When I try to flash the latest version of twrp onto my device(d802), it will write the following error : " 'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."
I have ADB installed and working.

Ok guys, so here is the deal
The phone was rooted and Oxygen ROM installed, but it has a major problem: The USB Mass Storage DOES NOT WORK! And the android market keeps closing(Force Close).
To install another ROM, you need to put files on your internal memory(the zip with the rom), but since the USB Mass Storage does not work, it seems "impossible".
You can't download files to the phone's internal memory, it asks for and SD Card.
Already tried putting the zip on external SD Card and then using ES File Explorer move it to Phone, but a message pops up saying that the file cannot be moved.
So the question is how to install another rom, or at least fix the USB Mass Storage problem. Is it possible to use external SD Card files on Clockwork Recovery like "install zip form SD Card"?
Also the internal memory and RAM capacity are not being shown correctly.
Thanks in advance!
dude it simple , if ur usb mode i not detected then take out the memory card and use a memory card reader to put other rom zip , if u dont have card reader then put the card in some other mobile fone use it to put the files . problem solved
It does read the external SD Card, but there is no option in ClockWork Recovery to install a zip from an external SD Card...
If you have oxygen installed, then you have the custom recovery image, which definately have an option to install zip from sdcard.

Tried through ROM manager, comes up with an error
SD Card marker not found...
Error verfying extendedcommand
And when you chose "Install Zip From SD Card", it goes to phone memory, which is kinda locked, cus you can still install the oxygen rom that's in there, but cannot place new files, already tried through ES Explorer(it fails).
Any suggestions?
I have the exact same problem, a solution I read somewhere is rebooting into recovery mode, and then go to "mounts and storage". There mount sdcard and usb storage.
Didn't work for me though, it gives "E:Unable to write to ums lunfile (no such file or directory)
edit: it's your lucky day, I just solved it after 3 hours of work ;D
what I did was:
- Go to recovery mode
- installed adb drivers (can't post URL because of not having 8 posts, i'll pm them if you want)
- put the cyanogenmod zip in the adb folder (for me "C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools"
-opened up a command prompt and typed "adb push cgm.zip /sdcard
-then I installed from zip. phew!

EDIT:
Oh... ADB drivers on PC...

Hi, I am unable to push a zip to the sdcard for installation in CWM. I don't have a rom to boot to, which is why i have to push it in recovery. I've tried adb push /data/media, /sdcard, /storage/sdcard0, /mnt/sdcard. ADB shows a successful transfer in the command prompt, however it doesn't show in "install zip from sdcard". Pls help
So i have been looking around the forums for a solution to the problem that i am having. I have andriod 2.3.5 with a th3ory rom on it.

I think i updated adb before starting. i followed all directions.
No i do not have a backup of my original state. Thats half the problem.
I would greatly appreciate anyone's help
Chdir or cd to the directory were you have installed the android toolkit. It is saying that because it can't find the adb command. In order for it to work from any directory you must add the folder location it is in to your path. You can Google for how to do this.
Also might need to type adb.exe when you do finally get to the correct folder.
Can't get OTA Jelly Bean to root
I just installed the OTA 4.1.1 on my Razr M and tried to root it using motofail2go. After I ran the program it rebooted and Superuser was installed. However, rootchecker says I'm not rooted and every root required app acts as if I'm not. Therefore I'm assuming the root didn't work. Is anyone else having this problem? What could I be doing wrong?

Use RSD lite, find a fresh 4.0.4 ICS file, flash you're phone back to ICS. Then use motofail root method. Then download voodoo root saver app. Go into the voodoo app, save root. Then do the JB 4.1.1 update, go back to the voodoo app re-enable the saved root. And wallaa. Make sure safe strap is disabled before doing the OTA update or it will fail.

Looking through the forum I have noticed the complaints on low internal-sdcard space.
This is a workaround for this issue
What's required:
A fast SD-card with greater than 16GB will benefit you the most
Tegra device ofcourse with an unlocked bootloader!
USB cable
TWRP recovery (Can be found here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2586432)
Installation:
Format SD-Card into EXT4 file system (This will wipe your whole SD-card ofcourse so do backup!)
Copy downloaded zip file onto your tegranote device
Reboot into recovery
Locate and install zip file
If you cannot do the above you can also use adb sideload in terminal (Sideload with TWRP (Terminal command "adb sideload zipfile.zip"))
Issues:
Internal Userdata does not mount as external-sd when formatted to FAT so keep it as EXT4 file-system for now
Download Links:
Stock 4.2.2: http://d-h.st/N7Q
Modified 4.2.2: http://d-h.st/jbM
can you reupload that mod please?
id like to use it since exFat is not working and fat32 is not a filesystem for me :/
Will this work on 5.1?

Did anyone test this on Android 5.1 ?
Hi all,
I have been trying to convert my 128gb SD card to internal storage on my Galaxy Tab A without rooting.
The initial option of storage settings and formatting to internal is not there so I have been trying the Cmd option through the adb shell. The only problem with this is that cmd does not bring up anything when I type in adb shell (the tablet is connected to the laptop and in MTP with usb debugging enabled)
The adb command only shows up if I am using adb/fastboot cmd.
Now, when I bring up said cmd, it shows the following when i try to partition the 'disk':
gtaxllte:/ $ am list-volumes all
private mounted null
public:179,33 mounted 5657-0196
emulated mounted null
I then enter the following:
gtaxllte:/ $ am partition disk:179,33 private
And it does nothing, it doesn't do anything to the sd card and makes no changes. Just shows the next line:
gatxllte:/ $
What am I doing wrong here and can anyone help me please?
Thank you.
