Hello, today I updated my firmware from the polish stock bnl1 build to bnl7 build.
After solving some problems the ROM runs fine now. But it didn't restore my wifi passwords and if I restore the wpa_supplicant.conf from the bnl1 build, wifi won't even turn on. Thr bigger problem is, that it resets my wifi passwords every time I turn wifi off or restart the device. I hope you can help me....
My Device: SM-G900F, Stock ROM, Lollipop BNL7, rooted

Since you have working twrp you can backup your data before flashing and save in another place, and try super clean install factory image.
I meant, before go to download mode and flashing with Odin.. with twrp try format system + wipe dalvik (and format data partition if neccessary) + read log recovery cache if something wrong with your backup.
after clean install wifi still not turn on, try turn on tethering hotspot give a name to your tethering hotspot and give Password. I have same problem with wifi/tethering on Marshmallow before.
Hi guys,
I've got a Samsung Galaxy S4 with this custom rom.
Unfortunately, the wifi connection drops or doesn't even work at all. I downloaded another custom rom, Cyanogenmod 11. For me, this rom also has the same wifi issues. So I followed this tutorial here on XDA to update my modem and bootloader to XXUHOF2. (I also flashed the wifi fix for that bootloader in pda/ap).
The modem and bootloader update worked, according to these screenshots: (See attachments)
But the wifi connection still drops or doesn't even work at all.
Also, the mobile connection and wifi indicator have sometimes got an exclamation mark next to them. (See attachments)
When I go back to stock, the wifi works perfectly. (But I don't want stock because I hate touchwiz).
By the way the mobile data, texting and calling also works fine.
What do I need to do to get the wifi working?
Thanks in advance,
Twitmuck.
Hello XDA users.
Im using a custom rom from ALEXNDR (GPOI2 - lollipop 5.0) for more than 5 months and everything works fine except that i always have to re-enter my wifi password.
I've updated my BL and CP but still no auto connect to my wifi.
wpa_supplicant.conf doesnt want to save my home wifi informations and keeps erasing it everytime i get disconnected from home network.
i tried to change permissions of wpa_supplicant.conf (data/misc/wifi) but it resets after reboot.
i had a WPA password and i decided to change it for a WPA-PSK but still no change.
Do you guys have any ideas on how to solve this ?
Up ! I really need help please !
Hello,
I upgraded to 6.0.1 stock and I have problems with wifi .
When the phone goes sleep lose connection to the network and when switch on do not always recover it.
I tried various settings but have not solved the problem , for now I installed wifi keep alive as a workaround , but I'd like to know if there is a better solution
thank you
Hi guys
Im having a problem with my S5 g900f wif and bluetooth, ican not turn them on.
first time this happened was +/- 1 year ago, i just had to restart my phone and put sim card out and the problem was solved.
I have faced this problem maybe 5 times from the first time but every time the solution worked.
Yesterday the same happened but the solution didnt work anymore.
I have tried with/ without simcard and memory stick.
I decided to change the unrooted stock rom to LineageOS with root. No luck
flashed the original firmware G900FXXU1CQB1 again no luck.
I can not turn wifi and bluetooth on.
Can anyone help to find a solution for this?
is this a hardware problem?
Thanks
I have had this issue, I found custom kernels can cause this and some mods
Make sure your bootloader and modem are upto date if your using other roms.
Other than that it does sound more like a hardware issue.
Hi,
tried stock firmwares , downgraded and tried custom rom/kernels the problem still there....
