The original leaked said z1c at March but there is also some other rumors said z1c will receive it faster now. There isn't any real official schedule yet so actually we have to wait..... I think Sony will tell in the very beginning of 2015.

Just spoken to Sony and the word on this leak is
Not from Sony as there is no planned date for any rollout yet
And when I asked if the ota would be timed round release of the z4.

Hard to believe. Thanks to the rapid release cycle those phones are not THAT different. I'm not a developer or anything but with Sony's very light skinning this should really go faster.

As you said there is not that much of a difference between Sony's series, so by updating the new ones faster than the older as z1 or z2 they ate just trying to sell more z3 and z4

I always felt like my old xperia Z was faster then my galaxy s4
Haven't tried a note 3 but I'm sure the Z1 beats it too. Touchwiz is just bloated with useless apps (for me) making it slower
Too bad sony is a lot more complex to root and stuff, Samsung is made for rooting, easy as pie.

as peeps say don't put to much trust in benchmarks tests. but that does look a tad low try a factory reset or if that doesent make a differance sony pc companion or update service and try repair. hit thanks if this helps. regards

I don't know what it is. Like we didn't have munch infomation about T2 Ultra and E1 until it releases, like this mystery phone.
Everything new about xperia, or rumor news are also come from digi-woo.

According to a Sony Representative, he said that our phone [ Xperia SP ] won't be receiving the much awaited "KitKat" Update

That was weeks ago. It's still listed under investigation, so honestly, I wouldn't put too much weight on this post. That was almost 2 months ago and no official word. Yes, that person later said that he/she got "confirmation", but from who? If it were true, the websites would be updated.
We'd all be best to stop speculation and rumors to wait until Sony's press officially says something through their proper channels, not an AMA on some random site.

Sony consistently disappoints with its camera performance. Check all the z series forums and you'll see plenty of disappointed users. [emoji22]

The X series has not been released yet. It could be released sometime in Q3 of 2016 when NO ONE traditionally buys a new phone, so once again, Sony will release a device under the radar and sales will be minimal.
