S pen screen write not working - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

At random the s pen screen write function will cease to work. It will take a snapshot but the interface to write on the screen does not appear. The screenshot does appear in the gallery.
A restart will solve it for awhile until it happens again.
Can anybody help on this?

Screen Freezes In Text Messaging??

If I am in the text messaging screen in landscape mode, and close the phone into portrait mode, the screen does not completely rotate.
The top portion of the screen switches, and the bottom menu bar switches, but there is a section about 1/3 the size of the screen that remains in landscape mode until I close the text message program.
It only does it in texting, no other programs cause this problem with the screen, and it has only started doing it since I hard reset the phone.
Any help??
Yeah, texting does some strange stuff for me too. Sometimes when I push the button to select the contact i want to text it takes quite awhile for it to bring up the texting screen. And yes, same as you on the switching from landscape.
hmm.... That's wierd. I cant seem to find anything else relating to this problem
i am having the same problem also.. but recently it stopped.. idk wuts going on?
well, i figured out what the problem was with mine. It was doing it because I hacked the registry for the SIP to completely kill the pop-up keyboard. After re-enabling it, no more screen issue.

Start-menu fail to render

All of a sudden, my start menu doesn't render properly anymore. I think the problem started after I tried out the FingerMenu app here at XDA. Not right a way though, but a day or so after I uninstalled it. It's just a complete mess of colours, but it displays as it should if I swipe my finger across it. Any ideas on how to fix it? I've attached a picture. Thanks
I managed to find the solution myself It was the combination of enabling the animation of popup-menus in WM6.1 and HTC_Enlarge_StartMenu that caused the glitch

Problem with S-pen "write on screen"

Hello everybody
One of the features I mostly use on the Note 4 is the "write on screen". As it's known, when you select this option, the phone takes a screenshot so we can edit it. Well, the issue I am facing is that most of the times the screenshot is taken before the 4 option selector dissapear, and it's then part of the jpeg generated, making it unuseful. I attach an example so you can see what I mean.
I would like to know if anyone is having this problem ab if there is something I can do to solve it.
Thanks
Doesnt happen on my note
also it does not happen on my phone
when option write on screen is selected first the option circle disapere and then phone make screenshot.

Wired bug? Anyone has it

Sometimes when I use my spen and pop up air command and choose screen write the editor to edit that screen shot just won't pop up it takes the screen shot and all but no option to edit that screen shot afterwards, anyone experiencing this issue or some one has already a fix for it please tell me

weird screen bug

This has happened twice today. I am using the phone and the voice typing display will not go away. I can use the phone.. .i can go to the homescreen, open apps, look at settings, etc, but i cannot close the voice prompt, and i can't use it.
It essesentially makes the phone useless until i reboot.
I am not sure why it is doing this. Not rooted nor unlocked or anything.. just stock.
The other thing it is doing is that sometimes when i wave my hand over the screen i will see the unlock screen. it will have the time and a lock icon below it ... if i touch the lock icon, it moves to a lower (on the screen) position and when i re adjust to hit the lock again it moves back up. Not sure how to screen shot this... maybe a video from a different phone.
when this happens, it will unlock by pressing the power button. I think this has something to do with the smart lock. DAMN google for forcing you to have a lock when you use Android Pay. Never had this problem on my Note 4 with Wallet.
Anyway, any help on either of these bugs would be appreciated
ok, i can reproduce the bug.
can someone else try this to confirm?
- with the phone screen off have someone send you a text message.
- swipe up directly to messages. ( use the google one, but i am not sure if it matters.)
- reply to the message with a google voice typing
- hit the power button to turn off the screen.
- Have the person text you again.
- open message by swiping up to it.
At this point the tap to speak screen will be there and not go away until you reboot.
no one else?

I can try it when I get my phone, but that's a few weeks away...
