Trying to Root AT&T Galaxy S4 i337 4.4.2 methods fail, why?
I am trying to root my AT&T Galaxy S4 i337UCUFNB1 android 4.4.2 kitkat. I have tried the towelroot method by Geohot and it fails because the phone reboots and I've also tried the "motochopper" method :"http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40747604":4382 , which looked like it was going to work and then I get this error in the image provided. I don't know what I am doing wrong I followed the steps of both methods, if someone can help me figure this out I would be VERY grateful!

After I root with Towelroot, will I still be able to get the 4.4.3 Update OTA when it comes out?? Also if I then do get 4.4.3 and install, will I keep my boot?? Or back to 0 and have to wait for a way to root it?

I'm only guessing based on experience on other devices. Generally the ota will work but you do lose root. So yes, there will probably need to be a new and different root method once 4.4.3 comes out.
Also, if you have root and modify or delete any system files the ota will fail.

Thanks jd1639, will just wait till 4.4.3 since maybe not that long away. But AT&T sure does not get in any hurry. Hope you had a nice Father's Day.

I used towelroot on my fiancés phone running 4.4.2 NC4 and it worked first try.
Be sure too install the SuperSU apk or download it from the play store right after using towel root.
Then you can follow this guide to install safestrap:

First flash old kernel with Odin

And then root your phone using Towelroot
when you done install SuperSu from market
And when your root is okay you can flash latest kernel and enjoy
