[Q] Download Booster Toggle in Notification Panel - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does your note 4 have download booster toggle ? As I don't have that toggle in my note 4
If you guys have it, I need your help.. Any variants of note 4 you own wether it's exynos or snapdragon, I'll still try it..
I want to add Download Booster toggle in my note 4 notification panel, but I can't find the methods
I already try solution that available for S5 by adding "WifiCalling;" in settingsstorage.apk>setting.db>system>notification_panel_active_app_list via SQLite editor.
If there someone that have download booster toggle in their note 4 and can paste what's written in notification_panel_active_app_list, I'll give my big thanks to him/her.
Thank you

On N910C : swipe down on notification area with 2 fingers and you should see Download Booster. Tab on edit icon (pencil icon at top right corner) and you should be able to re-arrange toggles the way you want.

I have the 910H variants, and by default it isn't there.
I already flash the system, recovery, kernel, and csc of 910C variants in my device, but it still didn't show up.
That's why I also ask if someone can open sqlite editor and paste it here, so I can modified mine and show it in my phone

N910H is the 3G-only variant, hence Download Booster being absent - it's intended to be used with LTE, although it does of course work with 3G (and even 2G) as well. Dare say you'll need to wait and see whether other varisnts' ROMs can eventually be ported to your variant.

Well, mine is actually 910H, but I have 910C Official Stock ROM running in my phone.
I have the download booster menu in settings and it can show the notification when it's active (haven't try it though, I'm run out of data so can't really test it), but only missing the toggles in notification panel that make it easier to On/Off those feature

on the note 2 there were a few roms that cam out right before the note 3 that came out that were tablet rom and looked and worked amazing i was wonder if those were possible because of the unlocked bootloader or it it possible to get that same kind of thing on this phone talking about something such as the attached picture

Yeah I'm with you on this. You can use Phab7 Xposed MOD that will enable the dual pane settings across all apps ok, but force closes the SystemUI whenever I try to enable the full tablet mode. If you read that thread you can see the developer's responses to me trying to get it to work.
The issue is that our SystemUI.apk is missing the resources necessary for tablet mode to kick in. Enabling a basic navbar is possible on our device, but doesn't cut it for me entirely because I don't have clock, battery, and signal icons down there.

no idea man, i wish or i'd be working on it. i'm familiar with decompiling/editing/recompiling with a set instructions but i'm not a developer to actually figure out what we'd need

[Q] Notifications on VZW S5 lock screen?

I'm thinking of upgrading to a VZW S5 from my old Note 2 (which I love, but which I've finally decided is too big and I need the waterproofing).
Anyway, one question I have which I haven't easily found an answer to:
Can the VZW S5 show notifications on its lockscreen? From any app?
I know there are third party apps to do this like Locker Pro 2 and Slide Lock, but I would prefer if it was a capability that was already built-in.

Running the latest update, I get "New Message" notifications. I believe there's a setting to display the contents as well.
Go to messages click on the 3 Lil squares on the upper right hand side. Scroll to notifications click on it scroll down . then check off pop up display, lock screen, status bar. And your good to go.

hi ,
if you got root and xposed installed, then ok, take a look at this app "Intelli3g"
Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.voidvapps.intelli3g
or XDA link http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/themes-apps/app-intelli3g-2g-3g-4g-toggle-battery-t2580234
been using it for quite some time to switch between eg. LTE /3G vice versa
or any other like you want 2G..3G
good luck
use xorware module, and xorware widget you need both installed

How to enable System UI Tuner ?

Hello,
As you may know, Android 6 has a hidden feature, called System UI Tuner. This can be enabled by long-pressing the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the notifications bar. Once enabled, a new section appears in Settings, called "System UI Tuner". I think Developer mode must be enabled too for this to work, and animations must be on.
But on the S7 Edge, this doesn't seem to work. Tried to long-press that icon, and nothing. Animations are on, developer mode is enabled.
Did anyone succeed in enabling this ?
Thanks !

Really ? How can I remove icons from the status bar, like the Bluetooth icon even when it is enabled, for example, and have more room for notification icons ?

System UI Tuner isn't available on Touchwiz. Samsung removed it. However, I'm guessing most of you upgraded to Android Nougat, but for those of you who haven't should get this app called Good Lock.
Good Lock is an app made by Samsung that actually replaces the System UI on your phone, and will make it almost stock Android. I sure you still won't find System UI Tuner by holding the Settings button, but I sure that there is a setting in the Good Lock Settings menu to do so. My thought is that the Good Lock Settings Menu is their version of System UI Tuner.
You can find Good Lock in the Galaxy Store, but if it is not there for whatever reason, then just sideload it from this link here.
(apkmirror.com/apk/samsung-electronics-co-ltd/good-lock/good-lock-24-0-16-release/good-lock-24-0-16-android-apk-download)
--enter the link without the brackets, xda won't allow me to post links until I have made 10 posts--
I'm not sure if this will work in Nougat, as in the website it said that the minimum version of Android is Marshmallow, and the maximum version of Android is Marshmallow.
If you are willing to take the risk, try it and let us know if it will work.
Hope I helped!
It is pretty much impossible
You can't enable it Samsung and other companies have disabled it in manufacturing
How to enable system UI tuner in Samsung j5 prime
Go here and try it. I did get it working on my s7 edge non rooted but I recently had to do a factory reset and I can't get it to work. https://www.recovery-android.com/tips/access-system-ui-tuner-s7.html
i think this would be a better decision as it wouldnt require a computer.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zacharee1.systemuituner
simply enable with adb once and you can tweak your phone anywhere without having to use a computer

Sprint version, static GPS icon

Quick question:
I have the Sprint version. I've noticed a GPS icon that doesn't seem to go away from the status bar. I've searched around and found that all other published screenshots on forum/blogs etc (would be on the GSM version) do NOT have this icon. It will get crossed out if I turn off Location services, but will not go away.
Anyone have ideas for how to remove these? I'd prefer not to Root, but will if necessary. I know you can root-->xposed to modify these icons. Just trying to make sure I'm not missing a menu somewhere that lets us turn these off (BT, NFC, GPS icon)
Thanks in advance -

This must be your first Sprint HTC phone. That is called reticle icon for location. To remove it completely you need to install a custom ROM like Badboyz. It is removed by default.
It's been a while. I had the M7. I get a new phone about every 6mo. I'm mostly a Nexus fan, but when new good devices come along, I like using them for a while. That circle (along with the NFC and BT icons) are essentially worthless. Wish they'd enable the System UI tuner from Marshmallow and allow us to turn those icons off.
Not sure I want to root/ROM just yet. I'll probably wait a bit. Thanks for the reply.
