Hey I recently tried out Goldie's AllianceRom for the S5 and it had lockscreen rotation enabled. But I decided to go back to stock rooted NK2 with Xposed. Is there a module out there or a tweak that can enable rotation on a stock lockscreen, or does that require framework modificaiton? I tried with Wanam and the option there, but that doesn't work.

You can do this with gravitybox.

Hmm, ok. I thought Gravity Box was for AOSP, not Touchwiz.

I did too, was extremely confused why people kept using it even though it suggested against it, most of the mods work though. As with everything be careful.

Working good for me. I use the module specifically for the at&t S4, and have completely customized my status and notification bar.

Nottach will change colors. It is all i use. The trick is to only soft reboot for them to stick. If you have to do a full reboot later and lose the changes, open the xposed installer after the reboot and soft reboot to get the changes back.

does this work on stock and will this one allow to change DPi
I'm experiencing battery drain (device idle at around 40%, using more battery than the screen) after installing xposed, anyone else having this issue?
I cannot get GravityBox 2.9.2 (haven't tried other versions yet) to work on rooted stock 4.2.2. I've seen several posts about users having successfully activated GravityBox, but it seems like most of them are on custom ROMs.
When I try to open GravityBox settings, it just says that the system framework not responding. Other modules I have are working just fine.
Anyone have this issue and found a solution yet?
Gravity box is working fine for me on rooted stock 11a vzw g2. Other modules are working fine also.

Yep I did all of that. Still same issue.
Since we now have root access, has anyone found how to enable wifi hotspot? Right now I'm using xposed with moto tether. I already added the wifi hotspot notification button to the quick access panel.

Hasn't this done by removing the tether provisioning checks in the custom ROMs?
I'm not running a custom rom. I'm staying with the stock rom. Do you know what to change to hack the entitlement

Yes, I downgraded to install towelroot and then upgraded back to NI2 kernel.

This should do the trick. Flash this in SafeStrap. I pulled it from my ROM.

Sorry if this has been explained, but what's the advantage of modifying the framework vs using the xposed module?

Other than not having to use xposed probably none.

Thanks. I've always wondered if there was any advantage. I don't use safestrap or custom roms since a combination of wanam and xposed pretty much gets me what I need.

I'm the oposite, I like to mod the apps and don't like xposed. Nothing personal against it but I always seem to run into problems with xposed.
Thanks. I'll give it a try. I'll Uninstaller xposed then install safestrap and install the zip.

You will need busybox to install safestrap. The files are here under How to Root NI2... and in the root.zip file for easy access. You should be ok with xposed installed.
EDIT: Here is the root.zip
Works like a charm. Thanks for your help. Now I don't have to use xposed.

I have this mod downloaded. Do I just flash the "framework-res.apk" in Odin (I have busybox and safestrap still) to get this to work, without Xposed?

Don't unzip the file just flash it in safestrap. Copy it to your extSD or wherever you can find it and select it with the install button and flash. It will install itself.
So I stayed away from Lollipop due to silent mode being gone. Finally updated and sure enough hate the sounds modes. I saw there was an exposed module to bring back KitKat silent mode.
Been doing tons of research on this forum and other websites and can't find a clear answer. Does exposed work on the Verizon S5 on Lollipop?
Some sites say at first it didn't but it was then updated..then other sites say even the update won't work on touchwiz ROMS? Idk if that just means stock VZW ROMS or even custom touchwiz ROMS?? Very confusing
If anyone knows please let me know. Also if it WILL work are there instructions for this phone specifically. Any Xposed instructions I find mention booting to a customer recovery...and then I remembered hearing that safestrap doesn't work on Lollipop so idk

I've done many clean install of kitkat previously.. Every time I switch roms so I know my phone is always running the best it can. Did the same when installing lollipop last night..full charge over night and man is this battery life bad compared to kit kat..didn't use my phone much this morning and just used it for an hour or so now and I'm at 60%

Xposed afaik currently unofficially works with certain deodexed touchwiz roms
i'm using this version of xposed and it works fine. You do need to use FlashFire to flash the zip though give it a try just install the app then flash the zip.

Yes. Samsung has done some of their own tinkering with ART on lollipop which makes Xposed cause a bootloop. The unofficial version only works on Deodexed versions.
@aholeinthewor1d
If you want to use Xposed on TW Lollipop, you can use this ROM. Then you can go here to install Xposed.
Also, Safestrap DOES work on Lollipop, you just have to use a KitKat kernel to access it. This app/thread makes accessing Safestrap on Lollipop extremely easy. No need for a computer.
I have Galaxy tab A (SM-T355) 8' 16 GB with rooted stock rom (touchwiz Android 6.0). I want to flash xposed framework. Obviously I installed an unofficial xposed on XDA used for rooted stock touchwiz.
I flashed that and my tablet ended up bootlooping to recovery. Tried to use the nanobackup and it didint work, wiped out the whole system and restored back and still didnt work.
I had no choice but to restore stock firmware and re-root the device.
Is there any framework that wont cause bootloops and support this device? Or prehaps do I need to modify my system?
Thanks.

Did you use arter97's xposed? https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463 I believe there is another framework for touchwiz as well.
