I don't think there is a Pure version of the Moto G 2nd gen, there only was of the 1st gen, either way it would have specified and stated that it was a Pure edition, if it didn't then it won't be.

This seems to be the same SOAK test number 3 of the Brazilian retail - that's kind of great.
I'm using it on my Maxx (BR), it's sometimes very sluggish, but overall it's pretty good!
Please share with us your opinions :}
My only complaint is the UI sometimes - rarely but still - locks for a few seconds, them it's very fast again.
No other bugs noticed.
Very nice, hopefully someone posts the OTA soon. It would be a single upgrade instead of 3 upgrades using the Brazil soak files.
Is the same build from Mexico, maybe is the Mexican ota

Are the radio functionality between Moto Turbo and Moto Maxx identical? The same LTE bands, etc. etc.?
I know the hardware is identical, but sometimes, there are minor differences in firmware.
I saw his profile from this guy and he is from Mexico, this is the Mexican ota, but maybe the problem is that he doesn't know how to locate the downloaded file and upload for us.
We just need to wait

EXACTLY THE SAME. Well, according to the Motorola India specs, the Turbo has MORE HSPA and LTE bands... See specs below.
Except Motorola finally admits the XT1225 has LTE band 5. But we already knew that. They left that off the "official" specs for the Moto Maxx, even though it was there in the FCC tests. I found it was still enabled with modem scanning software. Now Motorola is "officially" listing it for the Moto Turbo. No REAL difference between the two for LTE.

BUT, the Moto Turbo lists some additional HSPA bands. Those also may already be in enabled in Moto Maxx, also, just not officially listed? Earlier some people were asking about HSPA band IV (1700), for T-mobile HSPA and I couldn't give them a definite answer. But the Turbo definitely lists it, as well as HSPA 800.

I can also confirm band 5 LTE works as my provider uses band 4 and band 5 in my area for LTE. There is no band 4 coverage in my basement at all. Only phones that can receive band 5 give LTE coverage and the Maxx does(same as my Moto X phones).

I've edited my previous reply to also show the extra HSPA bands the Moto Turbo lists. Whether those are also there on the Moto Maxx, I don't know. My QPST modem scans were inconclusive for 2G/3G. I used QXMD for LTE.
On my MAXX, I found one of the the extra UMTS/HSPA 1700 Motorola now admits to in the Turbo... but my scan didn't show the 900 that was supposed to be there. So, when T-mobile people got excited and wanted me to vouch that 1700 was REALLY there, I couldn't. NOW, I can.
Now Moto Turbo ALSO has UMTS/HSPA 800 added. Is that something really new, or is it like the Maxx LTE band 5 -- really there all the time?
Point is, flashing to Moto Turbo can't hurt and can only help, if you want more HSPA bands.

ChazzMatt - I can 100% confirm the Moto Maxx includes the AWS HSPA 1700 MHz band. There are two providers that use that band where I am located and the Maxx communicates just fine with both. Just in case there was any doubt.
btw, it is possible the Turbo has slightly different radio hardware. I wonder if they are marked with an FCC ID at all.
Does anyone know why I still don't have the update?
I just says that my system is up to date.

THANK YOU!
If we can get a good picture of the Moto Turbo box, we'll know if it has the FCC. The outside of the box will have THIS:
These are pictures of my two Moto Maxx boxes side by side. While only the Puerto Rico (U.S. territory) LEGALLY needs the FCC ID, it was also on the Mexico Moto Maxx box.

Hi guys...
my moto g LTE (XT1039) had a super hard brick (some contacts completely gone thru physical damage) and I just received my brand new moto g LTE 2nd gen today (Thea model). As I am eager to get it rooted etc. (maybe CM in a near future) it would be great to see a sub-forum for the 4G variant of the 2nd gen moto g. What do you think?
I believe you have moto g 2015 there is already a forum and cm for that model

With the Moto E line of phones being popular, and with multiple variants within the line, it can be difficult to tell what ROMs, recoveries, and other items are compatible which device. The model # can be important when determining what resources to use or perhaps more importantly what resources not to use. In the interest of greater clarity here is a list of the different Moto E models #s with brief descriptions. Now up to 12 of them.
It should be noted that in CM ROMS the model # is not reported by the OS (at least for Otus) but removing the bezel reveals a slide out paper tag paper tag (on the opposite side from the SD/SIM) which shows model # IMEI and SN. You can also see the model by booting to bootloader and selecting "Barcodes"

I put it in Dev for good reasons that benefit us all and there is a case to be made for doing so. If the Mods move it in spite of that so be it. Also if you are replying to me as you seemed to be doing (addressing me directly by implication) please use the reply function.
Here is the reasoning behind placing it in Dev:
-------------------
Since the purpose of this thread is to clear up the confusion that abounds in all the Moto E Dev threads and since that confusion could result in wrong items being flashed and damage to devices, there seems to be a strong case for posting it in dev.
It seem like just a list of models but the importance of that list to dev is huge yet it this information is lacking in the dev threads. Also by posting in Dev it will reach more people (those who browse through the Dev threads from the top down instead of searching for keywords).
With the aforementioned in mind, moving it to general would undercut its reach and value to Mot E dev so so could you please tell mewhy the move to general?
-------------------
As I said, If it stays in general so be it. It will still reach most folks (but not all) who it might help. BTW - do you not appreciate that someone bothered to make this list? You are welcome
You can add XT1019 to the First gen Moto E. Its the CDMA variant.

My goodness! Another one? I'll add it to OP. Do you know if that one is US or Global?
Thanks.
US only, to my knowledge.

You're also missing:
Moto E, (2nd Gen), 4G/LTE (CDMA), XT1526 - for Sprint (Sprint Prepaid, Boost, Virgin Mobile), USA
Moto E, (2nd Gen), 4G/LTE (CDMA), XT1528 - for Verizon Prepaid, USA
There may also be a CDMA version for US Cellular but I don't know what the model number is.
Thank you for those additional details. They help make it even clearer how Motorola has the line organized. I'll incorporate them into the original post.
Hello,
I am using my Moto X (XT1049) as a back up phone on AT&T network. Now AT&T will shut down its 3G service in February 2022.
Would I be able to use Moto X on AT&T net work after Feb 2022?
As of now, I can only use voice calls using 3G and I cannot use LTE/4G to make calls which probably due to limited LTE band support on Moto X (XT104) for AT&T. So my guess is that my Moto X would be useless starting Feb 2022.
Any thoughts?

My guess is that it will stop working.
Unless it's a limit of the current software channel it's on?
Do you know which model # it is?
XT1058 was the AT&T model
You can check in bootloader mode with
