I use Dorimanx Power Kernel 9.2 with CloudyG3 2.1, I play so much games (Real Racing 3, ShadowGun) but I also whatch some video on YouTube, Twitch and navigate on Facebook and Chrome. So the question is: what is the best kernel that guarantees performance while playing games but doesnt kill my battery? Thanks
The best is the one who fits ours needs! Try some combinations and take your own conclusion.

Alucard seems the perfect one, not even a single lag or stutter, smooth... But I want to know how it works and what it does, any definition of it is appreciated
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Free mobile app
P.S: I found the perfect setting
CPU Governor: Interactive
CPU Hotplug: Alucard Hotplug
I/O Scheduler: NOOP
Now the phone has very good performance and very good battery life! Now mods can close the thread (or leave it open, do what you want)

Hello guys, a curiosity, um bit of time on my nexus s i9023 overheats and becomes very hot after crashes and reboots itself Happen to you? There are solutions. Sorry forma my english

hey
i have the same problem only when running aokp and miui roms.
Let me guess, you have overclocked to 1300 or 1200 MHz?
Sent from my Nexus S using Tapatalk 2
Yeah. We need to know when it overheats. Just saying it does doesn't help.

You are right. Then RombMIUI 2.6.22 kernel with air kernel. CFQ scheduler. Governor smartassv2 and freq. Min 200 and max 1200. Same problem with aokp. And even changing kernel example that of mat1x 22 nothing new.

Overheat during normal use, like surfing the Internet and surf the xda forums with tapatalk. But especially when I use it and is connected to the charger.

Have you tried scaling down to 1ghz? That should be more than enough for daily tasks.
Sent by pocket technology
Overheating caused most of the time by
- poor 3g field power in your environment or
- by applications running endless in the background
For the first case just switch to 2g and see if it helps, for the second case uninstall any apps which you dont need or install a program which shows you the processor load: normally it shouldn't be over 4-10%

I tried but it has not changed anything. It is becoming a toaster. I can cook two eggs.

Surely it is because in this period is always on 3g, now I try to change to 2g. While with regard to the applications. The only WhatsApp are installed, and k9mail ebay app. Alla in background

Is your phone constantly awake(massive blue bar compared to screen on)? A rogue app can cause excessive heat. Snag CPU spy and see if your phone is actually going to sleep
Sent by pocket technology
yup, use cpu spy to check if its actually going to sleep or if its running at max freq. then check the battery and apps to see what has been running the most. I've noticed that Maps is usually the culprit

I realised that during (USB) charging the system process runs at 50-60% CPU. It could be the reason... anybody the same experience?
USB only charges around like 500ma vs the 750 the stock charger puts out. The phone doesn't fully go to sleep while charging via USB. That may explain the cpu speed, although that seems kinda high. Mine when hooked up via USB is probably 200mhz.

Mine is original (no root) and sometimes burns my leg... when it's inside my pant pocket... :cyclops:
Hello.
This is a noob question. Are there any good apps that particularly helps to prevent overheating by limiting the CPU?
Thanks.

I don't know about apps. but your thermal throttle will limit your CPU depending on temp.

If you are unlocked and on custom kernel you can try trickster mod. Just download in the playstore. P.s. i recommend the elementalx kernel.

Y use kernel tweaker or setcpu to underclock my cpu and gpu and after some time using the phone they just go back yo 2496mhz and i lost my underclock.
I prefer having it stuck on maybe 1,5ghz i don't do much gaming. But when i do it jumps back to 2,5 no matter what.
I think this is to give the user a fluid experience. But i want battery life!
Thanks in advance.
I am using stock rom wuth dori's kernel.

Some kernelbtweak apps require busybox. If that doesnt work, try different kernel.

I did a quick AnTuTu benchmark of my OnePlus today.
I've made some customization to the device from stock, but I am still running the stock CM11S ROM.
The results speak for themselves.
I just benchmarked as the best performing mobile in the world. (according to AnTuTu)

Nice!
Got a invite yesterday status is on pending shipment right now I held one yesterday its a beast!
It's a great phone, especially after tweaking.

Here are my results. I was using stock rom and franco kernel
Stock.
Well that was short lived. I wonder if my DPI tweaks have something to do with it. I will retest and advise.

I benched it a few days ago
Stock + Greenify
Here's mine! Stock rooted w/ xposed
This phone has wicked performance. I played around with DPI a bit on my phone and that had a minor impact on results (around 1000 deviation at most). Also I found you can drive the results up a bit further if the phone isn't too hot - which makes sense.

just curious about performance, what about those Optimised Libraries (Bionic or smth like).?
as for Nexus 5, after installing (flashing) Optimised Library and Dalvik Binaries (or smth like this, not sure about the exact name ) it BOOSTS A LOT performance and the score in AnTuTu. so just curious about One if it needs those, or already on board.?
(yes, for ART no need for Optimised Dalvik)
btw have someone tested the AnTuTu on ART vs Dalvik, is there a difference between.?)
(maybe with ART we could get over 40.000) :fingers-crossed:
Hello antutu score

Can you check with classical Antutu from play store?

Everytime I turn my N7 on the bottom left of it gets uncomfortably hot. It's normally clocked at 1.7 GHZ but I down clocked it back to 1.3 GHz and now its actually almost hotter? What could be the cause of this? Is it normal?
Running cyanogenmod 11 with latest firmware and bootloader. Also using Faux kernel

I have the 2012, just overclocked using Faux's slightly. I have of course considered this being the cause but I turned it to normal and it's still quite a bit hotter than I'd expect it to be. It's what my phone is when I'm over abusing it on a stress test or something or its messed up and going with a maxed out CPU all the time LOL
