I have upgraded from the S4 to the S5. I rooted and was using titanium backup on my S4. Can I use that backup to restore to my new S5 that is not rooted? I realize that I won't be able to restore everything but was hoping to at least restore my apps and the settings for those apps. I wasn't sure if the s4 having kitkat 4.4.2 would be an issue with the S5 having 4.4.4. Thanks.
Will you kindly tell me actually which apps you want to restore..
Titanium back up needs root, so your s5 would have to be rooted to try.

Hey Everyone,
I just rooted my Galaxy S4 (4.4.2). I'm about to install TWRP, but i'm afraid i can't revert it. What would be the best way to Unroot my S4 and will unrooting remove my Custom Recovery?
Thanks
Question for the S4 pros here as I might be missing something.
I rooted my fiance's phone via Kingo Root on 4.3. I am looking to see if there is a way to have root and be able to flash a rom that has the same theme settings as the S5 with 4.4.2.
I personally have a Note 3 running a 4.4.2 rom that I can flash a S5 theme and she would like that for her phone.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ok for one I know I have Knox Bootloader as I have the 0x1 on the bootloader.
Other than that I am currently running 4.3 and not even sure what bootloader I have or how to check it anymore.
Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720
Baseband: L720VPUFNAE (so NAE modem)
So what steps do I need to do to upgrade from 4.3 to 4.4.2?
With NAE do I need to go back to Stock first or can I just update to NG2 Radio?
Is my Bootloader compatible all I know is it's Knox but not what version it is and not sure how to check.
I have made a full Titanium Backup and Online Nandroid Backup so I have all my backups prepared.
Here you go, just follow everything on the link and you should be up to date.

Hi, im wondering if anyone can help?
i have a rogers s5 900w8 on 4.4.2 rooted with towel root. i want to go to stock rogers 5.0 that just came out and root. im not concerned about tripping the counter if i can prevent that it would be nice.
my plan was to download the firmware and flash with odin since the ota will not work but i cant seem to find clear instructions on how to root 5.0.

Hi I'm on Telus g900w8 I had stock awhile ago. And then was on omega ROM after I rooted for months. I originally rooted using chainfires autoroot. I believe in superuser I just unrooted then flashed back to stock kitkat. Then once you download the the new version of stock and flash it will be back to normal. Then from there you just have to re root would be my guess.
I'm currently on Cyanogen mod 12 in the unified android development for the past month and its the Lollipop version. I prefer it over the Omega just because of lollipop seems smoother too. For our model you would use the gsm version (if you wanted to try it out). And I just used the stock kernel.
I had rooted my g900w8 about a month after I got it and tripped the Knox counter.
Hope this helps.

hi guys!
i am having samsung s5 g900h, i updated it to lollipop few months back n now i want to downgrade it to kitkat(too much battery drain issue), so i want to know is it safe to downgrade? any problems after downgrading? and what about knox it is 0x0 now will it get affected?
please give me procedure for downgrading and method to root it on kitkat (towelroot will work on kk?)
you should be fine, I updated to lollipop then downgraded back to kitkat easily, you just need to find the file you need for your model and odin that and it should work, for the knox, im not sure about it, but there might be a chance it will be reverted back to 0x0, but you will need to wipe your data in the recovery, or it might not boot at all, and for downgrade/root i use skipsoft android toolbox, it has all the items you would need to downgrade or install root if you want.
