I've just had a wander down Oxford St in London (a famous shopping street in London for those of you that aren't aware) and went in to the local carphonewarehouse. What surprised me was that there was a big section dedicated to Huawei phones yet the mate 7 wasn't there?! It's a shame that probably their best phone to date (imo) isn't being actively pushed in the UK.
Has anyone else seen a working model in a retail outlet in their own country (or the UK)?
Yes, in my country Pakistan all big malls have Huawei retail outlet and mate7 is available along with their other phones.
Mate7 is also available in small stores.

Huawei has started some very aggressive marketing strategies in my country Nigeria. Preordered my mate 7, dual SIM, came with magic case, powerbank and a talkband equipped with a Bluetooth headset.
Really nice and secured phone.

Fellow Nigerian here. Does this phone work with Smile 4G LTE?
in electronic stores here or phone opertors store, The P7 is very common however the Mate 7 is still very rare to see in any physical store, however there is plenty of online stores in sweden which sold in a lot of major online stores.
Re:
Huawei's present here in France. Mobile phones are available in many retail outlets. For warranty issues, there are many repair centers which are officially supported by Huawei, repairing the handset within 40 minutes (if all parts are available, repair is free if the handset is still under warranty)!
Bouygues Telecom has officially launched the 4G+ network and agreements have been made to sell the Huawei Mate 7 through this operator, since it's the only branded phone supporting 4G+ (with the SGS5).
Apart from Bouygues' official shop, I haven't seen the HM7 in a shop. Many French websites are selling it (amazon.fr, rueducommerce, materiel.net etc...)
Even if Huawei is well based in France (R&D, Presence in retail outlets, offices, repair centers), it's still a not-so-well-known company here. Well, more known as PSG's sponsor!
I haven't seen them actively selling or promoting their phones here in The Netherlands. It's Samsung, Sony or Apple in most stores...

I don't have it...
Batch: 2013-08 China (bought in Germany)
My O2 LTE Nexus just got delivered (~5:30pm). Not got it out of the box yet to check it over.
Phil
Mine Arrived on the 11th
Mine was delivered yesterday.
(UK Mail messed up though. I told them not to deliver as I was out, but they still delivered it and left it with my neighbor.)
Very annoying that O2 wont let me have it sent to my work address but UK Mail ignore my request for collect from Depot and deliver it to a different address)
I can confirm that I have a Sim card. Voucher for the 2GB free data (no data expiry length is listed???)
No case. I was told the case would be sent separately by O2
T.
Got mine yesterday from O2 Yesterday still waiting for the cover.
I put my 3 sim card in and its all working fine

I've bought a cheap S-line type cover for the 2013 Nexus 7 from Ebay. I have these on my other tablets and phones and prefer them to the clumsier ones. They just add that bit of extra resilience if the tablet ever gets dropped!
Sound on mine seems fine, and a distinct quality improvement compared to my other tablets.
Mine's now rooted with Adfree and Titanium backup working OK.
I don't want to activate the O2 card until later in the year.
EDIT:
I've just cut down a 3G Orange PAYG SIM, installed the mms.apk from this thread, and I can send and receive SMS OK:

I'm not expert here, but Isn't there only a single ROM for LTE from google?
(if not, can't you get the orignal ROMs from Google?)
That would suggest to me that it's the radio hardware which is different between the us and europe model.
As the radio has to work on different frequencies this would also make sense to me.
(If you do get a US model, don't forget to factor in sales tax which will be required in most states.)

I've chased them and they gave me some BS about the accessories always being sent later from the warehouse...
hopefully it will be with me in a few days.
Now that Clove has announced they won't be selling the LG V20, can I ask if there are any UK owners? What model works in the UK and where did you buy yours from please? Is it worth me buying the V20, or should I look elsewhere? Thanks for your help!

Here asking the same question but as usual not much support for LG phones at xda.
I'm on EE and Vodafone and 4g is absolutely essential for me but not sure which version is best suited for these networks.
I have the F800K ( Korea Telecom ) version and currently using it on O2 , connects to LTE, I'm quite rural so 4G isn't really that much of an option for me. EE seem to be the best bet for band compatibility according to willmyphonework.net ( using V10 ).
Sourced mine pretty early on direct from S.Korea via eBay, bit of premium cost at the time and they've dropped about £100 since then.
I'm looking to buy the Huawei Mate 9, I think I'll have a better chance getting this phone.

where did you get the phone from ? refernce ?
Hello once more !
I think I will be getting the LG G6 after all I am really excited about the device and I want to own it. The only thing remaining right now is to decide whether I go for the UK model or the Korean model (DS).
I have looked into the bands, and see that my carrier (vodafone) is fully supported for LTE. So I am thinking, that if I get it from wondamobile, I would also get a 12 month warranty on the device.
I am trying to compile a list of why I should go for the UK or Korean model and this is what I have come up with:
Korean pros:
- HiDac
- 64 on board
- 12 month seller warranty
- 100 pounds cheaper on wonda
cons:
- more bloatware? (not sure)
- antenna issues with EU? (not sure if there are any, just curious)
UK pros:
- High street seller means better service if things go south
- LG UK support
- 100% compatibility with bands without worries
cons:
- 32 on board storage
- regular DAC
Am I forgetting anything, or are any of my pros/cons stupid? If you had to choose, what would you guys go for and why?
Thanks
ok i would say if you care about the warranty get the UK version if not get the Korean version . not band problems hifi dac, if you want dual sim for no extra and no bloatware
(if you want a video search: Dual Sim LG G6 Korean Version - Detailed Walk Through form Tech Zilla on youtube)
I'd say go for a UK model as your pros make perfect sense and far outweigh your cons. Although I don't consider them cons; the on board 32GB is easily sorted with a SDcard and I doubt the DAC would really make one bit of difference to you in everyday use.
Whatever you decide, good luck and have fun.

BTW I got a G6 on Saturday from Tesco mobile, there's no bloat other than the LG stuff.

Thank you both the reason why I am leaning more towards the Korean version is the price difference. In the Korean walk through video however one of the commenters complains about lots of Korean bloatware
Yep exactly. And as you know, without root you're pretty much stuffed.
And I'd still say go for the UK variant if only for the warranty benefits and suck up the extra cost.
I've now got a V20 H990ds Taiwan variant (it was never released in the UK / Europe) so have no recourse to warranty of any kind, but that was a decision I spent a lot of time considering. So I'll be ultra careful with it and hope nothing goes wrong.
This one was unlocked and network free so there's no carrier bloat, and only a little bit of LG crap which I can live with.

That is true, but I have seen it be a pattern with LG phones in particular.
It already goes for 599 on Vodafone payG. A week more and I am pretty confident I will be getting new or as new on ebay for around 500
Mine cost £562 from Tesco.
There's some ridiculously priced ones on eBay, I often wonder what some sellers are thinking. If I can see their prices are way above what others are asking surely they can see it too.
Anyway if you do get a G6 don't forget to post your thoughts.

Is there a special deals page I missed? Can't find one for that price!
Ah. I've just checked their site, the sim free price for the handset is £629.
Iv'e been with Tesco Mobile for several years, that's the price I'm paying which is then split into 24 months (interest free).
I got my H870ds from wonda mobile and it comes with no bloat. The only con is no support for WiFi calling if you plan on using it.
Without a doubt, at least for me, the 64gb storage was the the thing I wanted and an sd card while useful doesn't help if you plan on installing a lot of apps. The hifi DAC is an additional sweetener but if I'm being honest I can't notice a difference with the headphones that I use ( sennheiser momentum in ears)

I was tempted to buy a H870DS myself, but the lack of any meaningful warranty really puts me off. The prices are starting to reflect real world value on eBay at the minute, it won't be long before they are under £500 on a regular basis.
SD can help for apps -- partition it so I chunk is used for Adopted Storage (able to install apps), the rest being mounted as normal external storage. There's a link in one of the threads here, an app that is pretty painless to use.

Yes it can be done but adoptable storage is far from ideal... Lots of cons and definitely nowhere near as good as having a larger internal storage.
Sent from my LG-H870DS using Tapatalk
No disagreement there I use it for things that are in the want-onboard-but-not-often-used category (a fair number of apps in my case). A Class 10 card comes in handy for that.
How many apps are you guys installing? On my 32GB Galaxy S6 I still have 5.4GB free space. Here's my run down;
Images: 2.24GB
Videos: 2.58GB
Audio: 9.13GB
Applications: 1.77GB
I can't see how I'd ever fill the G6, but I've ordered a 64GB Samsung Evo Class 10 card that I'll use for Images, Audio & Video. Unless the LG system takes up more than 20GB there's no way I'd ever fill it.

My brother bought his LG G3 from there and used it for 4 years without any issues. He bought his LG G5 recently (around the same time I got my S7 edge) and he has no issues with his device whatsoever.
All these devices from souq.com
The site is good as long as you buy from a good dealer. Since anyone can setup a shop on the site, there might be some people trying to sell bad stuff. Just buy from the trusted dealers and you'll be fine.
I don't think Samsung issues international warranty. My home appliances are Samsung branded which doesn't have and one more using the firmware of UAE Volte will definitely not work unless you flash indian package on your mobile that's why I said no.

Where did you purchase it from? With the reports of the screen issues in some phones im hesitant to order from another country in case OnePlus have an issues with warranties with phones from different regions

can you tell me exactly what you did to accomplish this bro? Like step-by-step. I'm assuming you went to oneplus.com/cn and used Google translate to navigate through? And it'll allow you to ship to United States?

No. He most likely purchased it on a site like Wonda Mobile dot com or Trading Shenzhen dot com.

I have bought foreign phones before and have always found ways to enable/disable bands as needed.. The Snapdragon is very versatile. I'm hoping that installing the international oxygen OS rom will configure the bands. When I get the device I will thoroughly test every band and let you know how I get on.

I still have DFS tools installed on my desktop. The last time I went down this route I ended up enabling every band there was.. naughty but fun.

Haha your post cracks me up, mate. Did you ever get the band unlocked? I'm torn between waiting four more days until it's available in the US, or getting it off of Wonda.
Perhaps you can help me decide. When the phone arrived, did it look brand-spanking-new? Or were there fingerprints all over it? After all, they had to manually flash the international version of OOS I'm assuming? and did it come in original packaging? Or do they just take the components out and just stick it in a random box?

Careful the Chinese version is missing a few of the bands we use here. Think o2 is fine but the rest need band 32 I think for lte advance so you may get slower 4g speeds if on Three voda ee or their mvno's.
Maybe you can unlock bands. Wonda mobile a great trustworthy store
I'm in Canada and bought a pro 256gb from Alibaba for about 1240 CAD all in. Flashed with global ROM.
Very risky for general user but I've been buying equipment and components for my company from Alibaba for years now. I personally have never had an issue (with fraud anyways)

Well, just setting up my Chinese black OP8 and all seems well. VoWIFI, VoLTE, everything working beautifully. I've got a
12 GB model for less than the 8GB model. Happy bunny.

The seal on the box was broken to upgrade the firmware but the device was still wrapped in its protective film. I'm currently on band 20 VoLTE and the device is identifying itself as the international version. I suspect the relevant bands were enabled/disabled with the ROM change.

Wonda mobile.
Question for those using chinese version in USA.
How is it working?
I want the green 256GB version and dual Sim. So going down this route might be my best option.
Only problem I see is if I have a screen issue, will be harder to return.
What do you guys think? Thanks for the replies.
I have used Wonda Mobile and returned a mobile with no issues, you pay for shipping if you change your mind with a fee but if it's faulty they will reimburse you.
I have ordered many times from Wonda Mobile, can't rate them high enough. My 8 Pro was shipped on Monday and I had it by Saturday, 12/256gb £100 cheaper......:good:
