Hello, I have a G Watch, and I know you can answer Whatsapp messages with it, but what about sending one when nobody actually did? i.e. begin a conversation or tell someone you're late without needing that person to tell you nothing.
I hope you can help me.
And no, not going to use SMS or other platforms. If it's not possible, please say so.
Nobody knows how to help me? D:

Hi LoTableT, it was my mistake.
After you told me that, i had realized that i didn't mention in the description that after the installation you need to restart the watch.
I've tested alot my app but i only have 1 watch to do the testing.
Since you already bought the app, please try to download it again(in a few hours will be active again in the playstore), root the phone and restart the watch after the installation, then all should work perfectly.
And offcorse, if you have any kind of problem you can contact me, I will be happy to help.
Thank you for everything.

Finally got the update as well.
I'd really like to know a solution as well, as it's really annoying.
Don't really want to use another gallery app either, so a solution is needed. I don't understand why they had to do this in the first place?!
Hi I would really like to know the answer to this question as well
I would like to keep the stock gallery app as well
If anyone could a lend a hand to solving this issue it would be very much appreciated
thank you
I've got the led notification for group chats turned off and the led notification for the normal chats on. When someone talks to me when my screen is off, the led starts to blink. But when someone starts to talk in a group chat, the blinking suddenly stops. So i miss notifications on 1 to 1 conversations when group members are chatting actively.
I've tested this on my friends HTC one X and he has the same problem.
Are you guys experiencing this problem too?
greets,

Already activated it but Floating Messages is a bit different: more like Messenger's chat head.

I dont Really know what you mean with messengers chat head but I can tell you that original ''floating messeges'' is in touchwiz since s6 so you are searching something which wasn't there. S6 s7 and note 5 ports have the option but not stock n910f firmware.

Hi all,
I have an Erisin 6046B Android 6.01 HU. The bluetooth integration works great, but I'd like to have the ability for Whatsapp (and SMS) messages that are sent to my phone, to be displayed nice and clearly on my HU? Or at least (in the interest of safety), read out by my HU?
I have used an excellent app called Drivemode on my phone before, which reads out Whatsapp and SMS - but obviously that would just still be on my phone. It would be cool if this could connect to the HU and read them out there through the car's speakers.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Read It To Me (for Android phones anyways), but on my unit, I haven't figured out how to do it via A2DP for better quality rather than through mono BT.

Unfortunately Samsung removed the custom sms tone that you could select in the contact apps (if the contact was on the phone btw) in Oreo. I guess because of the new notifications system in Oreo.
To get the same feature, you can install the "Android Messages" SMS client (the one from Google) and let it replace the Samsung messages application. With android messages you get a distinct notification for each conversation. And as such you can have a distinct tone for each conversation (so for each individual person). I have not tried to see if the custom notification persist if you remove the conversation (I know it was NOT the case in Nougat for either Android Messages, or Textra can't remember exactly)
I can confirm on my phone that this feature is gone after the Oreo update
(I had the beta but never checked or used it)
I know for a fact on the Verizon messaging app you can set different notification sounds for each individual contact

Have same issue since Oreo update yesterday. Need another option for messaging since custom tones are gone
Galaxy S8 no longer has the ability to do individual sms notification sounds after oreo update in the native messenger app. Samsung/Google really dropped the ball on that one. I guess it's their way of forcing us into a different messaging app. What's next... they'll take away the ability to make phone calls so that we have to use an app like Facebook messenger or hangouts to make calls?
This is the stupidest **** ever. I ****ing hate when am "update" ends up removing features you used to have. And no I don't want to use a 3rd party sms. I ****ing hate the oreo update.
Workaround
Hey everyone. This may be a good temporary fix if you want to keep the default Samsung SMS app for now:
Note: Unfortunately I am not able to post a link. The app is called SMS Popup and there are really good instructions on how to set it up on a site called the androidsoul
This loads a small separate app that overrides just the notification portion of the default Samsung messenger app. Haven't tried it yet...that's next. But it looks promising.

I was wondering if this actually worked since it doesn't look like Zedge can do it and a reviewer commented that they couldn't get this working either...still would prefer to have this baked into the OS like it was in Nougat but wanted to see if this worked and how well it works (glitches like not working...I had this app when I had my Nexus 5 and it was ok...can't recall why I uninstalled eventually tho).

The site I found the info on was from March 22 and listed the S9 as one of the devices the fix will work for, so I hope it is the magic "temporary" key. If someone beets me to testing it, please post your results. I have to wait until I am done doing some business before I start messing with my messenger
SMS Popup make two sound. Standard & later custom one. Its no a solution.

Huh? I know about Textra but it doesn't play nicely with my Gear S3 Frontier so no thanks.
I actually liked Samsung Messages (especially since I've ditched other 3rd party launchers and use Samsung themes) and it did everything I wanted on Nougat...Samsung's implementation of OREO is a PITA tho. Hoping with enough complaints that they add back 'Message Notifications' in 8.1 / Samsung Experience 9.0.1.
(Yeah, I've used Textra before -- still a great app as well Pulse, Mood, and with Android Messages moving to RCS - it's a good (yes still simple) messaging app too.)

Samsung have removed this option on the S8 OREO & S9. The best way I have found is to install Textra SMS.
This is fully customisable...
hope this helps, Freddie
