When I use the stock internet browser, I continuously get this THIS TAB HAS CRASHED error, which I refresh and it works fine. Its becoming annoying because it happens 10-20 times a day. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Phone Info:
I have a Galaxy S5 from Cricket (AT&T-USA MVNO).
Samsung-SM-G900AZ
Android 4.4.2
Baseband G900AZTUU1ANE7
The stock browser is a weird piece of software. It doesn't even have a name (just says "Internet"), no version number., doesn't say who made it (Google, Samsung or 3rd party?), doesn't have a privacy policy. But I use it because its fast and works the way a browser should. The phone is only 4 days old. Not rooted. I am pretty sure this is some sort of bug Google has placed in Android to push people to use Chrome browser instead just like Samsung is pushing people to use Samsung cloud services for Contacts, but without getting in the middle of their tug of war, I'd like to be able to use my phone properly. :good:
Anyone else having this issue? Its frustrating because it is happening 20 times a day already. When I refresh it works fine. So why doesn't the dumb app just try to refresh without my intervention?

Have you tried to clear data of it?
Yes just did and it keeps happening, a lot!

Did you ever find a solution to this issue is is doing my nut in. Sometimes it crashes and I have to reload the tab maybe 7 or 8 times before it works as if no issues. I have a feeling it might be flash related but can't find a fix.

Seeing this too. A little wary on whether or not I want to install it.
Just found this:

Looks like we're in the clear.

Even so, I can't say I'm happy about Facebook forcing me to update with what ever permissions it chooses.
I can see me uninstalling it very soon...
My coworker had the same thing, only her download froze. Couldn't tell what was going on, so we killed about every app on the phone trying to get it to stop (plus rebooting, uninstalling FB, etc). Finally figured out it was actually doing it thru Downloads, not the Play Store.
That's the straw that broke the FB camel's back for me... uninstalled the app and went back to using the mobile website. I like it better anyways.
Someone knows what's happening here?

It might have something to do with Voice Typing. Try disabling Google Search from Keyboard Input Methods. Or try clearing the data of Android Keyboard.
I get the same issue.
Noticed it because my device got really hot and I saw all four cores constantly above 1,5 GHz (Galaxy S4).
If you look in Apps you will see that Google Keyboard is constantly starting dictionary service. Do not disable the keyboard because the device gets unusable due to Force Closes.
same problem
I have same problem with Google keyboard. Just now I restricted background data for wi-fi and mobile and I noticed that my phone cooled down very fast. I'will test it today and let you know what I found out.
Fixed problem with keyboard draining battery by restricting it's background data both on wi-fi and mobile. Before I got about 2h of SOT on full charge(100%-0%), and now I got 1h 45min SOT on 20%(100%-80%)
over 4gb.... I usually strict my data usage to certain mb. That way I don't have to worry about it. Anyway thanks for the heads up.

The above pops up sometimes on its own, as well as generally when I get an alert for a new text or the like. But my Google Account is already synced and seems to be in working order for the apps that need it. And when I click through on the above to try and log in, nothing happens.
Any thoughts as to what is causing it, and how to fix it? Been having this issue for about a week now (which induced me to try and upgrade...was not pleased with the experience, so I reverted to my most recent backup, and the problem is thus still there.
I'm not running sac's rom, but I heard there is a fix for that error in the rom thread. Do a search for google sign in error in the rom thread.

From a computer check your Google account setting to verify that two factor authentication is turned off.

Remove the battery while phone is running and restart. Hopefully that will fix it. Otherwise you may have to do a factory reset. Or, your phone is damaged.
After restart everything works as it should

I've had the same issues with my Note 4. I searched a lot online trying to find an answer.
If it was a hardware problem, I think you would see WAY more people having an issue. Plus I tried one persons attempt and it worked for me.
I removed Tesla Flashlight app and rebooted (not factory reset). Once the phone turned back on, the camera worked fine. I've heard from others to remove any flashlight type app and it fixes it.
Again if it was a hardware problem, I don't see how removing certain apps would fix it. It could be a hardware/software issue.
My problem now is that I use my flashlight a lot and if I can't have a flash light on my phone, I consider it a major FAIL for Samsung. Such a shame because I've been such a supporter for so many years.
This problem occurs because your flashlight app could be locking out your camera hardware in order for it to use the flash. This behavior maybe different for other flashlight app so try switching to other app.
Oddly for my model of Note 4 I don't need to download a flashlight app since there's already a built in widget in there plus it can function even when I use the camera. Try looking for it in the widgets menu it's name is torch with a green icon.
Okay so im still sort of new to this whole forum and so far I've talked to some great people who have helped me understand how to root, and theme haha thanks.
But this is a serious matter. My mother has Verizon wireless their tech support can't figure out whats going on with her phone and shes getting death threats and lawsuits.
She has switched out her phone 2 times, changed her number twice and it still sends out messages of spam, like to random numbers, Pretty much she's spoof'd. I have looked at her phone and I've yet to see any strange apps, I've ran scans, she doesn't even have an SD card anymore. While she was transitioning to a new phone tho, they gave her a loaner phone, before she got out of the store she had 13 new messages sent out to random people.
I'm stumped, Verizon is stumped my moms freaking out etc.
I have also updated her phone to 5.0 here are the screen shots and the actual model of the device.
