Recently I purchased a Note 3 (N9005) from Saudi Arabia. I put a SIM card from Saudi Arabia (STC Carrier) and made calls also. But i made calls to different mobile numbers altogether it will b more than 5 minutes. in the palm let also its stating that a cumulative calls of 5 mins will unlock the region locking. now iam in India and the region lock is present. i tried the Region Lock-away (thanks to Chainfire) , but unfortunately it doesn't support kitkat firm-wire. but now i have a working STC prepaid connection also. a 5 minutes of cal can unlock me or is there is anyway to unlock the phone. any help would be appreciated. ok, so here's my condition.
i got my note 3 from saudi arabia, and brought it here in india. now the problem is the the same which is common to most of us here. the region lock thingy. so my note 3 is on mj7 firmware. now what i need to know is that is it possible, that i install xnote 7.0 and will get past the region lock thingy. or is there any other way ?
i have read that cf region lock away isnt compatible with the mj7 firmware. so please give me some advice.

I have bought here in Israel a i9505.It in in 4.3
Just root it and installed CWM.
If i look at the box, i can see that it is coming from Europe (i don t have the sticker with region lock but i have a list of countries...)
I can''t know if it was region lock or not but it working with no issues with my Israeli SIM card
My question : if i upgrade to an official 4.4.2 ROM, will it be still region unlock or will it be lock ?

I have rooted and tried with region lock away app but still Im getting Invalid SIM card, Network Locked SIM card inserted.
Please help me how can I unlock the same? can i flash inu firmware odin then sim unlock problem sloved?

Samsung sometimes(often?) region lock their phone, which means if your phone is region locked then you would have to use it in Europe to region unlock it before using it with an Argentina SIM card, or pay for it to be region unlocked.

Can I install the Polish 5.0 build on a Carrier locked EE (UK) Note 9005?
Sorry for the question. I'm struggling to understand the requirements. My Note 3 is locked to EE. If I install the unbranded Lollipop 5 on this will it cause issues? Does the SIM lock have any affect on the ROM?
I'm thinking if I install the Polsih or UK Vodafone Firmware the phone will no longer work on my Provider? All I would then need to do is request a Unlock code?
