I didn't try, but I pretty sure, that it has same issues like CM12

I tried Validus too. Good ROM. Although no Ambient Display is a killer.
I like the Dark settings app, but hate the icon and the boot animation.
Do you know when it'll be updated. Also, does ACIP have ambient display?

I just found this thread. Shouldn't it be in the development section? The Validus rom is great! And the boot animation reminds me of my Razr days! I love it.

Hello people,
So I tried both of the afore mentioned ROMs.
1st - Validus
- Somewhat stable build.
- No Ambient Display.
- A different settings icon, and theme (dark).
- Some nifty features like (taken from other ROMs)
+Network Speed
+Change navigation bar height
+List view animations
+System animation control
+Viper sound control.
- Freaky boot animation.
2nd - AICP
- Won't really call it a stable build.
- No ambient display.
- A few nifty features? Well there aren't many. Or any.
- Everything is almost like CM12.
- Cool boot animation.
That's it folks!
None of them have Ambient Display, so I'm back to cm12 now. @St.Noigel can you pls keep us updated with any further updates on these two ROMs?

Well honestly, I didn't really try youtube, WhatsApp or phones calls to report any such bugs... But if they were in CM builds before 23 Nov, they will be in both of them too
+ No ambient display is a big enough bug for me to not chose these Roms as a DD

On it !!
Edit :
+ => very fast , smooth and light (something like 10 apps and no gapps) / cool bootanim and fonts / close to the slimroms / free ram and omniswitch
- => miss some tweaks and translations (of course) / ad blocking / apn (data) / 2 or 3 more little things
Good work ! for a first release , it's very impressive and interresting !
Keeping an eye on it !

I have flashed the rom on a S4 mini gt-i9195 with stockrom 4.2.2. The Validus rom looks great and works also good exept for some reason the broadband got wiped or the rom couldn't see it, so I had a phone that worked with wifi but I couldn't make calls because the service was not installed. @martinusbe made this rom for me but we cant figure that broadband issue

I don't know about a thread in development yet since i don't have the device.
Going to see after 6.2 is released.
p.s. Could you give @Wim N a hand, this is the first time he flashed a rom on his device, and the baseband seems to have gone missing.
Maybe something is wrong in the rooting/recovery....

I have used another ROM for my 9192 which is pretty stable and good. That is C _ROM link below. This was found in a post of a cyanogen forum posted by alexax66. So credit goes to him and other persons behind the scene and c-rom guys. This ROM is on 4.4.2 and has plenty of features and supports otg via f4k kernel.

Great ROM! Only feature request would be the option to move the Clear All in Recents to the bottom. Like having buttons in the same general area.
And any other lack of feedback just points to it being a solid ROM.

Every link in the OP that I've clicked so far are all dead. Even the link to your homepage doesn't work.
CRDroid consistently puts out some of the most exciting AOSP based ROM's (OP doesn't mention this).
But then I've noticed on other phones that support goes away fast. ROM development stops and you guys move on to other devices instead?
I for one am VERY interested to flash CRdroid on my Tab S 8.4 T705 if you put something out for it.

Edit: I guess it doesn't matter. Looks like CRDroid team is ending the team and development.

GZOSP - AIO thread

GZOSP - AIO
Ground Zero Open Source Project
What it is
- GZOSP is our 8.0 base we use for other projects, e.g. Validus
Not much features will be added, only basics and aosp patches will be merged.
It's open source and buildable for anyone, builds from it already started popping up, so we decided to allow it
and to avoid the constant pm's with build questions we decided to create this thread, so maybe people will
help each other some.
Isn't that a novel idea :fingers-crossed:
What is this thread
- The place for: questions about GZOSP, GZOSP builds, GZOSP unofficial builds, GZOSP build questions,
GZOSP issue reports, GZOSP requests, GZOSP anything...
We will not be creating device threads for GZOSP ourselves since it is our base for Validus, for now.
-(Maintainers and unofficial builders are allowed to do whatever they want with GZOSP builds however).-
But since some people like that pure aosp feeling, we will post builds when things get added/updated in here now.
No plans for Tesla & Tipsy yet, but since those were born out of boredom at the end of a Validus Android cycle
anything can happen when we get bored again
- If reporting issues state what device since this is an AIO thread
- When asking for help in build issues, link your trees on github, paste errors on hastebin, give as much info as you can...
Look at some of our devices first for build errors & stuff
Build command= make gzosp -jx
Gerrit code review: https://review.gzospgzr.com
Project GitHub: https://github.com/GZOSP
Devices: https://github.com/GZOSP-Devices
I will reserve a few posts here to fill with links to builds
That's all for now, this will probably be edited later

OK I really like the ROM, but I can't get mobile data to work on it. I have tried different firmwares, OB21 and 24, different kernels and everything I can think of, but it doesn't work. I have t mobile US. I have tried it with every build released. Thanks for the ROM tho
Edit:removed the quote. Sorry

Clean flash 24 build microgapps from fraps129 i dont think it was present in 1st build but last two im having this problem could it be my subs theme causing it? Tried a few always Oreo options Thanks

Since we are still waiting for Oreo commits from the substratum team, always try without a theme first

Thx basically what im asking is that behavior something that a theme could cause. As the only other mod ive made is enabled soft keys via build.prop
OP3 build 25/9
For a better fingerprint recognize we have to wait for op to release thier Oreo build am I right?
Anyone is using the always on ambient display? Would love to use it but I'm afraid about a burn in
Oh, look, a nice shiny new thread! Thank you! @martinusbe
@martinusbe is burn in protection active? I saw the screen for op5 that kernel was 4.x, will op3 have also 4.x kernel?

What about battery ? Pie ROMs especially with 4.4 kernel seems to have very high battery drain.
@greatcoder
I put the firmware only for screenshots.
Other users gave feedback about low battery consumption, excellent sound, large customization settings.

It turned out that I was a little wrong.
Through the efforts of users on 4pda, the author has released a firmware update with fixes.
1. New kernel from AOSiP v 4.4.171
2. Fixed incorrect display of charge information on lockscreen when charging from USB port
3. Added display of the phone number to the subscriber who made the call
4. Slightly improved the stock dialer
5. Enabled call recording
6. Fixed determination of MTP mode
Not fixed:
- missing sound sms, it is recommended to replace the stock application with google sms app.

Bro there was status bar and nav bar issue in landscape mode in previous version ... Can you please confirm that is it fixed now or not
IDK
I have not met on 4pda posts on this issue. About the latest build users write that everything works as it should.
ps Sorry, but I myself do not use this firmware, as well as Zuk itself. My main phone is Nubia Z17S.
Good news again!
Update crDroid v5.1 Kernel 4.4 Pie 9.x Treble by SubhrajyotiSen
Important:
• Dev made this build like other ROM's developers make now their new builds with change vendor as factory
• So, before flash it, you need to flash vendor2factory.zip + new factory TWRP & then flash new crDroid build if you used Treble ROM with vendor partition
• Those users who came from ZUI, isn't necessary flash v2f file, just flash new TWRP
Changelog:
• Dev bring back Lineage kernel 4.4.153
• Offline charging works
• Stock sms app notification sound fixed
• Fixed mic & speaker volume
• Both speakers music play in removed
• Maybe something else...
Bugs:
• Network indicators still doesn't show up in statusbar
