D802 Unknown Sofware Update? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi folks,
My UK D802 is showing that there's an update available, but there's no real information as to what's going to be updated.
Does anyone else know what the update is? I'm a bit reluctant to blindly update something, without knowing if it can be undone.
Thanks

It's the 20H update. There's a thread here somewhere but the information is sparse.

Just a thought, but will I have to install this update to be able to receive the Lollipop update when it gets released?

Yes, most likely.
When I am on 20D, I will get 20G and then 20H. Cant go straight from 20D to 20H. Guess same goes when Lollipop comes out.

[Q] Official Samsung Update Android 4.4.2

there will be a problem? if i install first the official update to android 4.4.2 on my samsung galaxy s4 (i337m) and then install a custom rom like "skyfall"
there will be a problem with Knox, Bootloader or something like that?
Is the otA update being pushed still? 3 phones never got the update at&t. Mine I had to go manually request it. Just curious if they eventually gonna be pushing it to all

Looks like the bug fix for the battery drain problem on 4.4.2 is addressed with the 4.4.3 update which is coming soon. This update may explain the slow down for the 4.4.2 update hitting as scheduled.

H815 TWN receives V10e

Hey guys, i''ve received 50MB V10e OTA.
probably one before the V20 Marshmallow
Got It As well
Just searched for the update as soon as I saw this post, which is now. So downloading now. I'm curious to what has been changed.
Mmm. Most disappointing when waiting patiently for the official Marshmallow update for my TWN device.
Doesn't suggest that we will be receiving it any time soon.
Received as well for SEA variant
Anybody on the TWN version found a rooted image for v10E? Right now I've got a rooted V10D on mine and OTA doesn't install. Any suggestions?

You have to remove root via SuperSU settings, then install the update using LG Bridge.
Once I get the update on mine (hopefully today) I'll root the image and upload for others to use.
EDIT: Got the update - I'll root the image and upload it. Will post a link here when it's done.
Here's the pre-rooted 10E system image. Flash as normal

Noticed any clear improvements in V10E??
Might be placebo but I have less stutter...noticeably less. Seems most apparent when typing with Google keyboard.
The marshmallow update has been released today. Via LG Bridge you can download it right now!

Nice but without a way to root MM yet (for locked bootloader) I can't see me using it yet.

As far as I can tell now, it is pretty cool. I had to wipe all data anyway, because I had my phone rooted before, but the new permissionmanagement is really nice. The new battery-saving function which shuts down apps automatically is a bit confusing.
I have this but no idea what's different

That's not for the TWN device, which is what this thread is for.
Apologies..please delete
Just received a TWN G4 with 10b installed. Any reason not to use this to gain root?

I would update with OTA up to 10E first, then root.

TWN Devices Now Receiving MM Update

20c is now being pushed out to TWN devices, so check your system updates.
Personally I'm sticking with LP as I prefer to keep root.
OTA or LG Bridge?
just checked via OTA..
Can someone tell me how the battery life compares to Lollipop?

where can i find the kdz file?
can't seem to find the folder location

OTA with MM (V20c) received yesterday at night, im from argentina

I received my 20c update ota on my TWN device yesterday afternoon.
Early impressions - battery life is equally or more abysmal than all of the other Marshmallow kdz's that I have tried - from a fresh install (factory reset)
Just updated mine to v20c-TWN-XX via LG Bridge. Will be keeping a close eye on battery drain....
I just got 20c TWN. Battery seems pretty much the same (i've removed facebook). Which is rubbish since doze is supposed to Help. Also where is the sd as internal storage thing?

i tried searching every lg bridge directory, can't seem to find it
I've just reverted back to nice stable Jellybean. 20c is just as bad as the rest. Love this LG phone but, if I bought it with marshmallow installed, I would be sending it back.
should i update or not? hmm

too early to tell, I will say that day one has been awful. I updated using LG Bridge.
No idea what you guys are on about. This is my first time running marshmellow of any kind on my g4 and my phone is much snappier and responsive than before this update. Not to mention battery life is fantastic thanks to Doze. I have marshmellow on several other devices, and even though this one is from the manufacturer OS, it feels about the same as my other devices.

I do. Just got caught in a time warp for a few moments.

LG G2 Verizon OTA. Is it real?

Update: Yeah never mind, it's just a minor software change from VS98039A to VS9803AA
I'm getting forced to update via OTA. Currently running 5.0.2. Scouring the net, I don't see any mention of a new OTA.
Anyone else getting an update?
Likely just a security update. How big is the OTA?
Backup and update
