Hi! Do you noticed any bigger differences? And the score in Antutu is the same or it's changed? Thank you

Does someone knows how to change the default theme (white) in this version to black? I mean the backround of the system apps, I think Black was a lot better (which I had in KK).
THANKS IN ADVANCE

I'd just like to ask if my Phone won't get bricked or get out of warranty if I flash this...my S5 is G900F but Carrier Locked with a CSC of "GLB".
Bootloader: ANI4
Baseband: ANG8
PDA: ANI4
CSC Version: ANI1
Will the CSC change if I flash a non-carrier locked firmware? Will my Data be wiped? Can I later update to my regional carrier locked firmware?

SM-G900F 5.0 Lollipop 0x0

I suppose it's because of TouchWiz but this lollipop release feels a little sluggish at times. Also, I'm mad at google for removing the silent mode function and replacing it with priority mode. Don't "fix" what isn't broken.
I dirty flashed the polish odin tar directly over a custom kitkat rom (edgar's extrestolite) and I'm having no issues. No force closes or anything. Everything works!

Can I disable RTL
Can I disable RTL in some apps or whole system
I use arabic lang. and RTL couses some problems in apperance of some apps and wedgets so can i stop it ??

Well, after first boot you have to wait for all apps to start working (I'm not talking about fix permissions, which by the way was quite long).
And the one big thing is that my S5 on antutu used to have 40000-42000 points, after installing lollipop I have 38000-39000 points. It dropped from 2k+ to 200 on Runtime Environment, ~1k on ram usage, multitasking and some on CPU.
And personally I don't see any difference in the system. Just task bar is now 'transparent' and not screen-wide.

TB needs to be updated. I think it has something to do with 5.0 being ART exclusive. You can restore your apps but without the data using TB and it won't fc anymore. (But what's the use of TB if we cant restore data, right?)

This is a problem with SELinux context on restored apps data. TB won't set it right so apps with restored data are force closed. Se context is set to "u: object_r:system_data_file:s0", but needs to be "u: object_r:app_data_file:s0".
This happening not only with android 5.0, but with android 4.3 and above, where SELinux was introduced. Normally this should be fixed by running this command from root shell on the phone: "restorecon -v -R /data/data"/
But on SM-G900F Polish rom I tnink restorecon is broken (it is crashed - segfaults), so I have to set security context instead of reset.
This can be done either by chcon command in shell, or by using Root Explorer's "change SE context" (+ option "also set on all sub-folders and files") on all folders of restored apps data. You should choose "select context from list" and then select "u: object_r:app_data_file:s0". Do not set context to this value for the whole folder "data", some subfolders needs to have a different security context!

I have installed Android 5.0 and followed the instructions, but after i flashed it, the phone turned on, updated the apps and contacts.

Sounds like you're missing something. Did everything flash? Do you have a G900F? Did you perform a factory reset before / after flashing?

After flashing Android 5.0. The apps updated and everything. But since it kept restarting i went into recovery mode and did a factory reset, and that didnt help
Maybe I should flash again?

Sorry but could find specific answer so asking...
will it work if i flash Poland update G900FXXU1BNL2 on my SGS5 G900FZHU1ANF6
I know it could possibly gives me modem issues, so is there any fix for that also?

Instead of having the the status bar at the top, it's all at the bottom, a visible home, back and multi task buttons are shown as well as the quick launch buttons moving to a menu that appears when you hit the time (which gets moved to the bottom right hand corner of the screen)
In the 4.1.2 firmwares, you enabled it by changing the dpi to something like 160, it makes the interface less "kiddie like".
You can still change the DPI but, ever since 4.2.2 for this device, you've not able to enable Tablet UI, as they've removed it from the framework. I flashed it about 20 minutes after posting my question and discovered that it's still gone, which totally sucks!

Thanks for the info.
Yes I remember my Lenovo ThinkPad tablet worked that way.
For me I'm maybe happier with th phone layout as it is the same as my phone. Did I just write that.
Anyway thanks for the heads up.
I have upgraded to 4.2.2 also but can't really see a difference.
Hoping we get 4.3 and can we hope for 4.4 too?
I don't know why the Note 8 is not considered a Samsung premium product. It is premium for me, can even use it as a phone in a pinch.

Upgrading an encrypted Note8
My Note8 is encrypted because of the BYOD policy in our company. It is my first Samsung appliance and is also my first encrypted appliance I am going to upgrade.
Did someone try this kind of ODIN-pushed upgrade
- on an encrypted Note8?
- or on another encrypted 4.1-based Samsung appliance?
Do you think it will work?
I believe Galaxy Gear support will be added.
The download link from the OP is not valid anymore because HOTFILE.COM has been closed.

It isn't that hard to check if it has been already released or not.
I see a Baltics kdz and open 16gb version from Italy. and also branded Rogers one.

Have they merged 4.4.4 updates?

What about root/recovery?
Hey,
I've got the update as well but haven't updated yet, anyone knows if the current root/recovery methods work with the new version?
Don't want to lose my root :/
Thanks!
you can flash bruce v20f v4 stock rom for d802, it has root included (search in forum for download and instructions)...
prior flash - you can backup your apps with titanium (or preferred app) and restore them later (best to use usb otg stick for backups but you can backup on internal sd card as well since bruce's new rom flash doesn't require formatting sd card - only system, cache and data)
i've only lost my sms messages, but that's no biggie...
ps:
i have 16gb phone
Thanks!
Just got my G2 yesterday, Bruce's rom seems like a really nice option!

Flipboard bug in lollipop

I have found strange bug in G900IZTU1BOA1 firmware.
When you disable/freeze/remove/debloat from custom recovery or even download and change launcher from default touchwizz to nova (for example), you will be not able to boot phone after picking reboot from power menu. After quite long waiting time with black screen, you'll get info that system proccess has been stopped and 2 optrions (wait and ok).
After removing battery and boot everything seems to be fine again.
Anyone else?
What with other variants of Galaxy S5?

SM-T320 March 2015 Firmware Upgrade

I've just installed the latest firmware for the TabPro 8.4; KOT49H.T320XXUBOC1. Disappointingly, it's still 4.4.2 which makes me wonder if we'll ever see a L-pop upgrade. I've only been running it for a half-hour or so but can't notice any difference. I'll report back if there any major problems.

IPTV or torrent tv, normally plays through mx player ?. Was a bug, half of the screen black
http://forum.xda-developers.com/app...f-screen-black-watching-t3017829#post58842303
That firmware is just for the UK, which I believe went to NI1 last fall about a month before the U.S. went to NK1.
I don't know that I'd read a lot into it. If anything, they could be getting UK firmware better aligned with other locations for a smoother universal upgrade to 5.
Edit: Okay, looks like it's indeed out now for the U.S., too. Still hoping it's progress towards a Lollipop upgrade.
So does anyone actually know what changes this update brought? I was having some issues with my tab pro 8.4 missing touches, i 1st noticed it during gaming but was able to replicate it with display tester multitouch test.
It seems to be fine now, i thought for sure it was a hardware defect but now I'm not so sure. Anyone else in a similar position as me?

I'm in the process of trying to line up everything to do this. My update that pushed through took me to T320UEU1AOC1. I haven't located the extracted US kernel file for that and unfortunately don't know how to pull it from my current build. Anyone know if that would work to get me back to my current build and keep my US region?

Could you put the steps I need in order to what you did here?
I have the Romanian version of the updated ROM on a T325.
The biggest issue I have noticed is with the light sensor, with the previous ROM the auto setting worked smoothly, now with the new ROM the screen doesn't fade continuously. Whenever I turn on the screen the brightness just switches from a higher to a lower setting or inversely (without smooth fading and with lag), also the screen flickers horribly when it detects a change so I can't use the auto anymore.
The second issue is with the Samsung keyboard with learning disabled, in a Facebook floating chat window I tried to respond to someone and the keyboard would auto complete with empty words and after every word I had to delete the word before to be able to write the next word. I had to re-enable the learning to get rid of this very annoying problem.
I will try to downgrade to the previous ROM and root it with towelroot and say goodbye to any future official Samsung updates. Samsung has the ****tiest update developers, actually I had the same problem with the auto light setting (but not so serious) with the ROM which was before the good one.
By the way, if Lollipop comes DON'T UPGRADE. Lollipop on S5 sucks bigtime, the phone has major issues, android eats more battery than the screen.
Stick with the previous ROM, for me it was the most flawless one. I might try a cache wipe on the current ROM but I doubt it has anything to do with the screen flickering.

After losing root when I took the T320UEU1AOC1 update, I was able to flash the T320 kernel in this thread then use Towelroot again. I did have to reboot, even though it told me I wouldn't need to. I uninstalled and reinstalled SuperSU (hit cancel when I got the SuperSU notice about Knox) and verified root with Root Checker Basic. Then installed the AOC1 kernel. I still have root and Knox is not tripped. (KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0; KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0)

Hi, is there a way to turn on the secret mode in the Samsung internet browser just like the pictures below? I can't find any setting

Yes just click tab button and on the bottom left should be a button for secret mode while the right has button for regular new tab. It's really convenient and useful especially since it has fingerprint lock on it. Love it.

That's why I would like to have it too, but I only have a big button for a regular tab. I don't know if there is a special app I deactiavted settings? I already looked, but I don't see a relation between them
I have the same problem
I have the same problem here on my SM-N920C on 6.0.1 firmware, and when i try to update from the store it gives me "your device isn't compatible with this version"
Internet installed is version 4.0 and the last version available version on the store is 4.2
Any help will be appreciated

I tried contacting some ROM developers, but it seemed no one listened to me

It seems like it's firmware specific issue. Have you tried to update/flash different roms to see if the issue still persists? Maybe the dev disabled too many things and it's causing incompatibilities.

I lost the "enable secret" button when i rooted my phone :/
I don't have it either :S it was there last week!
It seems that after the update to internet browser 5.0 (that brought new UI) there is no more private mode.
I think secret mode uses Knox
@waterdaan Perhaps it's something introduced in Internet browser v5, as it worked fine with v4 and I was rooted already.
