[Q] Which kitkat version should i choose? I9500

Hello Xda community,
Personally i own an unbranded GS4 i9500( currently i have Android Jellu Bean) and i wanted to know which version of kit kat is the best to update to, since there are many options in sammobile.
- Country: India
PDA: I9500XXUFNB3
CSC: I9500ODDFNB3
And the rest are from different countries(Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia) but they have the same PDA and CSC, unfortunately it isnt released in my country yet...
PDA: I9500XXUFNB7
CSC: I9500OLBFNB4

The best u can do for avoid problems is:
1- Conect it to Kies 3 for know ur code region. CSC are the 3 letters btw parenthesis. The list of codes for region is HERE
2- Wait the update for ur code region. Why? Each country is different (some have LTE, others only 3g, differents modems, etc).
3- If its try for try.... select the one u wish but take care of the step 2 :highfive:

Indian one is quite stable and battery friendly.

Im from Argentina, is it ok if i flash the indian one? i doubt that the Argentinian firmware will be released any time soon..

As the i9500 does not have LTE, is safe to flash both. I did saw some improvments in phone calls and time to do the call in the indian version from the latest Omega Rom. The v18 was based on Russian version and v19 is based on indian.

[Q] Still no update of lollipop..Help flashing Custom ROM

I have Note 3 SM-900 . Its software is of country named GHANA and still no update to lollipop..and baseband: N900XXUENG1 ..bootloader: N900XXUENH1.. PDA :N900XXUENH1 .. CSC: N900JVENG2...
Tell me which stock custom rom of 5.0.1 would be suitable and works fine in my country with no network issue(Right baseband version).

Just flash a stock rom for a nearby country .Custom roms are not country specific .

Galaxy s6 edge + debranding

Hello, just got my galaxy S6 + ,unfortunately it's branded. :crying:
after having couple of LG phones I am not up to date in the "samsung world" and I want to flash the official Samsung ROM
Is it safe for now to debrand the phone with ODIN ? it's the standard procedure like in other phones ?

I'm from the UK and my phone came with customisation (although very minimal I might add) from EE. The first thing I did was to download my country specific official Rom (BTU) from sams mobile and flash it through Odin. I have had no issues at all and knox has not been tripped.
Looking through your list of Roms, the first one is the one you want to go for.

Looking at Samsung's update history... Hong Kong variant of n910u updates is released about 2-4 months later compared to the New Zealand variant. I would say we should get the update first week of December(?)

i updated the New Zealand version 5.1.1 of vodafone - i am trying the HD VOICE in Israel Orange but it's not working - i tried to enter the technical menu to AMR settings , but i cant change to AMR -WB , any suggestions?

What i understand is tht as ROMs for 910U serve more than one country (new zealand, hongkong, tiawan etc) so one can install ROMs for one country on an another country provided the Note 4 model is the same i.e. 910U.

What is the recommended stock firmware if your original region firmware has no update

My Galaxy Note 3 is an N9005 (LTE capable) phone and the firmware for my region (Philippines) has stopped its updates since 11/19/2015, I see that UAE has its firmware dated 06/30/2016 and thats pretty recent, will it be okay for my device to use a UAE firmware ? or is there a suggested firmware that works 'globally' ?

Choose one for your network .
But what do you expect to update to ??or even want to update to as 5.0 is the latest .

If you want MM there are s7/n5 ports and cm13 roms here on the forums.
