Download XXKPE flash files again
I think this has something to do with the XXKPE flash files..can you download the flash files again and try flashing..

+1 Try downloading the files again it could be because of corrupted files.

Ok, before you get into complexes, try this:
Since you can boot into recoveery, use Skin1980's ext4-conversion zip file. Put it into your SD card. Boot into recovery and choose "Install from zip file" in the menu. Navigate to the ext4-conversion .zip file on the SD card and select it. This will completely format your phone's data and system partitions to ext4.
Now, remember DO NOT REBOOT PHONE!!!
At this point you can either restore your Nandroid backup (provided you have an ext4 compatible CWM and have taken one.
Else, switch off the phone, reflash the firmware from scratch (.pit file, repartition and all).
Try this and tell me if it works.

i m not able to mount sd card in recovery, both internal and external!! so cant flash any zip.
I am also not able to format or mount /data!!!
The "sdcard" in CWM actually means your external SD card. Try reformatting that.
Use an ext4 compatible CWM, like the one for XXKPE and try again to mount anything. Run a total format/wipe using that CWM.
Even I couldn't mount "/data" and stuff when I ran through an entire experience of downgrading back to my original firmware for my phone from XXKPE with ext4 and CF-ROOT.
It all worked fine when I methodically when about solving the problems as such. Now I'm back up and running!

im running the newest cm11 nightly on a vs980 with TWRP 2.6.3.4 as my recovery
my phone should be supported correct? anyone successfully flash PAEK with this setup?
i'm using the unofficial CM11 for vs980 maintained by Gr33nD3vil and PAEK works great. I would suggest checking your MD5 of the file and reflashing it. You have to flash ROM->GAPPS->KERNAL->SU in that order.
I'm on TWRP 2.6.3.3
I cannot flash any kernel...I don't know why but none of the available kernels flash for me...I've tried switching recovery but still a no go...I've tried redownloading the kernel, still fails....I also can't flash the OSE ROM either...

Try the CWM 6.0.4.4... Flashify works for me... I've heard a bunch of people having flashing issues on TWRP 2.6.3.4... I switched to CWM and haven't had any flashing issues since.

Hello guys,
is there any solution for this? I have same issue
Thank you
Hi I followed the method here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45692679#post45692679
Unfortunately, the automatic rooting is not working, its say something see AUTOROOT MESSAGE BELOW . So I took the manual method but on Step 12:
12: adb shell "sync;mount -o remount,ro /system"
It says mount: Device or resource busy
So what should I do? Thanks

I tried various methods suggested and finally I can get back to the normal mode and can download flashing stock rom.
and these are the steps I did to get back to normal download mode works fine now, hope this works for you too
Download the laf.img file from here
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D802/Stock_Firmware/10b_EUR_16G_partitions
Code:
You need an OTG cable for this
Copy the file from the otg storage to your sdcard
Open twrp terminal and select the sdcard folder
Type this dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf
This will surely fix your download mode
Worked for me...
turn off the device after you make that step, vol up, connect the device to the PC after entering download mode as in the picture my case before him, press the power button a few times
and taraaaaa the device back to normal mode download
Please return your stock rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

I'm in a similar situation, no download mode.
D802 that works fine (tried both CM11 based and Stock based roms), I have recovery (TWRP), but I want to go back to 100% stock, and download mode is stuck in the splash screen, like in yours.
Now I could flash some of the zipped stock roms packed for recovery, but if for some reason my phone wouldn't boot, I wouldn't have download mode...
So I will stay in CM11 for now, because flashing something else is simply not safe.
Thanks

I was in the same condition.
I wanted to flash my stock KDZ but it was getting stuck at the initial logo of Download mode
You can fix your download mode by this method as the laf.img is the "Download mode" partition image
Since you are on CM11, you don't need an OTG cable, just copy it to your sdcard and run the command from your TWRP terminal
You will be able to flash KDZs and return back to stock...
same problem but I can not enter to recovery .hahaha bring it to lg service to change m/b.

I'm unfortunately again in a similar situation, and the proposed resolution won't be applicable.
So.. I went stock, but I wanted to try some other AOSP based roms again. I downloaded FreeGee, and with this new version, it didn't only mess my laf partition as expected, but it also didn't install any recovery (tried TWRP and CWM, of course; ending with some weird error message). So now I'm in rooted stock, with no download mode and no custom recovery mode (stock recovery works just fine).
Any ideas? I tried to run the command in OP from terminal emulator with SU permissions, and even tough i saw a success message at the end, it seems it doesn't really do the job.

Install flashify from playstore and flash a custom recovery
Then go in recovery and push the laf image through terminal

Hi all, hopefully today I bring good news, for you guys had the same as my previous loss
I tried various methods suggested and finally I can get back to the normal mode and can download flashing stock rom.
and these are the steps I did to get back to normal download mode works fine now, hope this works for you too
Download the laf.img file from here
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D802/Stock_Firmware/10b_EUR_16G_partitions
Code:
You need an OTG cable for this
Copy the file from the otg storage to your sdcard
Open twrp terminal and select the sdcard folder
Type this dd if=/sdcard/laf.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/laf
This will surely fix your download mode
