I'm really new to rooting and I bricked my old S5 by my own mistake when trying to root it. I got a new one and I just need some assistance in how to find the information I need to get this phone rooted. I've had a mesmerize and an s4 on cyanogen but for some reason I can't find much on my model. Am I looking in the wrong spot?
I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to post asking for something I could just search for but I'm unsure of bad roots that may brick it again. Is there an official thread for rooting these things or do I just have to look for community roots? Any help would be greatly appreciated
And if there is any cyanogenmod that supports my model that would be helpful. Sorry for the beginner question but I really want to be rooted again.
I just don't want to go through the hard-brick process again so I'm afraid of rooting but as I stated I really want to free this phone. A lot of money and a lot of time spent without a phone.

Hi guys!
So, I plan to get a brand - new Galaxy S i9000, after years of being a WinMob HTC user. Right now I'm just prospecting around and it's pretty unclear for me where to start reading about the root process the Galaxy S needs to receive. So I decided to call for help, if anyone would care to point me in the right direction with any link(s). Just keep in mind I'm not very familiar with the Android and I'll have a not rooted, unlocked Galaxy S to "play" with (and hopefully not to brick).
Thanks in advance!
Read darkstriders sticky. Download odin. Then read some more. You'll need to flash a custom kernel (cfroot) for whichever firmware your phone is currently running. Then you'll be good to go. Steer clear of anything alpha or beta til you've a bit of experience and know how to fix a soft bricked phone.
Hello everyone, this isnt my first time modding my phone as I had messed around a lot with the Galaxy Captivate and S2. I just got the LG G2 and feels like I'm dancing from thread to thread with mixed information on what I should when looking at the frimware sticky on the AT&T forum.
I plan on probably trying the grevious flex rom just to start off.
If someone could help me step by step, I would really appreciate it. Right now my phone is updated to kit kat and my software version is D80020K.
I'm not saying I cant find the info, I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I should do exactly. I would really appreciate any help!

I have a note 3 Telus, It has not been updated its still at 4.3. I want to install the Note 4 Rom Found Here
Could someone please tell me the steps I would have to go through to installing that ROM? Also, If I install that ROM is there a way to revert back to normal and will this void my warranty? I have a warranty with best buy when I bought the phone outright. So will rooting it be detected by them?
Thank you!
I am fairly new to the root process myself and i was able to figure out most of it by searching this forum and reading the stickies. Its not that hard. Try to figure it out by reading and searching. Lots of guides out there.
OP needs AT&T forum .
Hi guys, I really hate to be this guy..
Can someone point me to a THOROUGH thread with details on reflashing my s7? I tried yesterday with the research I found here and almost bricked my phone.
I have an AT&T SM-G930A that I would like to switch to Sprint, so I was hoping to just flash the unlocked Rom and ditch bloatware.
I have Odin 3.13.1, and I found some firmware files I thought would work on a thread here but I either missed a step or... honestly I haven't even touched this stuff since I rooted a phone in high school. Any help/guidance would be greatly appreciated.
**moderators if this is breaking rules posting here I am sorry I am just completely lost**
