Hi there, I see there is a dual sim version of the s5. Is it possible to route this and put a custom rom on it like a normal s5 or would it be missing the dual sim function? Thank you.
(A general answer on dual sim phones and custom roms would be useful as HTC also have some dual sims)

Hi all, got a new i9502 dual sim.
So I have no issues installing roms, rooting or google play store. All that stuff works fine but no matter what I try the second sim slot is not working. I have tried official and custom roms as well as different sim cards.
any ideas?
Appreciate it.
Hi,
Did you solve your problem with the 2nd SIM slot?
If not, maybe you have flashed a custom ROM designed for i9500... they're reported to work just fine on the i9502, but since there's no 2nd SIM slot on the i9500, you can't use the 2nd SIM on your i9502 with those ROMs.
2nd SIM doesnt work

Hi, I have the same problem with the SIM 2. And my ROM is for i9502, not for i9500. The options to the 2nd SIM are there, but the SIM is nor recognized.
Did anybody had this problem and found any solution?
Regards
hi guys
I have a question about dual sim mod, my phone have only one sim card .
can me mod to dual sim?
No.. ROM is same for single or dual sim.. what makes a difference is hardware..
Why didn't you just buy dual sim version if you're interested?
Maybe a N00B question but is it possible to enable dual SIM functionality on the G5 Plus US version by changing firmware?

It's a hardware, if the US version supports only single SIM then you can't flash another firmware from a dual SIM variant to get the functionality.
If your device has just one SIM slot, then you can't add another just like that. But then again, there's also a possibility to swap the SIM card reader module from a dual SIM variant to the single SIM one but there may be some downsides to it like the size difference of the modules, possibility of a slightly different connector and what not. I haven't tried this but it may or may not work.
Hi everyone!
I have a Samsung S20 5G, (SM-G981W), with the Snapdragon 865 chipset, that I need to set up dual SIMs. I know that I need to get an eSIM for my primary line, but I can't find the settings on the stock ROM. Can I run dual SIM's on the stock ROM or do I need a custom ROM?
Thanks!
zog
(EDIT) I forgot to mention that there is no "SIM Card Manager under "Connections" in the settings menu.
Hey good day all, i have a question. Can i flash my S10 Plus SM-G975U1 and enable Dual Sim. I allready bought a Dual Sim Tray for the phone. Please let me know if this is possible.
If it's a single sim phone then NO
Converting a single sim to a dual sim is a bit more complicated then flashing firmware.
+ single/dual sim firmware are the same firmware.
