Is there a way to change the standard quick reply word list?

Get the WearResponses app. It will allow you to make any response you want And the latest version, can even scan your existing messages. To list for you your most used responses and add them to your quick response list in the app.

Now that group messaging is a go in MMS, does anyone know where to look or what edit I would need to make to get the MMS app to search contacts AND existing GROUPS when adding a recipient in a new message? This was possible pre-ics..
Thanks in advance

I was asking about unpacking the .apk file and editing the source to allow this function. Felt that qualified for android development.

How does one change it? I looked with build prop but no luck.

Talking bout the Android Device ID or something different? (Titanium Backup usually lets you generate a new one, or restore one from a previous backup).

When I get work emails from co workers it says the type of phone they are using. When they get one from me it says android and some numbers. It's the mobile device ID

Where exactly does it say this, maybe you're thinking of email signatures or such, and it would depend on the type of email client. Normally your actual android device ID isn't just arbitrarily transmitted in an email.

It's not a signature and it's not the android device ID, they don't match. My work email pulls it off the phone. It even shows it when I set up the email. I did some research and that's how I found out it's called a mobile device ID.

So you're using an app specific for work then I'm guessing. If you got access to the original rom where the ID is correct, you can install titanium backup from the play store there. Then backup the settings (under preference there's a way to save the titanium backup settings to the SD Card/media space), then restore new rom, install titanium backup again, point it to the sdcard/external for it's backup, and you may be prompted with a prompt that your android ID differs from the other, and given the opportunity to restore it from backup (however bear in midn you may have to reinstall some applications that are dependent on your new ID).
There may be an easier way, but it's just weird that you have a work email that would work based off that.
It's not a host name I just tried that too.

That looks very much like a setting you jsut set in the app/email client. Just like the iPhone has that, it's in the settings. What email client are you using, should be just like the XDA/Tapatalk app where you can modify the manual signature.

Oh just the standard ol email app. Double check the settings of that app , On the message list -> menu -> settings -> Tap account -> Signature
(by default nothing shows in the signature area when I send myself a test email thru my yahoo account, nor nothing in the mail headers to designate operating system)
Unless of course you're saying that it's being performed serverside.
How about in developers options their is one called device hostname and it can be edited, by default my devices all say Android-some random numbers and letters.

It's available on the backend, but you've got to actually run apps that support the new features (it's all part of GCM if you want to look it up, replacing C2DM). Even Google's offerings using GCM though (Hangouts, looking at you!) are really...weird about it.
For text messages try Mighty Text. Just install it on both your android phone and the nexus 7

I've found a great app for me. NotiSync. The only negative point is, that this app only uses bluetooth. But its great, that i can configure custom apps
If someone have a similar app but per wifi, pls talk to me

Agree, Mightytext developer's really made my day a lot easier! Getting notified of SMS, MMS & calls that's incoming. Sure lot's of Apps gives the simular functions, but the great thing about MT is that you could have a tab running in your browser and get notified on the computer also, and that you can answer/create msg directly from N7 or webbrowser. Smooth is that it runs on your 3G/4G, so you'll not have to use bluetooth or wifi and flipping it on and off etc. Sure if you wanna use the wifi @ home on your phone, MT will of course use that route. Probably the most beloved product for me, because having long conversation over SMS is just dumb. When you have a keyboard that makes me input data that much faster, but not everyone is thinking like me Glad that's not the case though! hehe..
Best regards,
H.

I'm not sure if my issue is Nova launcher or another issue.
The calendar date on the icon is not changing automatically.
Does anybody else have this issue?
I have to long press on it every day to update the date displayed on the icon.

(I'm sorry for answering my own post. If I try to edit it says invalid id and processing for a while)
I wanted to edit the topic name to S-Planner.
I just looked in the topic "show your home screen".
I can see a lot of people have the same issue as l have.
Some people have the correct date on the S-Planner icon as I have, but a lot of people have the data 31 on it.
I need to update mine manually, but I guess that not everyone else that have the correct date do that as well, or do they?
I guess people that have the 31 date displayed on the S-Planner icon want to change it to the correct one as well.

It's not supposed to change. It is just an icon. You need the widget if you want changing dates.
Thank you for answering, but my S-Planner icon is changing so I guess I have to stick with that icon until I find an automatically updated widget that are 1x1 in size

Did S-planner came pre-installed on your Note 4? T-MOBILE US version doesn't include that, only standard Samsung Calendar.
Sent from my SM-N910T using XDA Free mobile app
Yes.
Note 1,2, 3 and 4 got it.
Now the icon is working.
I moved it up from the dock and it changed date at midnight.
Can't say I like it when it says 31.
S Planner is one of the best things with Note.
Are you saying you have to manually install it?

Hello I have a weird situation that I haven't found a fix yet. I work and travel on the road and switch between navigation apps when selecting a destination through the calendar app with my appointments etc. It sets the first navigation app I choose as the default. On every phone I have ever had I could have those apps and pick at will which one I needed on the fly without a default one.

My solution. Install

Make sure to choose that app as open with for your apps, it will pop up with a screen like older versions of android every time after.
