Hi guys
A few days ago, I bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900F model)
Now I would like to root this device
Is there any way to do this without increasing the KNOX counter?
Or should I wait for the Lollipop update?

but I want to keep KitKat for the moment if possible
Try this app. https://towelroot.com/
On older KitKat root works.

flash the ANE2 kernel with odin3, root your device with towelroot, flash the ANG2 kernel again aaand done, your device is now rooted with knox 0x0!
thx I just love you <3
This has already been discussed and there are specific topics/guides showing exactly how to do this. There was no need to be lazy and create another topic so you could be spoon fed. We have a search button and google for a reason.
it worked but it shows custom binary
can I change it ?

Hi all, I just got my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and it's N900 Exynos version. I was wondering how to root my phone in the safest way possible. I read some thread in the forum and they say that the N900 Exynos doesn't have KNOX, but in my phone there's a KNOX app. Will the KNOX not triggered if I root my phone with CF Root? Or is there another way?
Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks before

When I go to Download mode/Odin Mode I got:
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N900
CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
Does this mean I don't have KNOX and it's safe to root using CF Root?

i'm sorry, i want to ask something.
how to root galaxy s4 without tripped knox?
i'm use s4 i9500 I9500DXUEMJ5
thanks for reply
Root
You can't root your phone I9500DXUEMJ5 without tripped knox.
In fact, there is only one solution : use Kingo root app.
But... XDA does not approve this app because it seems send data to China when you try to root your phone with this tool.
Sorry for my english, I hope you understand what I wanted to say.

Root S4
For people who want to root, no need to say more (if no problem with knox flag) because like it was said before : CF-Auto-Root is the best tool.
I want to root my samsung galaxy s4 i9500 on android 4.3 (mk9) WITHOUT TRIGGERING KNOX AND WARRENTY BIT......just need root, cwm is not that important just want to keep knox and warranty bit as zero earlier I usedkingoapp but now it is not supported
After having my original non-knox s4 replaced under warranty, ive now been given a mk9 4.3 i9505 and in the same situation.
Can anyone confirm if its possible to root without triggering knox?

Thanks mate, gosh i didnt think to look into other i9505 sections. XDA information seems somewhat all over the place sometimes. I can confirm its working. Running root without any KNOX triggers.

Hi all
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question (please refrain from flaming if it isn't) but my question is:
I've rooted (which tripped Knox), and there are a few images that I'd stored in Knox that I want to retrieve. Is there a way for me to get the images now that I am unable to get into Knox?
Thanks in advance,
Nate

No. If you used even 30 seconds to try search an answer to your question, you'd figured it out.
Congratulations in achieving 0X1!!!

Unfortunately, all Knox apps are bound to e-fuse, which is "burned" now.
Best disable now all Knox processes in the shell.
Forget the pics, pity

Well, I used Cf-auto root. I would have used towelroot but unfortunately this uses the Exynos chip (SM-N900) and if there was another way of rooting without tripping Knox I wasn't aware of it

I have had a brief look around the forum and Google and have found ways to reset the Knox counter but it involves wiping the rom (downgrading, etc) and losing root which I'm not inclined to do. I'll be patient and wait and see if there is a method that comes about that would let me reset it without losing root.
Thanks for all the advice
