The Tablet runs on Intel x86 Baytrail Processor. The Same Processor supports Windows. So technically it should be possible. Some guys here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58082288&postcount=10) explain how to do this on a similar Tablet. I'm not very familliar with bios and uefi and mobile platforms so i don't want to risk briking my tablet by trying this guide. But they provide an Android App which flashes your Tablets Bios to run Windows from an external SD-Card i think. Hopefully someone with more insight in this can explain to us if this is possible
I'd like to find that out too...

The A501 does not run windows! The Windows Iconia is the W500.
The A500 doesn't have an Intel CPU, so there's almost zero chance of anyone getting any version of Windows to run on it in the foreseeable future. The W500 that runs Windows is a completely different piece of hardware from the A500.
Linux might be possible, as there are ARM versions of Ubuntu running on other tablets, but my understanding is it's a fair amount of work to get everything running (and straight Linux or Windows aren't really very good touch-screen operating systems, anyway).
As far as I am aware there is very little difference between the a500 and a501 save for some 3g and sim setups.
What you may want are some of the windows emulator (which are pretty much on the "poor" side of emulators and "windows") or use a remote setup to use your tablet to run the windows on your pc, just dont expect to be playing COD:MW3 with it.
i knew that. idk y i said a501, my bad. i have tryed linux installer from the market but it still wont boot. i must be missing directorys or sumthing. any ideas on an easyer way to install linux or maybe a tutorial one of u could help me with? iv cheked out the "how to install native linux" a few times but it doesnt make sense. any help would be awsome. thanx guys/girls
Hello
I read a thread about Windows RT on the HTC HD2 (link with Pictures: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=35963346&postcount=82)
Is it possible for me, to install it on my HD2?
Does it run beside Windows mobile 6.5?
Is there any tutorial? (i couldn't find any)
I would really like to try - if it is possible. If there is no tutorial, and i dont think it will be possible - for me at least.
I appreciate your help
Best regards
Andreas

The ROM's only a proof of concept as of now, you can't download it and nobody but Cotulla can run it (well at least the one in the pics, if anybody else could port it I'd be very impressed). I wouldn't expect the ROM to be publicly released any time soon, but maybe within the next few months.
Thank you for the reply.
I will look forward to see if it gets released. It looks promising, and i hope the developers will keep up the good Work.
I will just use Ubuntu until then
Best regards

And its an x86 version (Enterprise) and not the ARM version (RT)
You'll need the updated MAGLDR by Cotulla,
but he hasn't released it...
For now, just wait

If you are familiar with linux use this, although it may not help with dualbooting, its best to ask a developer for some help.
Regards
Jack
you can also try this... http://linuxonandroid.org/ it's not dual boot, it's more like a virtual machine... but i can run ubuntu, debian, and backtrack... other flavors are in development as well...
I would like to know, if someone knows how can I install android on this motorola MC65, it has Windows Mobile 6.5, 1ghz single core qualcomm, and 1gb ram. I´m a developer so even a guide to cook my own rom (windows mobile) will work. Thanks

Hi, it has been a while since you posted your question but here I am today, attempting the same transition to Android on a MC65. Any chance your efforts proved successful? Thanks for sharing your tips.

I don't know where you got that idea, but windows 10 only works in processors that support ARM and this device not support this architecture.
