Hi Guys,
Need your help! I am a new user have no idea about the posting stuff.
I wanted to buy S4 GT-I9500 but unknowingly bought S4 American Sprint variant SPH-L720 because I was scammed. I bought this phone because it was showing something Model Number, Software Version of GS4- 19500 in the phone's "About Device" section (PIC 1 & PIC 2 attached) but later when I tried to connect it to Kies it just did not work and this made me suspicious. I took the phone to technician and he flashed genuine firmware on it SPH-L720. I was shocked to see, after that my my device model number and firmware was changed in the "About Device". See current PIC 3 & PIC 4.
I want it back to the previous state of (19500) as shown in the PIC 1 and PIC 2. Please advise how to do it step-by-step.
I am in a huge depression. Please help me!

damn the same thing happened with me yesterday bought a gt9500 which i think is sprint sphl720 but i am not confirmed as mtk droid tools shows baseband version as that of l720 i am hell confused please share how that technician figured it out ? i can flash l720 firmware but not sure about sim lock. did you unlock your phone after official firmware ? or it was unlocked. you have to root and build.prop and then you can edit model number. one more thing was your device pre rooted ?

my about device page is same as yours even the kernel version
Sounds like you guys bought Sprint GS4s that were made to look like the i9500. This was done by flashing a i9500 rom which is possible. Looks like you guys were suckered. You can still use the phone on a GSM network but it will only connect to HSPA+ and not LTE.

Your Phone Probablity Originated From China!! OBVIOUSLY!!
Sad to say mine is also a gt-i9500-ish sph-l720. i sent my friend to buy me an s4 and he came back and blurted how he got me a 4G s4 with gt-i9500, and since am really good at this topic I was dead sure they scammed this sucker, so i made sure it was the Sprint S4(apparently most of you has Sprint's). I even was amazed the length they went the info under the battery is for gt-i9500. All you have to do is go to download mode and it states the REAL model name and look at build number and mine was binbinkeji yours DONG something so you have american version of S4 which is kinda legit since you were able to get it to flash the original ROM and get it working, the downsides i found are me unable to use EDGE anymore since it forces you to use HSPA+ (discovered a fix but will get back after evaluating it) an don't detect SIM contacts. you can add a lot of bloatware to the list too. the network didn't re-lock on me, so i think you are safe even though don't know the state of your phone. If there is anything wrong with the 4G well you 'bought' a 3G phone. mine is lovely and all you might lose is 2000 antutu points. otherwise its a good old Samsung Galaxy S4. don't worry!!

Confused for flashing Stock rom on my Samsung Galaxy S4 !! Help and Comment Plz
Hi ,
M Kunal , I purchased Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 4 Months Before . (I have its Box With Its IMEI Written WIth Model Number and also on Back SIde Of its Battery It states That It Is Samsung Galaxy S4 (GT-I9500) ).But When i put into download mode i saw model name with SPH-L720 ...Now ,M Confused For the phone that i have coz It is Samsung GT-I9500 and showing Model SPH-L720 .. I Was Not aware of any model of S4 Before This But When i searched this model on google i found same phone with same specifications by samsung sprint.. I showed my phone to the samsung care they told me that this phone have custom rom in it but i never flashed it before with any rom instead.. I checked its model in About Phone And It Shows SPH-L720 .. so Can i Flash Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 Stock Rom On this Issue To Show My Phone Model Name About Phone As GT-9500 And Not SPH-L720 coz all things and specifications of both Models Are Same ..

Yes because the build prop on the phone will show the model number as the international model. But at the end of the day the phone will be a SPH-L720

Flashing ROMs and mods for another device is probably the easiest way to hard brick your phone.

None that I know of. You would have to do it manually and add the mods to the apks for your device. This stuff is a lot of work, there isn't an easy way to do it.

That seems like they put the motherboard of an L720 into the GTI9500... or something like that. If you can, take it back to wherever you got it. Unless you flashed software for a different phone.

The sticker on the back of the phone reads I9000GSMH and when the phone boots you see an Anycall Boot logo (this can easily be changed to Galaxy S logo too, so its not an indicator till you get into bootloops) and is installed with a lidroid i9000 ROM (Chinese developer)
But If you try to flash any custom ROM meant for i9000, thats when you get into a whole lot of problems and inability to get it back into operating status as boot loaders meant for i9000 will not function on this unit and phone will indicate wrong boot loader when trying to recover.
After trying to solve this issue for many users on this forum and the Android Forum, it has been finally solved by kbloodstone here
The fact is, this units are most likely an M110S (Korean Galaxy S) designed to be passed on as i9000 (international Galaxy S) by removing or snapping off the DMB TV Antenna, changing its back cover & sticker and altering the build prop to indicate it is using an i9000 ROM
@AndroidAddiction pointed out here that "reboot into recovery" should indicate that it would not be i9000 as the combo keys to enter recovery mode for i9000 = Vol up + home +power and for M110s = Vol down + home + power.
The download mode combo keys are Vol down + home + power for i9000 and
Home + Power keys for M110S. So indeed its a good observation, worth noting.
Nevertheless, most people I have came across, had mostly entered download mode (not sure as to which combo key they had used) and flashed, that is how they found out that they were unable to flash any i9000 ROM. And most of all Combo keys can be changed by ROM developers.
If we compare the specifications between M110S and i9000, you can also note that the M110S is heavier by 2 gram, which cannot be noticed.
The most distinct difference was reported by @wilvic about the different speakers here But Speakers too can be changed, if needed but very unlikely it would have been done.

This is due to the fact that the M110S has Stereo Speakers and the i9000 has Mono Speakers.
The easiest way to know, IF your phone is, what it says it is, is by checking its IMEI here
The M110s has a DMB TV used only in Korea and parts of China as such the hardware makes it impossible to use i9000 ROM's...hence those who have bought this units believing its an i9000 have been scammed by those who are making money out of this deals.
The solution to recover this fake i9000 to M110S is by using the repair kit at Pit Stop
The Galaxy S series of Android smartphones were the first to hit the market and the original flagship unit for Samsung, but the Korean version came out even before the i9000 International version was released.
Currently There are some 20 versions of Galaxy S, and their ROMS / Kernels may not be compatible with each other, so make sure you know which model and which ROM should be used for your unit.
Galaxy S GT-I9000 Galaxy S International
Galaxy S GT-I9000B Galaxy S Brazil
Galaxy S GT-I9000L Galaxy S Chile
Galaxy S GT-I9000M Vibrant Bell
Galaxy S GT-I9000T Galaxy S Latin America
Galaxy S GT-I9001 Galaxy S Plus International
Galaxy S GT-I9003 Galaxy SL International
Galaxy S GT-I9010 Giorgio Armani International
Galaxy S SCH-I500 Fascinate Verizon
Galaxy S SCH-I510 Droid Charge Verizon
Galaxy S SCH-R910 Galaxy S MetroPCS
Galaxy S SGH-I896 Captivate Rogers
Galaxy S SGH-I897 Captivate At&t
Galaxy S SGH-N013 SC-02B Docomo
Galaxy S SGH-T959 Vibrant T-Mobile (USA)
Galaxy S SGH-T959D Fascinate Telus
Galaxy S SGH-T959V Galaxy S 4G T-Mobile (USA)
Galaxy S SGH-I997 Infuse 4g At&t
Galaxy S SHW-M110S SHW-M110S Korea Telecom
Galaxy S SPH-D700 Epic 4g Sprint
The reason why the M110S is targeted by these scampers, is the fact the largest number of units sold in Korea are currently available very cheap and need to be dumped in third world countries and refurbishing them and branding them as i9000 would indeed be highly profitable.

Thanks for this thread! its a "BULLSEYE" FOR ME as i had a friend's i9000 which i didn't know was a converted from korean to european! i unfortunately flashed another i9000 rom and now it doesn't boot!
i know the pitstop repair kit but my friend insist to be on the ole rom itself! so i was wondering if u could help me in getting hold of this custom rom from lidroid or any other custom rom working with this phone the same way as the lidroidi9000 rom?
the reason is there are a lot of things different from the repair kit flash files compared to i9000! like the starup logo is different, the phone dialler is different and the menu inside is diffferent as well! so i u could pls hlp me in restoring it back to the way it was i would appreciate you r help!

I doubt its a custom i9000 Rom, what it is, is a custom M110S ROM with the build prop edited to look like an i9000 ROM...so this is the work of whosoever trying to deceive the end user , that its an i9000. only those scam artists will have that ROM, which they used as lidroid i9000 and doubt they are going to share it with anyone
You see M110S will not function with an i9000 ROM, I have tried with numerous i9000 ROM's myself till my phone turned PINK,v (I mean literally PINK) and finally returned it to its original ROM.
What happens is you cannot get home button, sound and baseband functioning with an i9000 ROM, even Koreans are desperately trying to get Jellybean here But some Chinese have managed to get it functioning on CM 7.2 here and hope to get CM 9, still very unstable
So, its best to advice you friend that, whatever ROM, it initially had is only a dressed up M110S and never an i9000 ROM
try the Gfan Sp8 XDA version, you can change boot logo etc by adding a theme

S2 theme pack is already available at PIT STOP theme section, BUT GFAN SP8, already has 160 character SMS limit (whereas, stock is limited to 80 characters) , with ICS launcher , so better to use that .
you can try some of the new themes, its very good.

The purpose of the scam is to deceive , so they will make it identical. IF they did not change the front , you will not have SAMSUNG written on top, i.e IF they wanted to save some extra money.
BUT it is easier and fool proof to check IMEI of the phone, which cannot be altered legally but , they are ways to alter that too,,,which is not easy or known to most.

I bricked mine as well but managed to get a desire...
Still I will be more careful next time with these phones on eBay.
Can the "reboot into recovery" used as an indicator?. I mean
for i9000 = Vol up + home +power
for m110s = Vol down + home + power

yes, good point, will update OP about it thank you. But this combination can be changed by ROM developers, so I am not sure as to how, all of them ended up flashing their devices in download mode, as recovery would be of little use in Stock Gingerbread ROM
i9000 download mode is Vol down + home + power
M110S download mode is Home + Power

The only problem is that any Samsung warranty is probably void.
Other than that there will be no problem, but I STRONGLY suggest that you either exchange that for a normal sealed phone or at least (on the longer term when you will learn more about the topic) do a complete firmware re-write as to remove anything that was installed (and was possibly hidden) on that phone (for instance keyboard loggers). Also check the reactivation lock.

Also check the reactivation lock.

well they dont give samsung manufacturer warranty they only have crazydeals own warranty which only covers software related issues
no hardware warranty
so there is chances some hidden keyloggers might be there , What do you mean by check reactivation lock what is reactivation lock
how to rewrite the firmware What steps
DOWNLOAD THE ORIGINAL FIRMWARE of N9005 and Install it
and then INSTALL REGION LOCKAWAY ? to unlock the phone again ?
i will try to ask them if they have other international version of n9005 which is factory unlocked what if they only have European sim model available
and as the firmware is modified i cannot get OTA FW Updates so what options i have left to get 4.4.2 or later updates on NOTE 3 ?

Best is that you return the one and get it replaced with new one. Your phone isn't brand new.

1. In theory it is that simple, however you probably have no idea what ORIGINAL firmware was So actually it could be much more complex, and you could softbrick the phone.
2. Region lockaway needs root. If you are using a non-EU SIM then you should be twice more careful.
3. You DO NOT want 4.4.2 until you are ABSOLUTELY certain that you can region-unlock the phone - there are reports that not all baseband versions actually work with region lockaway, so for the moment you probably have one that works! HOWEVER ON N9005 YOU CAN NEVER RETURN FROM 4.4.2 BACK TO 4.3! (at least for the moment).

I believe N9005XX is the EU network-unlocked (but region-locked for EU) version.
MI7 could have been rooted with knox 0 by using URDLV, cf-root made your knox 1.
Check the effective CSC on your phone and read the threads around on that matter. Very likely that after writing stock 4.4.2 you will have to re-root and you might need to region-unlock (again?). I do not know if region lockaway works with 4.4.2 - look around for first-hand reports (but be aware to look at reports for the same model of N9005 that you have). Keep in mind that if you write 4.4.2 you can NOT return back to any 4.3 version.

Hello all, I need some help in regards to my Samsung GS4 I9505. Sorry for the long post!
I bought this phone off eBay about a month ago and only did a quick test to make sure it was working. It is a used phone but in excellent condition to replace my old 9505.
Now 2 days ago I had some free time and wanted to check the phone more thoroughly before I transfer my data from my iPhone to the new to me 9505.
The phone had the stock ROM from Hong Kong (TGY). I9505ZHUFNL1 I think if I’m not mistaken.
I realized a few weird things in this phone.
1. First it had the AT&T ringtones installed, and 2 AT&T bloatware apps installed. I thought maybe the seller put them their thinking that I had AT&T.
2. Second, in the ABOUT PHONE, Model # shows as I9505 but the build number shows as I337UCUFNB1
Now I wanted to install a new stock ROM and root, process has failed in ODIN. (PS) I have flashed and customized my old 9505 a lot and have some idea on what I'm doing. I am still a newb though!
Currently I can get into Recovery and Download Mode but my S4 does not boot up. It gets stuck on the logo “SAMSUNG GALAXY S4” As you can see from the pictures below it shows PRODUCT NAME as I337 in DOWNLOAD MODE and shows kot49h.i337ucufnb1 in Recovery.
I am trying to flash stock ROM but ODIN has failed. Tried TGY, DBT and even AT&T ROMs and nothing is working. Tried to use KIES and nothing, went into recovery and deleted everything. Still the phone is not working.
I also got this AT&T message about “System software not authorized by AT&T” but that message is gone now after I flashed AT&T I337 Stock Recovery.
I have searched all over the net and these forums to try to get the phone back up, so far nothing is working on my phone.
Attached are pictures showing model #s and an error I got while trying to flash stock ROM.
Any ideas or suggestions on what to do next? Thanks in advance
I think is a refurbished device. But try to download, unrar and flash this firmware via ODIN: HERE. This is the STOCK firmware for your i337 (in theory). Tell me how it went and good luck .
Thank you. Downloading it right now. Which Android version is this?

It's android 4.4.2. We gona confirm that you have a refurbished device or no. Tell me too what errors appears in ODIN in case you have them. Dial *#1234# when the process of installation finish and tell me if all go ok.
Thank you soo much!
Some good news. I flashed the file and now device is up and running with the AT&T ROM. No errors.
AP: I337UCUFNB1
CP: I337UCUFNB1
CSC: I337ATTFNB1
Even phone model shows as I337

Be relaxed then. You own a SGH-i337, no a GT-i9505. The previous owner was flashing wrong firmware for sure. Enjoy your "machine" and Merry Xmas. :highfive:

Thanks mans for your help and Merry Christmas. Well I am not relaxed since I need a I9505 not AT&T. I'll be moving to the Middle East soon and so the AT&T will work there but I cannot use 4G LTE.
So he most likely even replaced the sticker under the battery to show I9505. I checked the IMEI under the cover and using *#06# and it matched. I checked IMEI online and it shows the model as I9505.
What the heck did the seller do to this phone? Salvaged some parts from AT&T model and installed it?
Just to do a small experiment, I'll get my friend's AT&T SIM card which have LTE and tested it on this phone to see if I get LTE or not.

1. I was telling you before is a refurbished device. They mix parts of differents models for create one new monster, like Frankestein .
2. I checked the original SGH-i337 and it has LTE. Take a look for yourself: HERE

I'm such an idiot! I missed the part about you saying it is a refurbished model. Well this is first for me knowing that they can build Frankenstein S4s! This particular phone is quite misleading.
Also yes you are right SGH-I337 has LTE but will not work in Middle East since we use different LTE frequencies there.
I'll get back to you after I do this small test just so I can feel a little better!
Joku1981,
I just used my friend's ATT SIM card and it connected to ATT's LTE network. Pic attached.
Thanks for your help. I'll contact the eBay seller and see what he can do. Worst case scenario I'll try to sell it on eBay.
and Merry Christmas!

Hi All ,
Me and my wife just bought 2 brand new and never opened box from a 2 different company , my wife unit is an SM-N910H WHITE and mine is N910U BLACK , that which i bought it 1 week later then her ( I just prefer to buy a 4G LTE version , so i bought it from other company and both company is on Cyprus) , so after when i first open the box and start the inspecting the unit (SM-N910U) my note 4 feels me a fake Note4 like , and i am still suspecting that my Note 4 is not genuie (please see the pictures that i attached ,that why it makes to feel me like that), but however the phone INFO samsung says that it is original, and also my ANTUTU score is about 51300 , and please note that my s-pen is working with buttons and pointer, but i am not sure about that , so , please SM-N910U users help me to identify that my unit is original or Fake (please check my all the pictures that i have attached , see my box type , see the battery and back side of the phone and plese verify that , yours SM-N910U are just same or not , i have also searched and checked the google images and youtube videos for trying to found same box info or back side for only SM-N910U series but found out nothing ) and beside i have a few general questions about SM-N910U series as well at the following
1) when i first run my SM-N910U to set up it , it starts with chinese language and a chinese keyboard by default , so , i had switched the language and keyboard to english as well, but the keyboard is there in chinese by default and i am unable to un-tick or remove it (because i never use chinese and it is affecting my sms , handwriting , and s-voice usage style ) , is there any way to remove the chinise language support or keyboard with or without rooting ?? with stock rom as well ?? or if i just flash an other country coded firmware (not hong Kong)with the other modem firmware for the SM-N910U series from sammobile , can it be an international english version with 4G support or not ?? is it possible ??
2) on a some of other forums that i am just checking instractions for rooting my SM-N910U, i have read that, the chinese SM-N910U models (which is i thought mine it is ) is not capable with 4G/LTE and it is not fully compatible with 4G/LTE but, my band shows that and selected that "LTE/WCDMA/GSM(auto connect)" is it True or not ??
3) I just rooted my SM-N910U and i think i void my warranty (KNOX 0X1) , is there a way to reset this counter to 0x0 ?? or if i just fully uninstall root from Super su on menu -settings , my SM-N910U counter will be again to 0x0 or not ??
PLEASE NOTE THAT: I DONT THINK TO USE THE SWEET ROM FOR NOW , AND WILL CONTINUE AS STOCK A FEW WHILE
THANKS FOR YOUR HELPS

IMO. It is real note 4.
Go back to factory and try to do update. If it's real the phone will update.
its real.
1. no you need to flash a NZ ROM to get rid of chinese input. you cannot flash anything other than a 910u rom.
2. yes 910u supports LTE on some bands.
3. no you cannot reset warranty counter and you have destroyed knox security on the device permanently.

IMO. fake note 4 usually contain 720p HD display. The real contain Quad HD.
The different in this case is easily noticeable, especially somebody with real Quad HD display side by side.
Then if you doesn't state about it screen. I think it is positively sign.
I just checked my U and it looks the same as yours. Mine is real, so I think your safe. Time to relax.
no triangleaway cant reset it. mine is the same as yours and its real.
you cannot reset knox counter without buying a new phone.
Dear all friends , I want to say thank you for all (each by each ) that who just helped me about my questions and validate that my SM-N910U h.k version as a GENUINE and now i also agreed and make sure that this model (SM-N910U h.k ) is also an original Note 4 so, the case is closed for me , Those users that who have just the exactly same series of Note 4 , and who they could not find any info or pictures for verify it ,and also whose them is not sure that SM-N910U h.k is orjinal or not (like me ) can check the comments whose helped me and the pictures that i attached , so if all same with yours now you can make sure that its GENUINE SM-N910U h.k , lol i also verify that , and finally if the moderator wish to lock the thread he/She can lock it and can change Thread name as SOLVED thanks for all again
also one more last question to zurkx about flash a NZ ROM , even i asked it about my #5 post but i think Zurkx did not saw it ( thats my mistake sorry ) , i had asked that if can i also use the NZ modem firmware with the ROM as well ? , or i should not change the modem firm ??

yes the modem is the same on all the same models of the phone. so a 910U should have an intel modem (check it before flashing) which should be the same as the NZ intel LTE modem.
Well mine says camera 15.9 MP
So i went to some pages and found the same thing in all original note 4 but in those note 4 fake it says 12 MP.

Dear 1980Aksoy , Due to your Nick name, I am guessing that , you are an Turkish Member as well like me but i did not excatly understand that what you mean , but i am assumming that you are from Turkey , and i am from Cyprus , and Cyprus is not belong only to greek cypriots , so i am a turkish cypriot member, so thats why i am using Turkish Sim Card and the operator name is KKTCELL (it is an GSM operator partner of TURKCELL which is at TURKEY) , anyway if you read my #1 post you will understand why i prefered the SM-N910U model , but before i had an SM-N910H that which is the back side product label of the unit was different with the U model (as shown at the pictures) , so i know that the U model was an HK product , but i did not expected a different information label and a simple label (that feels not genuie) like , made by samsung with some chinese letters before i just unbox the unit after i just bought .
However the marketter are here too canny that they sell SM-910H (as an 3G variant) about 1800 TL , and they sell SM-910F (as an 4G variant) about 2300 TL , but even i dont prefer to buy an 4G or LTE version before because of the quad core (snapdragon variant) but after i search some info at google and forums , i found that some of eight cores (Exynos variants) variant work as an LTE as well (like SM-N910U, SM-N910C or SM-N910CQ (which is currently wide on Turkey) , and unfortunately it is hard to find SM-N910U and SM-N910C or SM-N910CQ units on Cyprus , and when i found 1 unit (SM-N910U) i bought it as an 3g price at 1800 TL from the seller ( because some of belives that all the Exynos variant does not support LTE) but this supports , so if the seller was made sure that this SM-N910U unit supports LTE , she would try to sell it to me as 2300 TL as an 4G unit

From what I can tell the main board is real because you have gotten OTA updates plus all the graphics look right. But I think the housing is a cheap aftermarket (look at the overspray of the black paint around the back edges), so it could possibly be a factory refurb. To answer your question about the N910F/N910U marking, since the base madel if N910F you will see the "F" even on "U" units, perfectly normal.
Sleep well!
Hi
Background: I am usually very thorough when buying a new phone. This time I Wasn't well for many days and in the hospital. Urgently needed a new phone and ordered 1 online from a used shop. I specially wanted i9500.. no other variant..
I got one, it said i9500 on the back cover (echted in the plastics and well as the paper... which said made in india.. also the paper/sticker wasn't samsung quality but maybe since it was used, and indian made, i thought ok..
Now I inserted my sim and turned it on... Some chinese s***t! then samsung logo then the TouchWiz.. But there were many chinese apps as well. AND IT DID NOT DETECT MY SIM. Settings say its an i9500.. it felt like a samsung but something was off... In camera, as soon as I took a pic, phone got shut off! Had to take out battery... (btw, it says android 4.42 and when I go to Update.. .Samsung says it cant as device has been modified)
reformatted phone... more chinese sh*t, then Android loads up and there is no play store!
So I downoad a Darky ROM for i9500 and try flashing.. viola!! success.. Android 5.0.1
It said Sim not registered... then that message dissappears and now it shows me FULL SIGNALS but when I try to dial anything, it says Not registered on network! - WHen I went to settings... in device it is now saying:SM-903F (is that a ROM thing or is that the real phone model I have..?)
Can someone please help me.. the phone is very important here in my hosp.. cant type/read a lot of my laptop, it is very energy comsuming
Regards
P.S My location is Pakistan
See if you can enter download mode (Volume down and Power). If you can get into download mode, read off the model number displayed on screen. If you can't, the S4 is counterfeit.
The phone could also be a combination of various parts from different hardware versions of the s4.
Also, check to see if the imei is okay.

Yes bro, I can see the IMEI..
I tried flashing another ROM (TouchWiz) - Still sim is not recognized (but signal bars goes to full.. even if I take out the SIM.. guess thats a ROM issue)
Anyways, still stuck.. Which modem should I try flashing... :|
I was going to suggest a stock 9500 rom from sammobile.com but there are only ROMs for the 9500, not 9500chn.
Googling the model 9500chn links to other people that have the same problem when trying to flash another rom.

The phone model become GT-I9500CHN because of Chinese bootloader that unfortunately very hard to get rid of this stuff.
______
Your phone might be trying to connect to China Mobile or China Unicom that uses TD-SCDMA instead of WCDMA for most regions.
Also, after you install DarkLord S6 port on your device, you'll get phone model on About device as SM-G903F (Galaxy S5 Neo) instead of the normal one for more compatibility (according to the developer).
I would try to check the IMEI online to see if this is original or not (ilegally tampered from other device).

Cheap chinese fake replicas. All ib one line.
Do nothing about it. Ordering online was the worst decision.
Now there are threads here on how to manage these clones. Read one of them

I hate chinese like u do... but this is not cheap
and it is actually a REAL Samsung Galaxy
problem is its GT-i9500CHN - aargghhhhhh - pain doubling... due to me being in hospital. cant go outside to kill someone
If you flashed custom ROMs and them boot, it's not a clone. I9500 performs an Exynos CPU, Chinese clones a Mediatek one, so just for this ROMs couldn't even boot.
All you can do is try to flash a stock firmware from SamMobile, an I9500 firmware coming from China, and see what happens.
By the way, I think this guy bought a Chinese (Genuine) I9500, then rooted it for install Google Apps, that would probably be the reason of the GApps disappearing after formatting (as far as I know, Chinese phones have a backup partition where an emergency copy of the stock firmware is located, I don't know if Samsung does this as well).
For the SIM problem, it's probably simlock, and it probably works only with a determined Chinese operator (or, again, it probably doesn't supports Pakistan's signal bands).
All you can do is check your IMEI on some dedicated site and see if it's simlock, then if it's not, check if the bands that your phone supports are compatible with Pakistan ones.
Sorry for my bad english.

Again, China's bands are TD-SCDMA, not WCDMA as we use mostly over the world.

Once again, GT-I9500CHN is just from the bootloader. Installing any GT-I9500 firmware should work.
