Jawbone ERA Bluetooth Headset

First of all....i have had a jawbone since the first model...love them...they worked great on GB and ICS on my galaxy S and all the roms i tried there...now i have the JAWBONE ERA.
Since i recieved my n4 from the original US shipping batch the bluetooth / headset combo has been very poor. I know this has been on here, but i don't seem to know how to search just the n4 forum on my phone.
The bluetooth audio stutters during almost all calls. It is not all the time, but more than half of the calls i make i have to turn it off. when it works...its perfect. The stutter makes it to where you can't tell for 3 seconds what someone is saying. Sometimes it is one time on the call...or it continues every few minutes stuttering for 3 seconds.
this happened on Stock, Stock rooted, Stock rooted but upgraded to 4.2.1, Paranoid Android with stock kernel and Franco kernel 10 thru 30, and now JellyBeer with franco (did not try jellybeer's kernel).
does anyone have a link to a thread in the forum that may help me learn more?
What can I do to properly diagnose and get this diagnosis data to the forum? I'd love to help fix this!
or...am i crazy and my headset must me worn out?

[Q] Cant hear (almost) any audio whatsoever

flashed a CM 10.2 nightly (26th) yesterday, (currently back on stock 4.3 jrwr66y) woke up this morning to my phone producing almost absolutely no audio what so ever,
the only audio i can get to make is an extremely quiet volume of sound, and that is only on the phone, which my audio comes out on the other side just as quiet regardless of how loud i speak. music, games, ect make no sound, and one of my games is giving me an error as if headphones are plugged in when they arent. also just plugging in a pair of headphones just makes the phone freeze up and become unresponsive for a couple of minutes, also just trying to change the audio levels is unresponsive and laggy
anybody have any idea what could be causing this, im at my wits end here, i just got this phone a week ago and im already having issues with it Please Help!

When you flashed between ROM's, did you do full wipes? I have read version 4.3 has caused issues with audio. Try a lower version ROM and see if that helps. And don't forget to do full wipes, and wipe a few times, before flashing.

Microphone issue in software

The problem with me d802 is extremely weird. I was using my LG G2 all stock, when suddenly the microphone sensitivity became almost zero. I had to hold the phone extremely close to my mouth while talking for the other person to hear me. And, the mic worked good on loud speaker and with external microphone too. I guessed it was a bad mic. So i got it changed. But it still didn't work. Next thing I did was root it, and flash CM11 Snapshot M12. And to my surprise, the microphone works awesome now. I though some tweaking may have fixed it, so i went back to stock. And the problem came up again. I flashed CloudyG2 and the issue was there too. I flashed CM12.1 nightly and the issue was there too. I flashed CM12 snapshot M1 and finally, the issue was gone again. After spending an entire week in flashing ROMs and changing modems, i have reached this conclusion that the mic works only on KitKat modem, and only with CM11 or CM12 installed. I also tried Omni ROM which is kk based, it gave me the same issue. If any one could guide me a little on this, it would be of great help. Thanks!

Mic issues

Hey there!
When I bought my OnePlus 5, it came with a mic hardware defect: one worked and the other didn't. Since I live in Pakistan, I couldn't claim warranty and get it fixed. It wasn't a major issue though because the broken mic was only used for the voice recording app and shazam (a third party app that recognizes music around you).
Recently I switched to a different ROM: LiquidRemix and LineageOS. Using both the ROMs, I found that the phone app used the broken mic for calls. This is a major problem now because calling is a pretty important feature of the phone. This forced me to go back to OxygenOS.
I bought this phone because of the amazing developer support on it. Once OnePlus stops supporting the OnePlus 5, I would want to use a custom ROM as a daily driver, and that would not be possible if the mic for calls doesn't work.
So are there any apps or work around that I can use to prevent the ROMs from using the broken mic for calls?
Please help me guys, would flashing stock kernel on the custom ROM work? I have no experience with flashing kernels so I need your help to figure this out. Thanks

Linaeage 5.1 headphone port

Hi all.
Being lurking here for a while and I've generally being able to find a solution for any issues I've had until now.
I've just installed Lineage 15.1 from stock. So far I'm preferring this to stock and all works except the headphone Jack?
In a sense it works as in system sounds work but as soon as I play any music I get a quite his. When I try to watch a video with my headphones the video is very shuttery and there is no sound. When I unplug my head phones there are no issues.
Everything works fine with Bluetooth headphones
I'm running the latest nightly 15.1 lineage. Tried a custom kernel and this also didn't fix the issue
Any ideas?

You must flash 5.1.0 / 5.1.1 firmware. OpenBeta 9 / 10 firmwares causes audio issues
