Galaxy Note 4 DOES NOT have the Knox 0x0. It only apears as Knox 0.
Is there Any way to keep root and knox 0 in galaxy Noye 4 just as in Note 3 with Towelroot app?

My Note 4 has Knox 0x0. And no there's no way to root without x1.
OK , think we have different Note 4, yours might be Snapdragon , Mine is Exynos.
Exynos dont have Knox 0x0 it just says Knox 0.
And does not have the knox app either. It now has PRIVATE MODE.
Note 3 has been rooted keeping Knox 0x0 with Towelroot app and a couple of tricks.
I dont see why Note 4 wont be rooted with the same method. We just need the right kernels

Towelroot
Towelroot doesn't work indeed. Sideloaded Kitkat from Sammobile and tried to root with CF-autoroot but alas, no root with that and a disappeared recovery. Tried Towelroot to no avail. Flashed Philz Recovery and UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94 . Now i've finally root.

Hello, I got a Note 4 that is unrooted, if I root my phone now I will trip my knox counter, does anyone know if there will be a knox counter reset like note 3 in the future? Or is it impossible to have knox counter reseter in the future? :crying::crying:
In short YES. As far as I know, there is no way of rooting the GN4 without tripping Knox. Doing so breaks the Knox environment. I don't think there is a counter resetting mechanism for it.

As mentioned many times before, it will trip KNOX And no way to reset.
If you are worried about KNOX you should not be rooting or changing roms etc.

N9005 KNOX is burned in by efuse and cannot be reverted. As long as you don't use KNOX features it's not interesting anyway. Mine is 0x1 since.... two days after I bought the phone.
Hello all
There is a lot of old threads about disabling KNOX on S5 but none disabling app dont work, I've tested a lot of them . Do we have hope for reset KNOX to 0x0? Are there any news about it? My phone is SM-G900F
You can't reset KNOX 0x1 to 0x0
Galaxy S5 Tapatalk
I think it's possible because lots of people were replying for disabling apps made by xda devs, it was working but usually for galaxy note users.

as far as i know... you can't reset knox... but i think you can root g900F and still 0x0...
No, there's no way to reset the Knox Warranty Bit counter back to 0x0. The reason is that Samsung uses an eFuse that burns itself permanently when it detects that a unsigned kernel/bootloader/recovery is installed on the device. As a security measure, Knox is disabled forever on said device (and any data encrypted by it will not be any longer retrievable). That is to keep data secured from exploits and root.
Hope that explains everything!

Actually it is still an ongoing debate whether it is software or an efuse just my 2 cents
No
