Wasn't able to install this using CM's own recovery. I got the E: footer is wrong and E: signature verification failed-errors with r216. Any ideas what I can try?

Installed Latest SaberMod to CM12 and Run Out of SDCARD
Hi,
Yesterday I've Installed Franco Kernel and it messed up something with the Display Colors and delete the root from my phone.
then I installed the Sabermod which was the one that states CM Compatible [Even in a Test Stage].
Now I have no Internal Space, I've plugged phone and it doesn't allow me to apply any changes.
do i need to flash stock lollipop image to get my sdcard back and then root and get cm again?

otgcontrol.sh
I wonder if there is a typo at otgcontrol.sh
Shouldn't it be:
Code:
echo "0" > [COLOR="Red"]/[/COLOR]sys/module/msm_otg/parameters/otg_hack_enable
?

USB DAC
I've tried to use USB DAC with 216.2 kernel on both 5.0.1 original ROM and on xenonhd from 02-18-15, without success.
I'm using powered OTG cable with generic USB DAC. This configuration worked using CM11 and previous versions of Franco kernel. OTG is enabled using Synapse. /sys/module/msm_otg/parameters/otg_hack_enable contains 1, And I mound USB mass storage device successfully. USB Host Diagnostics can't find my DAC either.

USB Keyboard
Hi there,
first of all thanks for this kernel! I like using franco.kernel with CM12 and feel like it really helps my battery life.
I'd be really fantastic though if with this kernel I could also use my phone as an USB HID device to the PC entering passwords from Keepass2Android and such. From what I've seen there's the app USB Keyboard which refers to the Hells Doctor #Numeriks / T.A.R.D.I.S. MOD kernel for the Nexus 4. The associated patch seems to be this one. It basically adds /dev/hidg0 and /dev/hidg1 for keyboard and mouse.
Would you be willing to include this patch as well? I'd really greatly appreciate it as I like your kernel!
TIA!
Lars

Trouble installing v3 on Nexus4
Tried installing Quanta (v3) on my CM12.1 Nexus 4 and got following errors
footer is wrong
signature verification failed
I'm using CM12's recovery. Anyway to install the kernel with this?
Should I use CWM/TWRP? (also this might sound like a noob question, but do I need to reinstall CWM/TWRP to get out of CM recovery?)

Mako Cm 12.1 - looking for kernel
I've been looking for the right custom kernel to install on my nexus 4 running CM 12.1. I used to run FK with another phone running cm 10. When I tried to flash ROM to CM11, the phone freaked out and ever since I've been too scared to try anything to do with custom kernel or updating ROM.
Right now I have a nexus 4, freshly rooted and CM12.1 installed. I saw many names of kernels like Hybrid and CodeBlue but Quanta seems like a good one to go for...
Am I on the right track? Could someone point me to where I can download the right kernel which won't mess up the phone? Thank you.

Yeah, this guide will work on 4.3 cm10.2 and any 4.0+ rom( only difference is the priv-app folder). The reason of your issue may be because the device your porting from. I here alot of people port gs3 roms using the nexus 4. Try using the nexus 4.
And remember to use stable roms. Roms that are like in alpha stage my not be able to port saying some apps, permission, etc still relies on unneeded libs.
thank you.I will be try.You are maked a very good work. Thanks again.

Installing MIUI as 2nd rom on multirom
Hey guys, if you have imei and signal lost problem when installing miui as 2nd rom on multirom maybe you can try my solution.
First, downgrade multirom. In my case, I flashed version 29.
Reflash your miui to 2nd rom as ussual. I did clean install (delete rom then add rom)
Then if the problem still exist, try to downgrade your TWRP multirom before flash your miui rom. In my case, I flashed version 2.8.1.
If everything is normal again, you can reflash multirom and TWRP to the latest version.
I think imei and signal lost was cause by new multirom. I had the same problem when I tried to update my miui with multirom v31 and TWRP 2.8.5 installed. CMIIW

My primary rom is lollipop with lollipop radio also. I didn't flash radio to 2nd rom (miui) and i didn't find any problem with signal. But you can try to flash kitkat radio to 2nd rom with twrp multirom if you have problem with signal.
Great News!
That sounds great!
Super su problem.
First of all, thank you for your work. MIUI V6 looks very awesome!!
I usually use Super Su to get root access.
In any version of miui except this, there was no problem about it.
But in this rom, if I flash the Super su or download it from PlayStore, neither of them work.
Original miui root permission in app 'security' works well.
But super su doesn't.
Any other solutions??

You don't have to flash stock firmware from Samsung. Just make a full wipe in recovery.
I recommended to use twpr because gapps won't install most of the time with cmw.

Hi guys,
this rom is awesome,
the only bug that i found is the service Exchange crash, I cannot syncronize my mail.
And when talking on mobile can't use the volume Keys for increase/decrease volume because it will increase/decrease only ringtone.
how to fix?
Thank you
In my example, as I will call to someone I have a black screen. And do not hang up or anything. And so it is flying all signals, then the post and did so until take out the batteries. Unless, someone knows where is the option of setting the "power button" as a button to end conversation?

[ROM] [DISCUSSION] Official Mokee Rom Releases [6.0.1] [GT-I9100]

First I want to say I didn't build this rom, or have anything to do with Mokee Open Source. Any bug reports or feature requests should be directed to Mokee developers.
I only started this thread to provide a link to the roms, as they are not available on xda until now, and a lot of users may not be aware they are still around.
Personally I have found this rom to be very stable, with some nice features.

Recommended Gapps
Open Gapps
Warning(particularly for MM builds): If you try to flash gapps, you will probably find it won't fit on the stock /system partition. In this case you will need to repatition - Repartitioning guide.
Make sure you choose a pit file that increases /system and not just /data(eg, I91001GB_4GB.pit)
Alternatively use Lanchon's re-pitting tool if you want to avoid losing your data
If you want to donate to Mokee and make their life a bit easier(donations will go towards bandwidth etc),
you can donate HERE
Instructions
1. Wipe data/factory reset(from KK compatible recovery)
2. Format /system
3. Flash rom
4. Flash gapps(optional)
5. Flash isorec recovery(for MM, see below), you only need to do this once
6. Reboot

- OmniRoms
Note: Now that Marshmallow(6.x.x) has been released, a warning for anyone flashing these latest nightlies. The kernel(isorec CM kernel) comes bundled with CM recovery, which is more or less useless. If you want a working recovery, you will need to flash the rom, followed by gapps(if you want play store), followed by an isorec recovery from HERE
Be sure to flash either CWM or TWRP for i9100. It is obvious from the name of the file.
And read about Isorec if you are not sure.
Thank you to @Troubadour666 for the Youtube review
Thank you @noppy22 for starting this thread. I had been downloading the ROM from G+ but the added benefit of a thread here on xda means that you have fellow S2 users to discuss problems etc with. Thank you again mate.

I've only run it with stock kernel. The only thing I changed(with Kernel Audiutor) was i/o scheduler to row. I suspect any cm12.1 compatible kernel will work. I might give one of Lanchons trim kernels a go in the next day or so
Edit: I tried the last trim/twrp kernel and got bootloop on 160102 build....

Well, no. The reports of freezing with his last release stopped me from trying that. BTW the GeneSys kernel(.tar) that was released is the same as the kernel in DU 9.8, but for me the DragonKernel I tried is the last "AOSP" kernel I found to be stable

It's basically Cyanogen 12.1 with a couple of extra features like wakelock blocker. My own opinion, I think it is a lot smoother than stock Cyanogen.
To correct my earlier post. I reflashed the Rom and flashed xposed during the flash process and it flashed without any problems.

hey, I recently flashed CM13 and the gapps (and SuperSU for some reasons), Do I need to do a dirty flash before flashing blu_spark's kernel? Thanks

Thank you
If somebody has Blu_spark's version of twrp, could you please share it. Official twrp seems to not support encrypted backups if data and cache are formatted to f2fs. Thanks.
Edit: Not required anymore. Data and cache wipe resolved the issue so it definitely was something else causing the issue. The backup got stuck at 99℅ each time and cancelling it gave error 'createTarFork() process ended with ERROR=255'.
Anyone have compared bluspark witk boeeffla kernel ? Which one is better ?

it depends, boeeffla is only for OOS, bluspark can work also on CM.
If you want OC and change more HW settings then boeeffla, Boeffla Config - profiles , etc. http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/profiles-boeffla-kernel-profiles-t3330187
