[Q] Hide sensitive notification content: Can't select which apps are "sensitive".
I'm confused about the notification setting for when device is locked.
It seems like I can only designate apps as sensitive when this is set to 'Show all notification content'.

If I set it to 'Hide sensitive notification content', I am no longer allowed to set an app to sensitive. The option just disappears. Apps that I've previously set to not sensitive no longer show their notification content.
Am I just using this wrong? Should I just keep it set to show all, and mark sensitive apps as sensitive from there?

Hi,
I'd like to know if it's actually default google now behaviour or not. When ever weather cards / traffic updates show up, I only get to know about it if i pull down the notification panel. No icon (the car and the cloud) appears on the status bar. Is there any way to enable this? I notice it appearing only when I select it via the halo (Nexus 4 - ParanoidAndroid / CrDroid] Is it like this for everyone?
Thanks.

I'm specifically speaking about these kind of notification icons. They never appear!

Wouldn't you want a robot widget too? Comes in two sizes too
Coloured in all black coz I'm lazy. You can recolour them easily. Thanks to the grouped attribute pasting option heh.
Time indicator is tap-able (mine launches Alarm Clock Plus). Battery indicator too (I use GSam battery). Please change these. To avoid accident taps to the editor, disable launch in the main editor's screen.

Tell me what d'you think!
Anybody figured out how to view your past or accidentally lost notifications? On other phones you would make a settings shortcut widget for notification history but I don't see that option on this phone. Help?
Late reply i know but i was able to get notification log open on my ZTE Axon 7
First you need Nova Launcher (or something that allows you to shortcut "activities")
Create a widget
Select "Activities" under the nova launcher section and drag it to your home screen
another window will popup, scroll down to Settings
then scroll down to "Notification Log"
and it should look something like this when you open it
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
In case you don't know, this is a toast notification.

I'm using stock ROM v338. I have a bunch of apps that show me toast notifications occasionally during the day. I've noticed that whenever I have the keyboard open, the toast notifications are hidden behind the keyboard. So I'm unable to view the toast notifications when the keyboard is open & totally miss them. I have an old phone running Nougat & can confirm that this isn't the behavior in that, toast notifications are always shown above keyboard in Nougat.
Can anyone else confirm? I'm not sure if this is an Oreo thing or some bug either within the ROM or due to my setup.
Edited:
Solved by turn off "Ambient Display" in Hovoc Settings.
There's someone's replicated thread but without help: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6t/help/youtube-notification-screen-off-t3919908
I exactly have the same problem, I called them "Notification Preview".
I want the notifications to be shown while the screen is ON, but they come out automatically while the screen is OFF.

Especially when Titanium Backup is running, every time it refreshes the notification (Backup Progress), it shows up.
Note: The notifications preview happens under Screen Off status, so when I press Power Button once, the phone enters Lockscreen.
Please help me, this is extremely annoying...
