Hello,
I had an alert BroadAnywhere with CM-Security after an analyze when I install it on my new SM-901F rooted.
So I try to do a wipe from standard recovery and after that reinstall immediately CM_Security and it was there so it's a vulnerability present in rom.
So i just treat this vulnerability and now CMSecurity doesn't detect it anymore.
I use this rom G901FXXU1ANI4 - Bouygues (Android 4.4.4).
You had also this with other roms?
Thanks.

here in sweden we recived a new firmware, after installation i get this SE enchanced version of android saying that a program wants to use unauthorised access to system and you should reboot... and i cannot activate WI-FI.
anyone with information about how to solve this would be nice, i have factory reset, and wiped the phone and all but still cannot activate WI-FI
All,
I need help re-rooting my phone. I had a stock recovery, rooter phone (to remove/ disable bloat). I received an update from TMobile (the version is still 4.4.2, but build is now KOT49I.D80120g. I could not stop it from applying the update and my phone lost root. I'm now unable to find a way to root it again. Towelroot does not work (your device is not supported) and ioroot says it does not work on 4.4.2.
Please help with what could I try.
Thanks a lot in advance.
wondering if you ever found the solution,. i am on that build as well.
even worse is i can't get into download mode to go back to an older version and install a custom recovery.
i have a rooted stock rom with twrp as my custom recovery... i'm trying to update the security patches but since i'm rooted, the firmware won't allow me and has instructed me to update it manually using smart switch... is there a way around this so that i don't need to connect it to my laptop?
anyway, i have since installed smart switch on my laptop... however, i've yet to press the update button because of this caution: "A rooted device may cause updates to fail, unstable mobile phone operation, and/or other problems." has anyone tried updating via smart switch? if yes, will it unroot my device and revert to stock recovery (really not an issue because i can just re-apply both)? will it cause any other issues?
thanks!
Hi.
Can some one help check my Elephone S7 (4G-64GB) bootloader status? I've tried the code and some apps, but the code doesn't work and the apps some don't work while others say "unknown" .
On another subject, stock rom related:
- After installing twrp and the latest stock rom, does OTA still work? I think it should since it's the same rom just a different recovery, but I would like confirmation.
- I don't know why but on my Elephone S7 the google startup wizard doesn't start. I even got the wizard apk, but it installs and doesn't run. So I'm thinking... (maybe I shouldn't ) can we install open gapps using twrp without any problems?
Thanks!
Hi everybody,
My past Zuk Edge died, so i bought a new one.
Unfortunately, the website where i bought it sent me a "modified" Zuk Edge:
It's in 2.3.079 ST (ZUI Version) based on Android 6.0.1 BUT...
- it's an unofficial ROM (not the Stock one) cause for example a lot of languages are available (not only English & Chinese), i can't find the "Search for updates" button, a lot of Chinese apps (like WeChat etc) are not there, GAPPS were already installed on the device, some icons are different...
- i think there is a Custom Recovery because when i reboot into recovery mode, the device asked me "Chinese" or "English" language and then i have a screen where i can reboot, poweroff, or... "install update package", so i guess its a custom recovery? (TWRP? Another one? How can i know?)
Anyways, i was so pissed off, until i rebooted my device into bootloader mode... I was surprise, but it's still saying "Device state - locked"...
I know this is the only think which is non-reversible and which make me UNABLE to get OTA updates forever, so i'm glad they haven't unlocked it.
Now i'm a bit lost. How should i proceed to go back to a perfectly 100% original Zuk Edge? Like NO custom recovery, and go back to Official Stock ROM?
PS: the device ISN'T rooted (i checked with Root Checker)
