As the title states.
I do not believe this issue happened while on stock, though I have had the phone for just two days. I have tried returning to stock but the issue persists.
I installed Paranoid Android 4.6, and while I was able to get LTE upon starting up, as soon as I restarted the phone I was getting no signal. The issue also occurs during the installation of the "Mahdi" rom. I am using the VS980 roms, not a Tmobile rom.
While looking at the "signal" page, the carrier changes from "T-Mobile" to unkown every few seconds, until stopping on "T-Mobile" after a very very long time. I believe I have the correct APN settings because it does eventually connect to T Mobile LTE.
I have tried different modems also. I tried the 24a modem which did not work on anything, and the 11a and 12b modems. My process of installation was wiping dalvik, system, cache, and data. Installed the new modem, installed rom, installed gapps.
Would flashing everything back to stock resolve this issue?

Phone is rooted. Twrp recovery.
I have flashed Franco, stock, matr1x. Kernels and no luck.
The phone was always disconnecting from WiFi after 4.4.3 update. But one day it stopped and I usually restart to fix and nothing. From there, I started to try different Kernels. Nothing has worked.
I resorted to factory restore. And I did it twice. Nothing.
Weird thing is when I factory restored, my pictures were still there. Yes, I'm 100% I did a factory restore.
All my apps were deleted but just my photos were there. Is this some sort of twrp safety feature or something? I'm on stock rom.
It will scan WiFi but will not connect. Some WiFi isn't even shown. My works WiFi is not even listed yet, my house is.
I'm out of my high speed data and I'm now suffering 2g speeds and nightmare battery life from the data. Can someone help me?
On 4.4.4 stock rom rooted with twrp recovery.
Have you try the WIFI Fix?
I have. But I'll try again. So far I'm now 99% sure my WiFi is defective from a hardware point. . Completely flashed fresh stock 4.4.4 and 4.3. And reflashed 4.4.4 and nothing.
First time flashing my buddy talked me into it. I got the alliance rom. Safestrap. Booted into safe strap and installed the rom but I wrote over the existing stock rom file because I didn't install to a new rom slot cause I'm dumb. So I can't restore.
Everything works fine. Except I can't use Internet without WiFi. I have no 4g or mobile data it says I'm offline. I went into the apn and the box was unchecked so I checked it and rebooted. Still nothing. Any ideas? I tried using odin to go back to stock but it says failed every time. Have a flat s5 on att network.
fixed it by manually updating the apn. Google it if you run into a similar issue.
I had been running CM12.1 for about six months now, but during that time I went from having 4G failing to switch to 3G and vice versa to 4G no longer working at all, and considering the CM13 unofficial rom floating around here I decided to give it a shot.
Before then, I wanted to do PRL / Profile update, so I flashed the beloated OD2 rom rather than downloading the 1.4GB official roms. Booted it, yada yada, 4g was working immediately but wifi would not turn on. Strange. I did my prl / profile update, rebooted, wiped system / data again, and installed CM13. Of course, cellular did not work at all, so I tried falling back to 12.1 again thinking a fresh install might restore cellular data. Wrong, this morning my CM12.1 install had working 3G, now nothing is working.
So I go and grab OK3 from sammobile since its the latest and flashing that does not work either. Recovery should have nothing to do with it, but I've been bouncing between latest TWRP and stock recovery from OK3, and of particular note all the stock recovery refuses to flash any stock roms, as does heimdall. Only way to flash any of these roms reliably is with TWRP at the moment.
So pretty much the issue is that cdma works on stock and wifi works on CM, but I kind of need both working on either rom to actually use my phone, and I'll take either at this point. I mean, why in the world does wifi work in Cyanogenmod but I cannot turn it on on any version of stock?
Unrelated, but I got this strange bug where the bootloader is insta-powering off the first time I do power + volup into recovery, so I have to hold the combo through two power cycles to actually get it to start recovery.
Update: I repeated the process and now have working wifi on OK3. So thats a thing. Now I'm just hoping CM13 will work with Freedompop one day so I can merge my data + sd card and finally install some apps on my phone.
I have a LG G2 Verizon Factory Unlocked VS980.... For service I have Straight Talk on a Verizon CDMA BYOD sim. It worked great stock. I never had a problem at all. 4G LTE all night and day, as soon as i put the sim in for the first time and turned it on the first time. Well i then used iroot, and AutoRec to flash TWRP. Stock it was on 24a 4.2.2. I like KitKat more then LP alot so I didnt really want to go to LP. I first Flashed a VS980 boot variant mod CM11 and it worked great. It kept my Data straight through the Flash. It held data for weeks no problem. Well at home I use WIFI and dont every try Data so one day I have no idea Data quit working until i went out, All mobile Data just quit working and i cant even use GPS, only calls and Text, no MMS either. I came home, searched up some APNs and edited it and it came back instantly. I thought that was pretty easy. Then I wanted to test the xdabbeb 2.3.0 because i liked the stock LG KK more then a CM Rom. Data again held through the Flash and for about the same time, 2 weeks, then suddenly one day i go out, goto pull up my broswer for internet and NO DATA. So I went home and couldnt edit a APN on this ROM, Every time i set it to the APN i found i hit SAVE and it just vanished, about 30 times i typed it in over and over. So I factory reset, didnt work, Flashed to 39A and tried LP Roms, Didnt work, Changed APNs on LP roms, Didnt work. Wiped it clean, flashed BACK to Stock 26a via KDZ, Didnt work. Changed APNs on stock, and wouldnt save again like before, It would save until i changed a certian field in the APN. So i went back to CM11 and set the APN, different APNs, Variations, still wouldnt work, So I went back to 28a Baseband, and flashed Xdabbebs KK rom again and again didnt work, but I loaded a Nandroid backup of that rom from the very first time i flashed it when it did work, and that brought my data back! So i sailed smooth on it for about about a week and BOOM, gone again!! I goto the Mobile Network settings and it shows 4G and 1X almost full signals, and LTE on the status bar still, when last time it didnt show LTE or the 4G's.
So, Im going to load this Nandroid again i suppose and see how it works, But what could be the problem? What is Changing settings wise or whatever and how? I am confused as hell on this! Can someone please help me out? I hate resetting my phone all the time, and dont want to make sure i have an OTG and my flash drive with me at all times and all my .apk's on my incase i need a weekly emergency Nandroid restore.
Ok, I think I'm in a deeper trouble than usual.
I've made a nandroid backup like usual and flashed the latest Dirty Unicorns ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nex...-dirty-unicorns-v10-0-official-6-0-1-t3326798). It didn't work as well as I had hoped - was getting force-closes on practically everything. So I wanted to restore the backup. It restored, but didn't load. Odd, so I thought let's restart the phone. So I did, but the phone just kept sitting on the DU logo and not load at all. Ok, so let's clear both Dalvik and Cache. Still doesn't boot, just sits on the logo. Ok, let's factory-reset the phone, re-download, re-install the ROM, clear everything and try again - still the same, never boots. Ok, super weird by now, never happened to me before. Already took out the trusty old Nexus 5 as the backup, as things are getting more complicated.
So I tried flashing two other ROMs (CM13 and Exodus), but the same thing happens - it just sits on the respective ROM's logo. Can anyone tell me what's happening? I'm including a pic of my bootloader. Looking at the BL and Baseband values, they looks different - are they supposed to be the same?
Might be worth going back to the latest stock build to get all your firmware in order then flash a different rom afterwards.
Ok, don't know why or how it happened, but my TWRP version was still on 2.8.x.x, even though I'm sure I flashed the newest one. I flashed the 3.0.2.0 again, but the situation is still the same.

From here sorry: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images#angler
if you get stuck follow Heisenberg's guide step 10 :
10. How To Flash The Factory Images (And Return To Stock)

Yep, all good now. Followed all the steps, loaded stock images, flashed custom recovery, followed by the ROM, all good now. Thanks a bunch!
Was too quick to report success - now my SIM doesn't work. It populates the APNs, says LTE from the quick slide menu, but stays on no signal in the status bar, plus errors out when refreshing web pages, etc.
I've tried flashing different (including the latest) vendor images as well as different radios.
EDIT: never mind; the freaking Mobile Data was turned off (why the **** does it happen?). Turned it back on; all good now.
