Hey People,
I've just brought the web domain and some server space for the creation of eeetransformer.org where i'm going to build a website for stuff to do with the Asus Eee Transformer. Surprisingly.
I'm looks for volunteers to work with me and create what id like to be the a second home (XDA obviously the home) of Transformer Mods and guides. I always said I'd never buy a tablet not supported on XDA however the pen functionality of the Lenovo tablet outweighed this criteria.

Hey guys, I am pretty close to snapping up a Kindle Fire and would like to know whether this could be possible at some stage. I don't want this to sound like a whinging demand, just a friendly enquiry
I realise that getting Ubuntu or a similar distro to run properly on the Fire would be a huge task and I definitely don't have the skills to make this possible (though I would love to learn how to). So I am just wondering if anyone out there is or will be working on this in the future. I'd also be happy to contribute to a dev fund to get this done!
It would be so awesome to be able to have a full linux distro on such a portable and affordable tablet as the Fire, don't you think?

Like dude said, no need to apologize. But I do have to ask, did you really search the Kindle Fire General Forum? All I had to do was click "Search this forum" and typed "ubuntu", got it first try.

Yeah, I did search initially but I just tried the search again and found it first go, like you said. I have no idea how I missed it the first time!
Anyway, no harm done. Just pretty keen to be running something like this natively on the Fire. I only bought mine from the XDA Marketplace today and hopefully will be able to try out VNC when it arrives.

Xperia news in not available in Russia. I rated Cinema360 5* ("Полезная прога для ценителей индийского кино!") - this is my honest opinion. Please note that you have now your first written review in Russian The only wish is to localize to Russian completely - now it looks partially localized. Also it would be great to see Hollywood database in there!

I found Xperia news via Cinema 360 (so you should fix the link in your original post). Xperia news has similar good looking UI as Cinema 360, so I think this app can be really a pocket app for all Xperia fans.
