I rooted my galaxy s5 active (at&t) and shortly after started receiving "error invalid number" texts. They come in about every 15 minutes. This only started happening after I rooted my phone. I used towelroot the first time, then when that stopped working I flashed my phone back, used it again, then flashed the update. During the time my phone was not rooted i did not receive these messages. Any idea what is happening? Is it the root that did it, or would it have to be something else? Thanks for any help.

So, I was having trouble re-rooting my S5 after the XXU1ANG2 update for the SM-G900F international model as Odin kept throwing out a FAIL to write error every time I tried. After multiple attempts I finally figured out what was wrong with it. In my settings I'd selected the reactiviation lock, so that If I lost my device nobody would be able to get into it. So unticking this and do the usual root process and voila it works as per!
Just thought I'd share this information for anyone also having trouble
For a few weeks now, I have been unable to update my galaxy s5 to lollipop 5.0. I the download the update perfectly fine, but when I go to install it, it loads for a minute then says error. Now my phone was rooted, but one day it became unrooted. I tried to reroot it but it didn't work at all. I have a feeling when it unrooted, it didn't fully unroot? So I may have done something wrong here.. if anyone has similar issues and knows what may be wrong can you please help me!! I have reset my phone many times and nothing works!!
Hey all,
I Have been using my S4 for quite a while now, with no real problems, untill a few months ago, I started getting a randome message:
title - "SIM card removed"
msg - "Unable to detect your SIM card. Your devide will restart to check for your SIM card.
After testing for a while, and searching the web, turns out many other s4 users get it, and it is not a phisical issue, but a program bug. Is there a way to fix it?
I have been trying to update my firmware and upgrade to android v5.0, however, the phone restarts into RC mode, and starts to install the update, and get stuck somewhere around 60%. each and every time. And it doesn't matter if I OTA update, or KIES update. I still keep getting an error.
I think the 2 problems might be connected.
Its a s4 19505, stock rom, unrooted phone.
Thanks in advance! Oren.
BUMP please
Things like that don't appear on random. I don't believe it's a software error. You probably have a hardware failure.
You can try flashing the update with Odin. But I don't believe your sim error will be solved.
Hi everyone sorry if this is not the correct place to post this.
Ok... so a few weeks ago, I got a phone gift Galaxy Note 3 - SM N900, and them I received an update notification to upgrade my system to Lollipop, so I said why not?, after downloading all the files and data with wifi connection, when the phone restart everything was ok, but when appear the screen "Android is Upgrading" an other message appeared "Unfortunately the process.com.android.phone has stopped", and now it get stuck in the process.
*list of things I already tried*
-clearing the data
-factory Reset
-Changing ROM via Odin (i got the "pass")
Anyone know what is the problem? any solution, or should I throw it away
Thanks for take your time to read and for your answers and opinions.
Quick, recap, I own a galaxy S5 Lolipop 5.1.1 SM-G900W8 build #LMY47X.G900W8VLU1COI4, previously rooted.
It all begin, when my phone been experiencing some battery draining issue. So I decide to do factory rest. But get this at that time my phone was fully rooted, w/Lolipop 5.1.1...
So I've read all the informations I could get online made sure to unroot the phone ( using CF-Auto Root ktlevl-sm G900W8.), with Odin, and reflash the phone with custom recory (G900W8VLU1COI4.tar.md5 file). I've made sure to get the exact one matching my phone carrier.
And after rooted the phone...All went well...Then 24-48 hours after the **** hit the fan.!!!!
They weere dialogue box keep poping up, from Touchwiz has closed, to Unified Daemond has closed just to name a few...
I decided to factory rest the phone again, reflash and rooted same problem occuring occuring.
So I decide not to root and the issue stop but now I'm unable to fully use my phone because it anin't root so certain function of my phone can't benefit such like using Airplane mode or Mobile data toggle using tasker. When my phone was fully rooted I was able to take full advantage of my Tasker profile. I've google the web and came acrros people who expericing the same issue as I did, but can't find a solution.
If there anyone who had that problem and manage to solve it, kindly share your story and solution with me....
Thank you in advance on getting back to me,
