hello, actually there are 2 parts:
1. how can I use 2 timers for screen dim and screen off
2. how to have an "ambient" lock screen.
As for the second my idea is as follows:
When screen is off, turn it on using the smart cover settings (without the smart cover)
using very dim settings like ambient clock, or flashes like pulse notifications.
Anyone that can make it work, or tell me how to do it?
Thanks!

Hey guys i like to ask you something .When I'm in a internal place like bedroom where the light is low and need to make a call ithe screen goes black completely (apparently the sensor detects the change) but in the external space when iremoved from the part of the ear the screen activated, but not in the internal room.
I can't choose my keyboard to press the options.backlight settings either got on or off remains the same. Is it possible to hurt the light sensor from the registry and raise prices?
Any suggestion, help is always acceptable.
Thanks for your time.
I don't have this problem on my HD MINI. Do you have a screen protector, that covers the sensors? Have you tried to disable the light sensor and set the the screen brightness to max?

Go to the settings tab in Manila => Menu => All settings => System => Energy => Backlight => Turn off "Automatically change brightness". It's possible these texts ain't correct, 'cause my device is in Dutch
My ATT Galaxy S4 (SGH-1337) screen went dark a couple of months ago. I had not turned the phone on in some time. Two days ago, I turned the phone on and was able to see the screen barely, under the right light.
I was able to get the screen in a very workable condition by following steps below. There is one exception, the camera. It takes good photos but the viewfinder screen is still pretty dark.
1. Under Brightness:
a. Turn automatic brightness off
b. Turn brightness slider to up to brightest level
(the slider bar itself has an issue: turning to highest level actually causes screen to darken , at about 75%, the screen is brightest)
2. In Screen Mode select Dynamic
3. Install "Filter Your Screen" app from Playstore
a. Create filter with all 4 elements (Alpha, Red, Green, Blue) set to highest settings
Any ideas how to fix the camera viewfinder will be appreciated.
Hi,
since 2 months ago, i meet an issue which is kind of boring.
I have the ambiant display with the tap to wake mode ON and the fingerprint sensor activated.
At the begenning of my use, i have not met any issue : ambiant display was functional (i.e written informations on a black screen).
Now, when i wake up the screen with a double tap to wake gesture , informations are stile written but, this time, on a grey flickering/flashing screen (kind of stobe ligh effect). At the moment i touch the fingerprint sensor, it stops to be flashing grey and return to normal black.
Does someone have any idea of this issue? I am hesitating to proceed to a factory reset in order to see if it solves it.
Thanks in advance for your comments.
I have an Huawei Watch 2 with ambient light sensor. Many have watches with this sensor (it controls the screen brightness if you have auto set)
I have noticed that when I wear my watch under my jacket sleeve OR if I cover my watch screen - the screen remains on? Why?
My pixel 2 xl has ambient mode display and ambient light sensor - when it's upside down or in my pocket the screen goes off.
I am trying to work out if the behavior of my watch is working correct, does anyone screen go off when covered? If not are there any ways to achieve this?

Go off if you have not always ON or if you not activate by movement.
If you have ALWAYS ON, then...... it ........ ALWAYS ON
I would like to tell you that it often happens when I pull the S10+ out of my pocket, so the display is not in "stand by" mode, it is not always on display, but it is slightly backlit. Classically, the display is black and shines only AOD. But when I pull it out of my pocket, instead of the classic AOD it shines for hours and even seconds and after them you can see the wallpaper of the locked display and it is slightly backlit. The display itself is dark, but it is slightly backlit and you can see the wallpaper. With the classic AOD, the display is completely black and I have set only hours, minutes, date and battery, and of course, the notification, if any. Does anyone know what it is, whether it can be turned off so that the display does not illuminate the pocket?
I have accidental touch protection on.
As far as I know proximity sensor is only accessible when you are in call, that's why other apps can't access it.
Samsung should remedy this. Because I always change the Always On setting in my pocket. Specifically - Rotation and Brightness Always On.
EDIT: It happens most when I tap wake-up.
