It is possible to flash" i9502-cwm-recovery.tar.md5" and then install "YourZgappsXS-4.2.2-2013.05.15" then you have Play Store
works but the Gmail account no works.

Yesterday i've flashed I9502ZNUEMK2 through ODIN.
I couldn't find a way to rrot, in fact, the problem i guess it was the Knox.
I flashed back to I9502ZNUCMG2 thorugh ODIN and flashed the SVA 2.5 in TWRP.
I'll try again later. With no root it's useless, i can't get gapps and change the samsung apps.

Hi Zebster,
I have all the Apps from Play Store, and they all function, only problem is the mails sometimes they stops,I know , without root is this phone not perfect.
Is there anybody who has a good connection to the chainfire?

I manage to get it rooted from the link above, however this above chinese program does not install CWM so we can install google play and other stuff?
Any help will be good, or any way to flash CWM is appericated

Try to flash the custom recovery TWRP 2.6.3.1 for I9500
and by recovery when you reboot, it ask you if you want to root, so you can root it, but, the 4.3 is not without mistakes, not all the apps function, but try it maybe you find other possibility to make better.

Could not agree more, 4.3 is not stable at all, and if you upgrade , downgrade is NOT POSSIBLE .. all guys must take care here. i have also notice all attempts to put CWM would crropt the system and you will end up getting upgrade error on your i9502 screen. the only way to revive it again is to reflash 4.3 again.
Are you sure TWRP 2.6.3.1 for I9500 does work with I9502 4.3 rootted ?
Is it possible to flash google play 4.2.2 or there is another version available for 4.3 ?

Yes you are right, it is not possible to turn back to FW 4.2.2
and I tried again to root with TWRP2.6.3.1 but it was no possible, I think I had luck one time, but anyway this rom 4.3 is not perfect, many apps like Copilot, SwiftKey Keyboard and more... are no working, I hope they make update soon and someone find a root...

Hello, I tried your method but still can not get Google Apps to work, It keeps crashing ...
I also have a message about UID not beeig coherent on which I can click "I feel lucky"
Will be trying again with YourZgapps for 4.3 and anoter Recovery

Hi, you don't have all language, but after root you install from Play store the app"Language Enabler and you will have all the language.
The Stock rom, you can have from Sammobile, you must register and download.

Thanks alot did all the step, however the main problem is Samsung chinese IME keyboard, that keyboard does not support arabic language. all my attemps of installing another rom have failed the i9502 does not accept any other country rom except china!
Also flashing samsung IME keyboard.ZIP does not overwrite chinese keyboard or install samsung IME keyboard,
Any guidance will be appericated.

Not really yet, the only way out is to manage to downgrade to 4.2.2 then install sva 2.5, but even downgrade is a chellange.

I got a i9502 from etota**, got 4.3 and it's rooted but it's done bad. Gapps gots error all the time but the main problem is NFC does not turn on. I replace the battery but it not help. I think its caused by a bad root, but reflashing to stock 4.3 and then to SV* Rom do not help.
Second problem battery drains very quicky, 2-3 % when not using, 2 sims working, 1 google account.

well, you can't simply flash google rom on any other variant of galaxy s4 than GT-I9505
as i know google rom is only support GT-i9505 and GE model of s4 and you can't flash this rom on other variant since it have different chipset
go to option and see your device model
Go to specify android development section to get rom for your device

thanks guys, it's solved, the installation was failing due to dont allow old binary update was checked
Hi everyone. I was using my phone with stock rom for a while ans I wanted to pass to Miui cuz I heard 4.4.2 will be released soon.
I downloaded TWRP and tried to flash as I did everytime before with Odin. I flashed it and it rebooted, odin showed Pass with no errors, but when I tried to launch the recovery, it is still stock. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I flashed it like this before and they always worked but this is not working. Is there another way to install this? I don't have root access but it wasn't an issue before. I have the usb drivers installed and debugging on. It was tricky to install drivers on Win 8.1 but it seems like installed correctly as it didn't showed an error.
Waiting for an answer please. I hate this exynos phone but my parents just not allowing me to sell this.

I tried installing Miui in the stock rom but it didn't work. Perhaps the last updates did something? Cuz I was able to do this with ease. Maybe downgrading to the first stock 4.4.2 will work but it takes a lot of time and I'm sick of this. Thanks anyway, I'll boost your thanks meter by one more for trying to help

The rom you are currently on has nothing to do with your inability to flash the recovery. It's a completely different thing.
Uncheck auto-reboot before you flash the recovery. That should probably fix it.

By default it will not delete data using Mobile ODIN, But it's good to do hard reset if you upgrade to Lillipop.
For rooting Lillipop by keeping Knox 0x0 you can use MOP.

Remove your battery for 2 minutes, then turn it on into Recovery mode, clear cache and reboot again.
If still issue is present then again go into recovery and wipe data.

I'm having a hard time installing new rom. Everytime i flash a rom it doesnt boot up and just stuck on the samsung text. I waited for almost an hour and a half but it doesnt really boot. :crying:

Are you sure it is a GT-I9505? Boot into download mode to be 100% sure it is.

i got pf4 modem same as my bootloader.
i got the stock rom when i bought it and i installed imperium kernel because my wifi wont work when i restore it.
Try this.
BACKUP YOUR FILES, DATA ETC. from your internal memory on to your sdcard.
Remove your sdcard.
Get a different sdcard 2-4gb
Download your new rom again and copy it to your 2-4gb sdcard.
Format everything (cache, dalvik, data, system, boot etc.) in your mobile through the recovery.
When finished, use FORMAT TO A CLEAN INSTALL
Put your sdcard with the rom to install in to the mobile phone.
Install your rom.
When installation finishes stay in the recovery menu.
Do a FACTORY RESET through the recovery.
Take your sdcard out.
Reboot.
Try it and let me know.
