Rom Info! (Not a "best rom thread")

Hi! I just sold my LG G2 and bought myself this phone! So i got just a few fast questions for you guys
Is there any AOSP roms like cm/pa/carbon thats stable for our phone?
Is the phone rooted/recovery able?
is there any stock roms worth mentioning? Thinking about battery + stability and ofcourse performance.
I heard OMEGA was a good rom, but it's been a while since i had a samsung device, so any info you have would be great! And if i should look into other roms aswell that you think is intresting(not best).
Hoping for some real good answers! Thank You.

I hope you're informed that whatever you do, you will trip KNOX. KNOX is your warranty, and is irreversible.
Once you passed that dilemma, you should try temasek's CM11 for AOSP. Very good for battery life.
It is recovery-able, provided you know that you will be tripping KNOX.
Stock ROMs? Use the latest 4.4.2 KitKat pre-rooted. Stock meaning on Samsung firmware but is a custom ROM, give X-Note a try, if you're ready for updates every few weeks. Also try Omega or Echoe. But the majority of the community is currently lingering around X-Note as it is the most bloated in awesome tweaks, gets all the updates, all features you'd expect and much more.
Everything I said are for the N9005, so if you have the Exynos version, these ROMs won't work, you will need to use Exynos ROMs such as Criskelo or TR-ROM.
exynos user here,
Dr. ketan's rom offers many options to customize your note, but it's not for casual user like me.
Criskelo's rom offers more moderate and user friendly customization with nifty interface.
TR-Rom offers easy installation, a little change from stock interface, and great performance. my choice for now.

Kitkat rom? Any survivor?

My question is simple.
Is there any kitkat cyanogen-based rom?
I searched for Mahdi goodness but can't find anything on androidfilehost.
Same story for other roms. :crying:
Someone has a link to a good kitkat rom?
Thanks!

I've previously visited that link.
This is not the answer.
As you can see all links to the roms are dead. The download ones I mean.
For example the liquidsmooth site is dead and the mahdi cannot be found.
I personally think SlimKat is a winner, very nice performance and battery life (the best non-stock if you ask me): http://slimroms.net/index.php/downl...17982-slim-d802-4-4-4-build-9-0-official-8288
I have never tried this one but give it a spin: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719020

@sys01
OMG Mahdi? You rock mate!
Thanks a lot! Flash it now!
I don't like so much the CM. It is basic. No personalization and stuff. Definitely I like more other roms.
Grazie mille, non sai quanto ho cercato quella rom! La flasho subito!
Sapevo che la CM tiene tutte le release ma non mi è mai piaciuta liscia e per questo la lasciavo come ultima speranza. Grazie ancora!
Cyanogen based KitKat roms aren't all that good on this device. They have extremely poor battery life and a terrible interface. Marshmallow or Lollipop with servicely is my preference.

Hello g4 users

Hello my fellow g4 users i hace just baught g4 plus so i am not aware of all the custom roms here on g4 community so if someone could fill me in about these roms it would be very helpful
Go to the development section and take a look. They're all based on cm13, all of them got the same cm13 quirks and their own features and problems. Try one and see if you like it, or don't, since stock is almost perfect in any way, perfect, xposed stock is unbeatable.
Thanx for ur reply brother
Isn't VANIR AOSP not cm?

Yeap, Resurrection Remix N (R3.1) or Nick's Cyanogenmod.
Any non costumized ROM
Hello, is there any ROM only without bloatware, prerooted and stable? The thing is, most of custom ROMs always has some wi-fi bug, bluetooth, whatever... besides some are meant to look like S8 or other changes in the theme... that's my personal/business day to day phone, I'm a little bit old now to make experiences with different ROM, in the past it sounds good to have a phone all costumized, I had time to reinstall original ROM when it bricks, I still remember my first phone Motorola C650, oh that was a fight to get space to store one complete MP3 song, now I just want/need performance and stability, I know this forum is supposed to people help each other with bugs, improvements, sorry if I'm being selfish. Thanks in advance.

you should go for light stock rom V1.1, maybe change the kernel in it to Hades kernel or something to make it little more smooth

What is best rom(performance wise) ?

Hi!
I am looking for the best stock rom, mod, custom rom performance wise, what tops out the benchmark scores of other roms. I know that benchmarks do not tell much, but I want the best rom(performance wise) what is out there now.
Your opinion is the most important!
Thank you.
Edit: I am also waiting for a performance kernel to release (hopefully)

Resurrection Remix, Omni Rom, AOSPA, Lineage OS 13.x/14.x. All these rom perform very well. If you prefer performance over functionality flash aospa or slim rom. Both these roms are quite light.
Im getting 30800 on my mod Basic.
AOSPA has best performance and an ultra smooth UI
What performance kernel do you want to release xd? I would have a tactic... You work on your rom, i try to upstream stock kernel to 3.10.107 and you add other options, soo everyone win(i want to learn, having 2(3 with basic esal) kernel, one mine basic 3.10.107 and your 3.10.107+tweaks/etc, logic that noone would use my version xd)
Sper să înțelegi, vreau să încep de undeva și eu Fac eu munca lungă și tu mai adaugi/repari. vrem cpu/gpu oc cu regurări de voltaje.
