Hi,
I just bought the galaxy note 4 and it came with a custom rom and i want to go back to stock as fingerprint does not work .Attached there is the model number of phone. There is somthing that doesn't make sense the model number finishes with F means its international firmware. The PDA have T means its a t-mobile phone. Ireally dont know which to choose from sam mobile as a firmware. Does the firmware on network will lock your phone on that network? does it will have bloatware? Which firmware to choose? Helpp mee and thanks in advance

Under your battery you will find a label with your model number on it.

Hi guys.
I'm planning to buy Note 4 in my country, Turkey and they sell sth called N910CQ. I heard that they disabled 4G in that model. I'm not sure if it's about that or not because we don't have 4G here yet. My question is, is it ok to flash N910C stuff to N910CQ? I read that the only difference is CSC and I read that it's about Signals. Thank you.
I am using Note 4 N910CQ - Turkcell device running Russian Firmware (N910C). No issues at all. Device does support LTE unfortunately we don't have a LTE connection.
My phone's about screen says it's N910C not N910CQ

Oh great then! So we can flash kernels and roms for 910C. Do you know what are differences between C and CQ?
There is no differences between C and CQ. Q stands for Turkey nothing else. You can flash C rom to your device.
One thing you should pay attention is when you flash a C firmware instead of original CQ FW, model number shows N910C which makes easier to detect odin flashed firmware if you care about warranity. But anytime you can return to stock CQ with no problem.
Hi all,
Been trying out a couple of different custom roms and somewhere along the lines the Model Number of my phone changed from N910G to N910F.
I'm now on the X-Note rom and I am wondering if there is anyway to switch the model number back to N910G? I tried asking on the X-note thread but it was ignored.

Flash a custom ROM that's based on n910g firmware or change model number in build prop it really doesn't matter model number as long as phone works with rom that's y you where ignored because you answered your own question u flashed n910f ROM that's y model number changed
I'm kind of wondering the same thing except I may be more noobish. Lol. I have a sm910t note 4 and I flash the maximum overdrive rom, my model number changed. I just wanna know, if I wanted to change the rom to something else, do I download a rom for what I know my real number is or was? Or do I look for one compatible to this new model number? Sry if it's a stupid question. This rom I'm currently using makes my phone think it's a note 5. I know that's the reason the model number changed, but please, all u android experts, help out bcuz I don't want to destroy my phone. Also since I flashed this rom, there a red text line saying something about kernel. What does that mean?

It will be because the rom you have currently flashed will be based on a firmware from the model it changed to. I currently have a note 7 custom rom on my note 4 n910f. My model has changed to n920f on about phone. If you change your rom again flash one for your original model.
As for the red txt does it say "kernel is not SEandroid enforcing"
Yes it does.

So I was wondering if this is possible. My phone (A510F running lollipop 5.1.1) is locked to a carrier but I was planing on flashing an unbranded 6.0.1 (from Italy). Marshmallow will eventually come to my country but I just can`t wait anymore. Will flashing this firmware brick anything ?? I am well aware that the phone will remain locked to my carrier, since the lock has to do with the phone`s imei number, but is anything else going to be affected ? Anyone had a similar experience ? Your answers are really appreciated.
Bad idea, never flash unbranded firmware on a locked phone as it leads to all sorts of problems. Get turn phone unlocked first and then u can flash any firmware.

what about flashing flashing a unlocked note 4 ?

why would you ask Note 4 questions in A Series threads when the Note 4 threads are at least 10x more active? Besides, no one will know the answer here anyway.
i just bought a galaxy note 4 it's supposed to be N910F varient like the rom and the label behind the battery say but when i enterd odin mode first the language was korean and the product name is N910K and it did not accept the flash with odin so i want to know if the phone has been modified in term of the hardwares or simply there is a flashing problem so help me guys plz !! thnx
Flash N910K firmware
It might be a wrong packaging box. Product name which shown on Odin Mode is the right Model No. of your phone.
Have you tried to flash with N910K firmware???
You can flash with right N910K firmware.

You are 1 of 100s of victims who have been fooled by masked N910F..
Your phone is korean note 4 n910k from sk telecom and probably spoofed refurbished and fake n910f label and rom but your hardware is still n910k and you cannot flash n910f firmware.
Its very easy to fake the software in build.prop by root even i can do it.if you go to download mode you will see definitely knox is triggered 0x1 so it means it was rooted before.
N910k is exynos octa core processor and n910f is qoad core snapdragon i beleive so they are completly diffrent hardware. dont even try to flash n910f roms or firmware otherwise you may end up brick your device.
You can only flash n910k firmwares.
If you flash n910k firmware you will end up using korean bloatware apps and dialer also in korean language and your device will show roaming signal all the time unless you live in korea and use sk telecom sim card.
My best suggestions will be return back the device ASAP !

I have this firmware Bro.
The same thing happened to me with a Note 3 phone in the past. Everything showed that it was a Note 3 N9005 but when you boot into recovery it showed N900VXX etc. So I returned it and bought N9005 from another place.. Recently a friend of mine has bought a Note 3 and he asked me to flash a custom rom for him. I checked everything and it is N900VXX etc as well. It is even rooted but there is no sign of SuperSu in the apps list. I didn't flash anything but my friend is happy with his phone. So he didn't return it... The screen didn't look as shiny as N9005 screen anyway...
Hello. I recently bought the Note 4 device from a phone store. I made all necessary checks and discovered it's a real Note 4, however, on getting home I decided to do further checks and downloaded the Samsung info app.
Then I noticed some inconsistencies. Whilst in about phone, it is written that the phone is the n910f model, the Samsung info app states that it is n910v and even the refurbishment check says it is a refurbished phone.
I want to upgrade this phone to marshmallow and possibly install custom rooms, I am however confused on whether to download the n910f marshmallow room or n910v. Please help

Yes there are dozens of roms available but you have to unlock bootloader+Twrp recovery+root to have in order to flash any roms.
If you have patience and knowledge in samsung phones you can do it otherwise i suggest use the way you bought or just flash stock N910V marshmallow firmware via odin
You can download stock from www.sammobiles.com/firmwares.
Or if you succeed to unlocking bootloader you can go for custom roms

Thanks so much. Will do as you suggested and quote you in the future if I encounter any challenges
I had a question.
Do I have to flash TWRP for the Verizon version or the other? Cause my Bootloader says it's SM-N910V.
Thanks!
