I have a problem with my Wi-fi Radio, not the normal "cannot get Wi-Fi Switched on" or "connects to AP but gets no IP" but something quite more serious.
I removed all AP settings from Wi-Fi Settings, so it is as if there was no AP installed before on the wizard. Then after switching on the Wi-Fi the Wi-Fi icon appears at the top of the screen with the tower and it's circle around it and the 2 arrows running from side to side. Then the wizard goes beep and shows another tower next to it (meaning that it got a AP) I enter the passkey for my AP and then it starts to connect.....only it doesn't connect it says in WI-Fi settings "Connecting" and then says "Unavailable" after about 6s
This only started about a week ago and happens with different AP's with security enabled and disabled, and different Roms (mUn aRTM and Core2n) as well
Yesterday I had it connect once to the AP whilest on charge and Wi-Fi on but after removing the charger and the wizard went into standby I could not get the Wi-Fi to connect again....
If anyone (with Working Wi-Fi) would be so kind as to give me an Reg Export of the [HKLM\Comm\TNETWLN1] key so that I can get mine back to standard. (I've tried every regedit known to man to fix this and not sure I put everything back the way it was)
Does anyone else have or had this problem??
Oh Well
Oh Well,
It looks like a faulty radio afterall, Took a friend's Wizard installed the same ROM and it connects without problems...
I guess that the money spent on the AP is now wasted since the Wizard was 90% reason why I bought the AP at home...
This is a first time for this issue for me; my Wifi is scanning, but not connecting.
The settings look fine, I re-inputted the network passkey just to make sure, but it just doesn't connect...it just says scanning, though my home network is in the list.
My laptop can connect just fine as you can tell, I'm posting from it.
Can someone help?
Tried rebooting your modem/router?
I have this a lot of times waking up after sleep (I have the WiFi set to turn-off when the screen goes off)
Turn off then on the WiFi (wait a few seconds in between) resolves it.
(there are apps in the market where you can do this with a simple button press)
Well...I did reboot the router but had to go to work before I checked but it has to be the router...
I can connect just fine at work...
thanks for the suggestions...I'm glad it's working.
Hi all
I've been running CM 10.2 for a while and had no problems with it, but wanted to upgrade to Kit Kat so I flashed CM 11 via the Installer apk. Everything works great except I'm finding that if I go out of WiFi range and the phone falls back to 3G data, it won't reconnect to WiFi when I come back within range (e.g. when I get home from being out). Further details:
- manually reconnecting through settings DOESN'T work... it sees the networks but hitting 'connect' does nothing
- disabling the modem entirely via flight mode and then re-enabling DOES work... WiFi reconnects automatically
- the phone WILL reconnect by itself without flight mode but only after quite a long while
Anyone else experienced this behaviour and know of a fix?
Thanks!
Strange wifi behavior.. I can connect to wifi APs that have been previously stored on my phone just fine when I am in range... But I have 2 problems:
1. New APs (open/secured) will not show up as an available network (annoying when traveling or going new places). Will not connect to new APs even when adding one manually via "Add wifi network".
2. Once connected to a stored AP, when I am around multiple of these stored APs (several routers in my house), no other available networks are shown besides the currently connected one (even if I place the phone on top of a second router the phone will not show it as available). In order to switch to a new AP, I have to turn off and then back on the wifi on the phone and then most of the times it will connect to the strongest signal AP (while again showing no others available). Other times though, even with the phone physically sitting on top of a new AP, cycling the the wifi on the phone doesn't work to switch to this closest AP and I will have to unplug the further away wifi AP, cycle the phone's wifi, and THEN it will connect to the closest AP I wanted to switch to. !?
Note: while phone is connected to a wifi AP, it runs smooth as butter, no issues and the connection is strong. I have tried looking online following various obvious steps, playing with wifi settings, and even dirty flashing my current rom again to try to get fresh wifi functionality (although the wifi APs were not deleted by this so wifi settings must still exist somewhere else.. not sure just trying anything that doesn't involve a full data wipe).
Any ideas how I can restore seeing all available networks once again (stored or not) on my phone's main wifi list? Thanks!

Still seems more stable than most other roms (minus this little wifi thing I think I did messing around with app permissions a little while back). Any ideas how to fix this wifi issue or can you recommended a non-outdated rom similar in concept? Thanks again.
Hi all,
I noticed a weird problem after I installed the latest Marshmallow update on my N910F. The WiFi will not connect as soon as I'm in range anymore, but it will connect immediately when I switch on the display.
I noticed the behavior because I configured a Tasker task that will wake up my PC as soon as I connect to my home WiFi. The last two days I noticed my PC was off when I came home so I switched on my phone and saw that the WiFi was not connected, I was home for 10-15 Minutes. A view seconds later after I switched on the display WiFi started to connect (and my PC also woke up because of my Tasker task).
Once the WiFi connection is established it will stay stable - I checked my router logs, so turning off the display will not disconnect the WiFi. Of course I set my WiFi to stay connected in standby.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
I was having issue not this kind but whenever i diconnect to my wifi and then again teconnect it again it takes time to surfing the internet about 2 minutes.when i open browser and any site it first shows connection time out then i have to wait 1-2 minutes then it loads the site.i dont know i have noticed new settings under development setting there is network setting in there there are lots of option.one option is connect to lollipop dhcp .i tried to check and uncheck that also but didnt work out.

Today it did not switch on my display when I came home but waited to see how long it would take my Note 4 to connect to my WiFi. After 25 Minutes it connected. I wonder if this is some "doze" feature.
