Hello All,
I'm using note 3 France version. I notice that overnight my phone is getting, yesterday night my phone was charged till 93%and i closed all the running apps & when i see this morning, am left with 71% of juice.
Stock Android + no root.
When i look at the battery graph, it just says "android os" for 100%.
Is it actually hiding any of the background process?
Is this normal?

In my case, the sd card is the culprit. Every thing back to normal when i remove the sd card.

SD card shouldn't be a problem, many people use them without any issues, you may have experienced indexing bug, some program residing partially on a card got shot down, when card was removed, or something of this nature.
As far as OP goes, even battery display itself is weird, never seen anything like that. On mine Android OS, Android System, cell standby, device idle, something from Google and screen will show up at the minimum. In your case it seems every other battery usage had to be very small, way less than 1%, If you press on Android System, you will get more details, but no matter what I would do full factory reset to start with, since neither 22% idle discharge nor battery display is normal. Just make sure you have full backups, since you'll loose all settings and need to reinstall all programs.

Note 3 battery drain problem Solved...
Hi all..
I am using a note 3 LTE N9005. I was facing the battery drain problem with my phone it used to drain at a rate of 10% an hour even when the phone was locked and kept idle. Like some one mentioned above if I kept it aside after full charging in the night it would be around 50% in the morning.
Then i installed wake lock to check what was causing the issue but couldn't find anything unusual.
Later i noticed that my android system and android OS were consuming more than 35 % charge everyday. Even wake lock and other similar apps couldn't find it.
Finally....finally i decided to uninstall few apps one by one and check if anything changes..... and yessss..... i found it.... Facebook app and Facebook messenger were the culprits. ... particularly Facebook app.
Now without them... i am getting a full 6 hours screen time and 24 hours on normal usage. Just try it.... its worth a try.
Please note : My phone : N9005
Android version : 4.4.2 KitKat
Hope this help you.
Hello I' m looking for some help witha battery drain issue i'm having.
I have just got the Note 4 n910g Australian version and i am on stock rom lollipop 5.0.1 LRX22C N910GDTU1BOC5
I have rooted it and and removed a lot of bloatware and froze a lot of app to help increase battery life and speed it up,
but I am having major battery drain issues from Android System and Kernel (Android OS)
I have installed GSAM Battery monitor root and it is giving me the following info
Screen 13% (to be expected)
Android System 25% !!!
Kernel (Android OS) 20% !!
Android System is showing 2635 wake locks which seems excessive
of those wake locks the highest ones are as follows:
WifiWatchdogStateMachine (1553) 1h 19m 26s
*alarm* (663) 4.3m
SyncLoopWakeLock (147) 2.9s
TimaService (103) 6.9m
I have tried rebooting and ending apps which i thought might be affecting them to no avail, can anyone help with how to stop these wake locks as my battery life is terrible.
Many Thanks for any help, it is much appreciated

Hi guys so I have a s4 i337m running Android 5.0.2 and recently I have been getting extreme battery drain. It draims around 3% an hour when the screen is off and seems to be awake more than half the time! I can get may even 2 hours screen on time even with my 3000 mah zero lemon battery. I have factory reset twice and even reinstalled the rom and it if anything it's gotten worse. Any ideas.? I do think want to downgrade to kit kat unless if have to.
Not enough information from you to allow anyone to help. Install an app like Better Battery Stats, run it for a day, then post a log so we can try and help.
I have been using gsam battery monitor for a couple of days and the android settings as well. I don't now how to put pictures in this thread but android is and system are at the top. Around 35% screen 20% android os, 15% android system 10% other apps and the rest unaccounted for. In GSAM I get around 70% app usage with both android is and system taking around half that. In the system settings it also shows that I have severe wakelock. I was in an area with no service at the but that is not the problem. I am on wifi 90% of the time. And almost always have a good cellular connection when I'm not.
