Hi all, i was wondering what the actual refresh rate is of the note 4 as it can be used for the VR thingy. And is there any option to check the actual fps because i cant find it in the dev options.

i don t know i was thinking about it lol.
i hope game are not limited by refresh rate because my game are laggy even on low resolution that mean refresh rate is the same
I heard it was 60fps. I read that here on XDA (can't remember where). Someone was trying to use an app to record the screen or something, and they were told to do record at 60fps because that's the same as the Note 4's screen.

I'm unsure what quality YouTube is playing at in default but its much too high for my internet speed at my current location. On my computer I play at 480p which is fine. I have a feeling that the Nexus 7 is trying to play it at 720 or 1080 because it takes forever to load anything.
Anything I can do about this? I couldn't find a setting to change it.
Don't think so. Only way I've been able to get HQ or low quality was to share connection with my phone via Bluetooth. basically any connection that wasn't WiFi.

When playing a YouTube video in landscape view lower left hand corner will give you an idea of the resolution. HD will be in 720p HQ is 480p and if it is unchecked it drops down the next lower resolution. If it is showing HD unchecking it should drop you down to 480p.

Hi,
I'm pretty sure that fellow Note 8 users would have noticed the long shutter time and slower camera when compared to some other phones out there. Anyone knows how to speed it up?

Not with the default camera I think, you can try Fast Burst Camera from the Play store.
just shoot full manual then you can use whatever shutter speed you desire.

Hey I was trying the camera on the note 3 and it won't let me click dual shot button ? It worked before because when I got the phone I tried it also I did the new software update last night maybe that did somthing
Same here. And camera is slowest than my note 2 and even my old s2. One once processing, once not. Both ways is super slow.

I fixed it go into manage app for camera and clear data then it works
I had the same..had to click front camera and set auto..then back camera to auto. It then let me use dual shot!!!

it happens because your video recorder is set in 4k format you need to set a lower resolution and then the camera will allow you to use dual shot function
Hello, I ask if any developer can create twiks or mod to record in slow motion, as is the case for the Galaxy Note 3. Thank you for your hard work
guys but there is no developer who is able to do this mod? from the community would be greatly appreciated ... thanks
Why?
There are many slow motion camera apps in the play store or simply record in 60 fps and convert it to 24 fps.
If you want more you can use after effects of twixtor (or many other apps) to interpolate frames on your pc but that's a too big task for a phone.

perhaps I have not explained well, I require a mod for lg g2 can record in slow motion as it happens for other devices (Samsung Galaxy Note 3, etc..) that mount the snapdragon processor. I do not need the post-production of the movie, but a real camera in slowmotion. I think playing on Build.propr and profiles CameraMedia, it manages to achieve what most users want. thanks

Yessss!!!!
Essentially, he's looking for a camera than can shoot 120fps.
I was wondering the same thing myself. It seems as if the camera/processor are both capable of such a thing, but there's no software support yet.
At least I don't think so.
I'm pretty sure jisnu was working on this mod. I think he said something about 4.4 having a proper software for 120 fps.

You can. When playing back hit the menu key and select play speed. 0.5-1.5X

You can use VLC and select play speed 0.25

I am starting to record my driving every time I get in the car. I'm just using the camera app but I might switch to a dedicated car dash cam app.
My friend was recently hit in the front of her car. It was totally the other guy's fault but he's claiming that she went into his lane, which is utter BS. Anyway, long story short, a lot of our friends are going to start recording our driving, esp since we all have 64gb micro SD cards anyway...may as well put that storage to good use!
I'm really happy with the results of the recorder except one major issue is that the video is really shaky even though I have it attached to a mount on the windshield.
Is there any way to dampen or absorb the vibrations of the car so the recording can be more clear?
Try the video stabilization in camera settings
I tried that, it makes no noticeable difference.

Thanks but that setting records video at 60fps. It doesn't have image stabilization.

I've considered doing this a number of times but the thought of using my phone as a cam while a nice dual use feature, it not really that practical. I am also afraid it would get damaged way too easily for that type of purpose when a second device which is desiged to do it will do it better, be a lot more rugged and capable.
I am getting a Drift Innovation HD Ghost for this purpose. They actually make a much less expensive one that does 720 which is more than enough for dash cam usage, but the HD Ghost has a DVR like mode which records over the same memory device automatically and easily saves an incident with the click of a button for later playback. Still a lot of money, but it would keep the phone being my phone and do a much better job at recording the vehicle in motion.
I tried it and 60fps makes no difference.
