HI I have downloaded the I5800XXJPM.zip firmware but it has only 3 files in it. Now i am confused how to flash it in Odin. I have flashed earlier using both the method like different files and one package but this file is different. I think i need to make a tar file before.
files that is under the zip file is: factoryfs.rfs, modem.bin and zImage.
Please suggest me the right way.
probably you open the tar file, those three files are inside the tar.

not its a zip file which has a size of 125 Mb. Previously I flashed my odin with both ways (one package and also with 4 different files) but both of those files were different. Can u give me a link so that I download the right file. Make sure its XXJPM coz i will then flash to Indroid 4.1, currently i m in XXJPF.

1% battery mod is working only with fugumod 2.4 kernals!!
what you want to know about themes../??
Just go to themes section download any theme you like..
read all the instructions..
generally there are two to three files which you have to replace with old files in system/framework folder.
some have themed apks also.
you have to replace them with old apks in system/app
that should be helpful!!
PS A thanks buttob do exist there if u dont know !!
The missing files were logo.png and cache.rfs.
I think that missing logo.png is not big deal, but I don't know what cahe.rfs is supposed to do.

This is the latest firmware (T700XXU1ANF7) as of June 29, 2014 for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 (Wifi) model (SM-T700).
"No-Wipe" means your app data and storage will all stay 100% in tact. Only system mods, custom kernels, and root will be removed as you are flashing stock firmware.

Is there any tool to extract system.img?
UPDATE:
I found a way how to do it.
I used sgs4ext4fs by Chainfire to modify system.img and after that Ext2explore to extract files from modified system.img .
Also if anyone is interested how to extract hidden.img, first you need to modify it with sgs4ext4fs and after that use sgs2toext4. Then you can open modified hidden.img with ext4_unpacker and extract files from it.

Maybe you could repack it with root files to get root. There is a how to video on you tube. I would do it, but my linux machine is down.

Chainfire needs recovery.img to make cf autoroot for us. Are u able to extract the recovery.img for the q0.5 as well as 8.4 so I can post it in the cf auto root thread so we can get root?

bare with me on that one since I tried too many different options, following worked for me - required files attached here (I ziped, so hopefully XDA did not blocked it)
This is for Windows PC:
1. Download sgs4ext4fs.exe, and download firmware, unzip firmware up until you see system.img.
2. Open command prompt (on windows, click start, type cmd) where system.img, and type
sgs4ext4fs --trim system.img systemt.img
........ > you will see bunch of ............., but wait until it finishes.
3. Once it finishes it creates systemt.img, get sgs2toext4.jar (save it to the same folder), and open sgs2toext4.jar, and drag and drop newly created systemt.img to the window (sgs2toext4.jar's window), wait until it finishes, when it finishes it will create systemt.ext4.img
4. Now last step, download ext2explore.exe, and open it, and go to file --> open image and pick systemt.ext4.img, it will show the img file there (on both side of window), on the left side, select the systemt.ext4.img (should be showing full path), right click your mouse, and select save to your desktop or any other folder location you pick.
Obviously, next step will be odexing everything:laugh:

Anyone have the I337_OC3_Stock_Paritions.tar.md5 file? I need that file for Odin. All I keep finding are the .zip files and the link provided in the ROM [GOLDENEYE] pages doesn't seem to work anymore. I'm stuck until I get that file.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Official Sony Z3 Compact Concept marshmallow 6.0 edition build 2099 ftf file

Thanks @Jozinek for first release
Is this for the Compact?
Edit: I've just seen the file name
doesn't show under Flashtool
Seems to have been packaged or compressed incorrectly. I have extracted the FTF, which appears to be an ordinary zip, and am making a bundle with the files from the zip with FlashTool, which I'll then try to flash on top of 2085...

6.0_concept_Z3compact_2099.ftf: Zip archive data, at least v2.0 to extract
right you are
missing meta-inf/manifest.mf file that's why flashtool won't recognize as ftf
Thanks, i can make a zip flashable prerooted whit prf creator?
I'm repackaging same as @LadFromWales85. Let's see how it goes
Yes i upload wrong file sorry
Open ftf files with 7zip file manager
Open attached meta-inf.zip, extraxt meta-inf folder and copy to ftf files on 7zip.
Flashed now, without your META-INF, though I need to factory reset as I haven't done it since Lollipop and Google Play Services randomly force closes, as does Album.
I really don't want to though, as without USB mass storage access to the internal memory I can't correct the file modify time for pictures and they get sorted wrong in galleries. That and I'll have a Z5p soon so don't want to invest too much time fiddling with this!

Can I install this ftf in a Z3 Compact with a locked bootlader?
Thanks!
yes you can.
i put the ftf file in the firmwear folder but the flash program wont recognize it
nvm i figured it out
Any available mirror op? just download the file via mega and it got stuck on 99%
After adding the missing Meta-File everything worked like a charm THANK You.
Fix file uploading mega and mirror, when done i will add first post.
how to add the meta-file. I opened in 7zip the ftf file and extracted the meta.zip file but i don't get any option to paste file inside the opened 7zip program
Still waiting for the Ota to arrive. Don't understand why it takes so long...
I obtained the firmware for this model and to my surprise, the odin files do not have the ext4 extension. However, in spite of that, they cannot be opened by my normal tools 7zip or WinZip. I do not understand the encoding for these files, has anyone successfully opened them?

It depends on the image, boot, recovery, system etc and what you want to do with it?

I figured out the issue.
The earlier firmwares list the files as .img, but they are in fact .img.ext4 files. I renamed them, then converted them to proper .imgs and it worked.
Thanks you for giving a response.
