Hi,
I'm totally noob and have zero knowledge about rooting.
I just rooted my G7102 (kitkat 4.4.2 - XWUBNK1) with latest CF auto root. Had SuperSU 2.39 PseudoPro installed. Got notice available update through PlayStore then update. After that, check with Root Checker Pro and it show below message :
Root access IS correctly configured for this file! Executing this file can grant root access! Root user ownership is present and setuid attribute is not present.
What bold text does mean ?
is it correct rooted or not ? please guide me further for what I should do

Does anyone have the Stock Rom from the germarn UMTS model?
I have been rooting my device with the none UMTS version (US) and now can't go back. Unfortunately it is not posted in Lenovos OTA section and the versions with letter M in the name for other countrys fail to boot. Maybe some files are missing there (blob)!
The version I had before I updated and rooted it was:
K1 A301 01 01 111026 M GE.zip
I hope someone can upload it for me or get me a link.
Thank you.
You don't need the original firmware. Just flash US-02 (with nvflash). Next, take "K1_A301_02_02_111004_GE.zip" and then "K1_A301_11_11_111213_M_GE.zip". After that, you can get the latest OTA via the settings menu. This should work for the original US-02 as well as the rooted US-02.
Thanks. Working fine. Rooting again with nflash was a little complicated. But now I have the issue, that the external sd card could not be mounted, so i cant do app2sd.

Can you explain what you did exactly? It worked for me this way: flash rooted US-02-image with nvflash->turn on backdoor to keep root during OTA updates->install "K1_A301_02_02_111004_GE.zip" (move zip file to /sdcard/Download/update.zip and rebooot into recovery)->install "K1_A301_11_11_111213_M_GE.zip" (move zip file to /sdcard/Download/update.zip and rebooot into recovery)->perform OTA update via settings menu->install superuser and busybox and check if it works->reboot->turn off backdoor->reboot.
If you don't have the backdoor tools yet or a rooted US-02 image, look at this thread and download the file "K1 - PermanentRoot.7z".
I did all that.
But my root is gone after I flash K1_A301_11_11_111213_M_GE
I still got no sound after OTA to K1_A301_12_12_120109_M_GE
How to re-root?
You have no sound because the backdoor is still enabled. You have to install Superuser and Busybox (you can try to install "BusyBox Installer" and "Superuser" in Google Play). If both are working, reboot and disable the backdoor.
Superuser App installs fine but under Settings/General it shows:
SU binary vnull
If I try to update it tells me it does not find any old superuser and quits.
When I Try to install busybox it tells me it cant find superuser.
Yes I got no sound but how do I use the backdoor to install superuser?
...
Check out this post. This Rom (download K1_CWM_120109_M_GE_Rooted.zip)
should work , includes Root an CWM based on K1_A301_12_12_120109_M_GE.zip.

Did anyone know, or could add init.d support because of ability to move app2sd?
As if there aren't enough "root" threads already here is another one, when looking at Voodoo OTA Rootkeeper there are checkboxes for ( among other things ) "Device rooted" and "Root permission granted" what's the difference ?
'Device rooted' tells it that the device is rooted, and it will save SU and busybox.
Id imagine the 'root permissions granted' will also save the settings for SU, so you wont have to re-accept all apps that you already given root permission to.
Hi there thanks for the answer, I still don't totally understand, If I've got root access then the device by definition must be rooted !
I have upgraded my gt-i9505 to I9505XXUFNA5. But i cant root now. I did all the steps to root but when i use the app "root checker" i receive the message "Please wait for root check to complete. System appears to br running very slow." What can i do?

Go to the play store and download the free version of Titanium backup or Rom Manager.
Titanium backup and Rom Manager both require ROOT access and they will ask you to allow it.
Forget about the "root checker" app, it's not needed and perhaps it's even faulty.
If Titanium backup or Rom Manager asks for root access and you grant it, it means that you are
fully rooted and you don't have any issues with root.
If trying the above does not show you that you do indeed have root access then download
cf-autoroot and unzip it and flash the TAR file using Odin.
CF-AutoRoot will give you full access after flashing it, but even then use Titanium backup
or Rom Manager to make sure you have root, not that "root checker" app you have.
Here is the direct download link for cf-autoroot:
http://download.chainfire.eu/316/CF-Root1/CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505.zip?retrieve_file=1
This zip file contains cf-autoroot.tar and the Odin files in case you need it.
Unzip all the files into an empty folder on your desktop.
Good luck!
Normally this would be fixed by editing platform.xml in /etc/permissions, but if I try to edit that file I get an error that says the entire filesystem is read-only. The app has already been granted root access, so I'm not sure if this is an issue with root, or perhaps there's something else I'm missing.
I followed the instructions in this thread to upgrade to 5.1.1, then I installed WanamLite from this thread.
Any pointers?
Have your re-root your device?
5.1.1 is a bit problematic to ROOT.
5.1.1 Stock ROM uses secure kernel that causing bootloop when you root it.
Use a permissive kernel to successfully root your device.
Edit:
Your first step (Stock ROM) is not rooted.
I suspected there could be an issue with the root, yeah.
I downloaded a root checker and it says it is rooted fine. For every other purpose it seems to work as expected (editing /etc/hosts to prevent ads works fine, for instance), just not for editing platform.xml.
I had a problem like this problem last week when I moved on to 5.1.1. I was getting a pop-up that said this folder is not writable, when trying to set my folder from the sd card.
Try sdfix by nextapp
After upgrading to flyme7, Meizu limits the full root privileges. After the system settings get root, installing supersu can't be used, and root privileges may be lost after reboot.
You can now get full root privileges by executing the script. You can get full root privileges by following the procedure below.
1. Required attachments: root script, MT toolbox
2. Restart after the system settings get root, install the MT toolbox, click the Root script.sh and execute it, agree to the MT toolbox to obtain root privileges, the script will automatically get the full ROOT, and then automatically restart.
3. After restarting, the SuperSU icon will appear on the desktop. After clicking enter, it will be used normally. The xposed framework can also be activated normally.

Good post. But from my experience with flyme, you are just fuc** flyme. Flyme is a heavily customized rom and it is not stable with xposing. You will understand as time goes.
Is it worth playing with this? What is the benefit of this script over the usual way getting root access on the phone?
In the case this is more useful, is there a link where it is directly downloadable? The link in the main post is just keep asking ti install an app instead of downloading the zip file. Could you please upload the script to where it can be easily downloaded and not require additional apps to install.
