Your favourite Home / App Launcher for ICS

I recently moved to ICS and my favourite home/app launcher was Go Launcher EX but in ICS uses double a third to double more RAM.
Would welcome suggestions for alternatives, I tried Nova and Apex launchers but I like to put certain apps together in folders and have these folders both in app drawer and option to put its shortcut on home screen. Was unable to this in latter two. (Additionally I like to gesture directly to running apps. )
Let us know your favourite launcher in ICS and whether it gives the above requested function.

I'm using Apex and I love it for its speed even if I've not played with all its features yet.

I've been using Nova since its beta12 and i have to say it is very fast and quite customizable... maybe you can try a themable launcher, like ADW, and install an ICS-theme to keep the look...

Try espier launcher.
Its kinda like miui so you won't have an app drawer.

I suggest the TFUI launcher.
Grate, smoothe, and not uses much RAM

Tried Zeam,Go launcher,nova,tsf,apex
Right now feel that Apex is the best one with regards to speed, ease of use & functionality except themes

I try out Nova and apex launcher and finaly sty with the apex launcher because I like it slightly more. Also it is still free with all features and Nove is splitted into light and full version (full cost money). I try also the full Nova version but as I point out apex launcher is my favourite

my favourite is --> Zeam Launcher <-- because it's got old style, (old School ) and just simple to use , with no problems & enough speed for me

[Q] What is your recommended launcher for frequent flashers?

Sorry to rehash these launcher topics.
I'm trying to decide between Holo HD and Nova Launcher.
I've read a few of these launcher threads and it seems that most people with a nexus 4, because we are lucky enough to have the stock launcher, prefer to use apex, holo HD or nova launcher.
I've tried out free versions of all three and I prefer nova launcher and holo HD over apex (because the nova/holo launcher menu is slightly more intuitive to me).
However, I can't really decide between nova launcher and holo HD.
What I'm mostly looking for
1) Being able to restore launcher settings (preferably homescreen layout & widgets [if possible]) quickly after flashing between roms? (I'm a somewhat frequent flasher and I change roms constantly).
2) Smoothness. I do feel these 3 launchers are all relatively smooth. I have heard that Holo launcher is a bit less memory intensive and a bit smoother (although these posts might be dated)
So I'm wondering which one of these 2 launchers do you prefer and why? OR do you have another launcher in mind that you would like to suggest? Thanks for your input and advice guys!

Nova has always fixed my flashing addiction!

They are all exactly the same. Boring stock clones.

Stock launcher is slow and unresponsive to the touch, with zero customization. Try nova or apex, both have restore settings, and restore desktop features. Certainly not boring lol.

Been using Apex for the longest time.. but using Nova Launcher Prime.. both are good...

Best - Third Party Launcher

I'm using inspire launcher & it works so smooth

Touchwiz ...and forever touchwiz

I usually use Google Launcher with Xposed GEL settings
but as for third party launchers, I prefer Inspire Launcher or Next Launcher
On a side note, "Best" anything threads are discouraged on XDA

Best ???, choose what you like most.
For me Nova Launcher works fine.

I started using dodol launcher and am really enjoying it.

GO launcher
i have searched NOVA launcher as best , but i find Go launcher nicer than Nova in some points like : I am not able to hide app like i can do in GO launcher, other like nice effect and icon in go launcher ( yes, you can install huge icon pack in go launcher).

i always use nova launcher its the best one

Terrain or MIUI. Terrain is very interesting, you can search the Web and the phone and it has Google Now card like feature, but you can choose which cards you want.

Nova Launcher without a doubt, very stable, smooth and customizable launcher, you can have the looks of Touchwiz and the speed of AOSP with this launcher.

im using Nova Launcher at the moment, it's very fast and customizable, you can also go with the stock google now launcher which is also very fast.

I tested quite a number of launchers and these are my findings in order of preference:
Nova Prime (both phone and tablet) - Fantastic - won't use any other third party launcher ever again
Apex launcher (similar to Nova) - A very close second to Nova
Aviate launcher - It was a bit buggy and somehow did not do it for me the way Nova did
Action launcher - I really wanted to like this, bit to me it was just a big hype
Buzz launcher - Had nothing to offer that could better Nova

Apex Launcher for sure, very small, it uses not much RAM and has a lot of features

Nova Prime - As the name stated, Nova speed

It's super fast and tabbed app drawer is amazing. I sort normal apps in one tab and system apps in second.

You're looking for a replacement that looks like Google Now launcher or switching from stock or Google now launcher? If you're looking for a launcher like stock then why not Google Now Launcher?

Nexus/Pixel launcher. Sooooo much smoother than TouchWiz launcher. It's sad because the TW launcher looks wise is awesome now but animations are sometimes laggy, closing the Samsung browser has horrible lag in the animation.
If someone could edit the TW home.apk to have the same animations and buttery smooth like the pixel launcher that would be awesome! I'd be willing to donate towards the effort. I downloaded + installed Android studio but haven't really messed with it a lot yet.

Nova Prime gets my vote as well.

I use Nova prime. Tried the stock launcher for a while and it was okay but I couldn't stick with it.

I've been using Action Launcher and really enjoying it.

Evie launcher as it's small light weight and very smooth.

Thanks, the icon pack is Spheroid. The weather widget is custom made in Zooper Pro. The search/date widget is included in Nova Launcher.
