct like the firmware you downloaded and installed before (AP, CP and CSC). Flash again same firmware if not.
* FASTEST SOLUTION: Flash the STOCK Rom that you flashed the first time once again and problem solved.

[Q] Note 3 N9005 Official Rom Update (changing version)

Hi. I've searched and found some ''usefull'' information, but none with a clear anwser to my question or a success/fail detail.
I have an HongKong (TGY) N9005 16GB, with the SW Version N9005ZHUENH4 (4.4 TGY Hong Kong)
There is no update for this ROM to Android 5 ithink. (well, mine says the SW has been modifield). I don't have root, and yes, tried to factory reset, and remove sdcard, but says the same ''software modified".
My questions are:
-Can I flash via odin, any european 5.0 oficial kdz ROM of N9005 16GB, to update my phone, without any problem?
-If yes, I only need a correspondent .pit file, and the rom?
-There will not be any issues like loosing IMEI, or no network ou something like that?
I want to stay on an original ROM with all Samsung features, without root.
Thank you!

Hi. Tks for helping. So my CSC Code is TGY. I can Install any 5.0 TGY rom for N9005?
I have 3 TGY 5.0 Rom's available. Don't need the .pit file, just flash and should be ok without imei problems or network problems?
Or should I make a backup of something first?

Yes, you can. Always is good:
1. Copy all the internal memory folders to your pc.
2. Make a backup of your EFS folder with this APP to your pc too.
3. It's better flash with ODIN the latest firmware for your device. It's this ONE . You don't need pit file and you don't gona have problems with IMEI or signal if your device is totally original. The update don't make factory reset (like in the pic attached).

Joku1981 sorry for messing you, just one more question. If I want to fully format and install the firmware (not upgrading, but wipe everything), what options do I need to check on ODIN?

You don't need use ODIN for that. Go to Settings - Backup and reset - (Check the options you wish: Backup my data, backup account, automatic restore) Factory data reset. Done.
