Blade buddy pro problem - Blade General

hi all
just to inform the good droid users out there that blade buddy version 1.28 to 142/3 doesn't do what it advertises also the support website closed and you will not succeed in sending email to the [email protected] and will receive error.
blade buddy states it can unlock certain blade mobiles but to date me and my friends have tried 16 different ZTE from blade, blade2 /3 and V blade L2 also kis/pro/3 etc and to date we haven't succeed to have the unlock option as it doesnt appear in menu.
all handsets were rooted, had highest busy box, full permission also had smart tools plus all paid apps but as yet not one unlocked handsets all handsets are from different networks and varying roms what are we doing wrong.
is there anything to worry about as the site been down for months if site closed I am out of pocket by many pounds as all are looking at me for solution also the advertised orange and Vodafone handsets that blade buddy meant to unlock also doesn't work hope this helps someone before they waste money if someone can solve this issue I will take this post down

Airtel HTC HERO 2.73.720.5

Just got my Airtel Carrier - HTC Hero (unlocked) 2.73.720.5
Im surprised that everyone besides India have a 2.73.4xx firmware. Is it just me or did India get a smaller updated edition (revision) compared to the rest of the world, or is this just Airtel's doing of a little extra in the firmware/rom.
After running from WM to the iPhone, Ive finally made peace (hopefully) with the HTC Hero (Android). Being an avid Star Trek Fan...all I can say is I've got "Data" - what about you all
I did my little share of forum searching, but I couldnt find a single post regarding the Airtel HTC Hero (the last HTC Magic was locked with that stupid and insanely painful SPL), so my question begins with
1) Is the Airtel HTC Hero using another crazy SPL?
2) If so, what guide should I follow for unlocking (ability to ROM upgrade/change)
3) I can confirm that we are NOT locked to SIMCARDS - I can use my Idea Cellular Simcard just fine.
Added questions include - are there "Kitchens" like we used to have for Windows Mobile ?
Hope someone can help me out here - I'd love to be part of the ol' Cooking & Chef team
Nice to know that Airtel has brought in the latest version of the ROM.
Did you buy it with the Airtel dealer OR from a conventional distributor. At Bangalore, it is priced at 32K. How much did it cost you?? I am more of a palm guy...the palm pre just does not seem to come out.
I paid 33,600 actually Couldnt get a better deal and didn't want to wait a few more days since I'm off to USA tomorrow (rdosti = shivam)
Performance
Guys,
I am planning to buy Hero through Airtel and have a few questions,
1. Is the airtel version unlocked ?
2. Should I buy from Airtel or open market ?
3. Any reasons not to buy it ? Performance ? sluggishness ?
and lastly, is it simple to update the firmware, I am very keen on the new Android 2.0 update for the new google GPS app.
thanks in advance,
Jaspreet
Only the first part of 2.73.xxx.x bit matter. The "xxx.x" refer to carrier and regional customization, the ROM is basically the same.
have same phone, in China.
Hi,
Did you root the phone? I have the same phone, but i bought it in China for 3100 rmb. I'm trying, and im stuck on downloading 'boot.img'... FAILED (remote: not allow)
im going through this guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=548218
Hope it works. ill post results later.
done!!! im on MoDaCo ver2.
Followed the following guides, in order.

Broken Blade Looking For Parts

Today i had an accident with my blade i slammed it in the car door by mistake, i did not notice that it fell from my pocket. The parts i am looking for are the following
1) OLED Screen + Digitizer
2) Zte Blade house casing
3) Battery
4) front button (home, menu , back)
For now i will be running around with a HTC Desire although the performance of this phone is much better than the blades i would still prefer to use my blade over this htc so if anyone knows where i could find the parts i need feel free to post and please no dealxtreme when i buy from them i always end up with missing items lol
Very sorry to hear about your Blade buddy. You can maybe check member found deals in the Xda marketplace. Recently I saw a thread regarding a new OLED screen in that sub forum.
Sent from my Blade using XDA app
i should have the phone fixed by tonight if all goes well found a bricked ZTE Blade for 15 euros going to buy it for parts and try to fix my blade.

the blade is working again without any problems but putting the parts together was hell since i dont have a lot of patience.
To be honest not sure about the htc since my favourite phones are all made by sony ericsson but at least i still got the blade

[Q] Which rom to use for a warranty return?

Hi folks,
I own a Galaxy S with a Cyanogenmod9 ICS ROM (which is amazing and works like a charm, by the way)
The phone is now 1 1/2 year old ans shows a massive burn in that's even visible in normal usage.
I called Samsung for a repair and they told me they will do it.
Now my question is: Which ROM should I flash before sending the device into repair. There are so many official and unofficial kernels around and I lost track of.
Another issue: F***ing Amazon sold me some eastern European model instead of a German one (forgot the exact country), so the newest ROM for Germany might not be apply to my device as it may be not yes available in eastern Europe.
I don't want Samsung to tell me I fiddled around with the ROMs and refusing the warranty.
Maybe a not so recent ROM would be the best!?
Thanks for any answer and thanks to the Cyanogenmod team for their great work.
Paul

[Q] dell XCD35 replacement?

I think the dell xcd i bought is a chinese blade...someone on xda with the same baseband as mine tried to unlock the ram following the tutorial for gen 2 blades .. and it got bricked ..:/ so not sure if i shoukd try especially since i have no prior experience..besides the blade checker app also says the phone in a chineseblade and gen 2.
Now since i bought it in feb the blade still carries warranty... my question is ..can i get a replacement for this working phone by just stating the low ram...or by pointing out other probs as wi fi keeps connecting and disconnecting constantly ..freezing cause of inadequate ram?
Or like someone here suggested ...by deleting specific files from the phone to brick it ?(if this is to be done ill need help from someone in mumbai as i am here for a week...)
let me know guys cause the phone is extremely slow with just the 256 mb ram..sometimes you need to wait for min or two.just to make a call :/
I am in mumbai for a couple more days so would appreciate suggestions soon...since there are no dell service centers where i am from.
thank you in advance
Any suggestions ?
I reckon u shd buy a one v (17k) or a micro ax ninja4.0 (5k)

ZTE Blade S6 All You Need To Know

Hello,
today I want to introduce the new smartphone from ZTE.
It's the ZTE Blade S6.
The main specs are a 5inch 720p Display, 2gb Ram and 16gb Rom and the storage is expandable. It is a DualSim phone (Nano simcard) with DualStandby and supports 4G LTE, too.
It comes with the brand new Snapdragon 615 (MSM8939) octacore processor clocked at 1,5GHz and the 64bit technology.
As you can see on the pictures below it is very thin with only 7,7mm and has small bezels around the screen. The back of the phone looks similar to the iPhone 6 with a 13mpx shooter from Sony (IMX214), a led flash, the ZTE branding and the loudspeaker. On the right side there is the volume rocker and the power button. On the other side are the sim trays and the place where you can put the micro SD-card inside. The USB-charging port is on the bottom and the 3,5mm headphone jack on top of the phone.
The overall look is very clean with round edges and handy sizes.
On the front of the phone you can see the 5inch HD Display and a blue homebutton you maybe already know from other ZTE devices like the Nubia Z5S, Z7 or ZTE V5. The front camera has 5mpx and should be perfect for some selfies.
The phone also supports some Smart Sense, which lets you launch apps like the music player or flashlight with gestures like flicking your wrist.
Very special is that the ZTE Blade S6 comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop and ZTE's own MiFavor 3.0 UI. The Google PlayStore is pre installed and it supports multilanguage. You can order the phone in two colors (silver, matte pink).
mod edit: Advertising for 3rd party vendors is against XDA rules
ZTE Blade S6 Specification Overview:
Network:GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz WCDMA 900/2100MHz FDD-LTE 800/900/1800/2600MHzPlatform:Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 615 octa-core chipset (MSM8939)Operating System:Android 5.0 LollipopSize:144 x 70.7 x 7.7mmDisplay:5.0inch 720p HD with In-Cell TechnologyCamera:Back: Sony IMX214 13mpx, Front: 5mpxBattery:2400mAhInterface:3.5mm Earphone Port, Dual Nano SIM, 5pin Micro USB, Micro SDMemory:16GB eMMC + 2GB RAM DDR3
Please check out the attached pictures of the ZTE Blade S6 in both colors silver and matte pink.
I will get one phone in the next 1-2 weeks and then I will write a full review of this phone, so stay tuned.
Update: Gearbest has sent me a new coupon code that I would like to share with you.
Code: ZTES6JY
-> Blade S6 costs 214,99$ with shipping from Germany. So it is very interesting for the customers from Europe because they don't have to pay taxes.
Iphone Look Alike
Looks Like iPhone.Well, after sales support is my only concern .
I really like the design, too and the specs look very nice. The Snapdragon 615 should have enough power and an HD screen is enough for 5inch. I hope that the battery will last a whole day or even a bit more.
I don't have any experience with after sale support, so I can't tell you something about it but ZTE is a nig brand and so I think there won't be any production issues.
looking at the frequency this phone should work on the rogers network in canada right? Is it unlocked from the factory?
Yes, it comes definately unlocked but please check the network used by rogers by your own. I'm not an expert and don't want to say something wrong.
I have updated Post 1#.
From today on the phone will be sent out and I hope that I will receive my phone next week.
I'm also waiting for Blade S6...I payed it 263usd but today you can get it for 249 on AliExpress... if there is any root guide, please share...
As posted above you can get it with an coupon code from gearbest for 234$, which I think is a good price for a Snapdragon phone from a big brand.
They dont sell to north america in this sale..
I thought they would sell worldwide.

Now is Chinese New Year and probably they will ship after New Year, I am still waiting for shipment details also
@naruto42 I get my phone from gearbest. The shop link is in post 1. My Blade S6 is at the moment stuck at the customer center in Germany. I hope that I will receive it this week.
I already got mine here in germany! Any ideas for gaining root?
Have you tried Framaroot?
yes, unfortunately its not working.
Tried: Framaroot, SRSRoot, Saferoot, iRoot, OneClickRoot, Eroot, Root Kit.
OneClickRoot submitted some data, maybe they can work something out?!
I will try to root it if I receive my phone. I have googled for ZTE Blade S6 root and the result was an instruction to Eroot.
