So I'm having an issue with my internal storage. I keep getting insufficient space warnings, but I have hardly used any space at all. I have attached a screenshot of my storage settings. It doesn't add up. This is a 16 Gb Model of the Canadian S4.

I am currently trying to install some apks i found in samsung application provided with the phone. For some reason, it says my phone does not have enough space to install asphalt 5 when i clearly have 6.33GB on my SD card.
After that, i decided to install some apk files i found online but it is giving the same error message on some of the apps. Does anyone have the same problem?
Edit: i just decided to look at the my storage again and i noticed theres an interal SD card with 6.33 GB left and a internal phone storage with 1.02 gb left. Am i getting this message because of the internal phone storage? Could someone tell me the differnence between the 2?
bump! i cant seem to figure it out
You have about 2GB of storage space for apps. What you want to look at is under SD Card and Phone Storage at the bottom of the page under Application Storage. It should tell you how much app storage space you have. Strange that you are running out of space unless you have crap ton of apps or running a lag fix. Depending on what lag fix you are running I know low storage space is a side effect.
Hey,
So I got this weird problem. I saw some apps of mine being located in the sdcard even though I had like 800MB free space left in the phone's internal storage.
Well, I moved this stuff to the internal storage and I noticed how eg. an application that took 2MB in the sdcard now showed up taking 20MB in the internal storage(?!).
The Available Space under the Internal phone storage item in the SD & phone storage section also showed that I had lost this same 20MB.
E: huh, the Available Space under the SD card shows the same thing. So I guess this is a bug of some sort.
But I still got a question: why was this stuff automatically installed to the sdcard when there was so much internal space left too?
Some apps automatically install straight to the SD card. Also some custom roms have a setting for installing straight to sd

Hey forum crawlers, I have a question about hte internal storage. I'm using the Highway 55 rom and I'm using the MF9 bootloader btw.
I kept getting notified that I'm running out of space and such. Well, when I checked on the storage breakdown, I apparently have around 7 GB of 'miscellaneous' files. When I click on it, the largest file is the 20 MB of thumbnails for the gallery.
What gives? Does anyone know what is up with this?
Your nand backups are probably stored on your internal memory instead of your external sd card. That is usually the biggest culprit. Also, cloud storage also ends up on internal so that also could be the problem. Lastly, if you downloaded any movies from the watchon app they will install on internal unless you specify external.
This is only for internal storage. There are downloaded pictures disappearing from my gallery and also screenshots. This is only on internal storage. Please help!
Check your internal storage you may be very low on memory
I have only used 11.93 GB out of 32.00 GB
My wife has the Verizon XT1609 model of the G4 Play, it comes with 16 GB internal storage. I added 120 GB SD card and formatted it as internal storage so that there wouldn't be an issue with space running out, but that isn't working. For some reason, the built-in internal storage is still filling up even though there are 70-80 GB available on the SD card. I can't move any Apps because everything is already internal storage
Has anyone else had this issue with this phone? Could it be a bug in Android 7.1, maybe flashing a 9.0 ROM would fix it?
Same problem and not solution yet... i have 32gb and alway say.. low space
