Why when using mxplayer which I have just installed on my new N7 do I get a banner advert asking me to Try Google Chrome! along the top when I pause a film?...i already have Google Chrome by default!
It's just an ad...the app (or code generating the ad) doesn't scan your device to see what programs are installed.

Did you install MX Player (free version with ads) or MX Player Pro (paid version without ads). Sounds like you might have installed the free version.
Hi,
Is it possible to turn one app for offline mode ? Like in Airplane mode. Games uses my mobile data, so I want to make them offline, but I want to have running messengers. Change permissions of games makes them FC.
Any ideas what i can to do??
How about paid\leaked games?
I play only free games and they send/receive a lot of rubbish(adverts or who knows).
I removed permissions by Lucky Patcher not CM app and game works

you can also use an app called "DroidWall" its a firewall app that let you choose which apps will have access to mobile data or wifi independently...
Thanks a lot. I think it is better option than change all apk
What apps do you use the most on your Note 3..
File Manager
Terminal Emulator
Backup
etc
Well I'll tell you from the ones I have not freezed and aren't vital for the phone (sorry Samsung, too much crap) and the ones I've installed:
Pre installed:
All Google play apps
SNote
Sketchbook
S health
Action memo
(I just love this pen man hahaha)
Installed:
(I usually use combos for a task)
Entertainment: Smart IR Remote
Productivity: Quick office + Drive
News: Feedly + Pocket
To Do's: Wunderlist + Evernote
Units: XE Currency + Convert It!
Photo: Procapture + Snapseed
Math: Myscript Calculator + MyCalc
CCCCOMBO BREAKER:
Root:
Seeder: Reduce lag
Greenify: Extend battery life
Pen window manager: Add more apps to pen window
AdBlock Plus: as if explanation was needed.
Xposed+Wanam: edit the framework.
WifiKill: remove people from the internet hahaha.
those are the essentials for the best productivity. Just my two cents

ES File Explorer. Stock file manager doesn't remember scroll position, which is far from amusing if you have 2648 files to review in one folder.
Diceplayer + VLC + MX Player. If one can't run it, the rest can.
Firefox+Adblock plus +quit. Ahhhhh, no ads!
Sketchbook (pre-installed). I bought it for my previous phone, which is now making my wallet a bit irritated.
Zooper Widget. Best. Widget. Ever.
Procapture+Snapseed. That stock camera is a nightmare once you get used to a DSLR. What do you mean, there is no manual mode?!!
Smart IR Remote. Because WatchON keeps running in the background, only works on a tv, is meant for US users, and the puns were getting a little detrimental to my continued existence. (Mate of mine is called Alan Watson. :silly: )
Moon+ reader. Best Ereader app, by far. (I don't do DRM, sod off Google Play Books.)
Perfect Viewer+pdf plugin. This screen is great for reading comics!
MapsWithMe Pro. No irritating location services demands, no overobsessive americans logging every step you take, no powerhungry background processes that keep running, and best of all: no roaming! Plus literally everything is on there, even individual trees and powerlines. Also, it has maps of Europe that are not 12 years old!
EWeather HD. Finally, one with a European weatherprovider! I got a little tired of New York telling me the weather in Rotterdam: "it will be a sunny something-fahrenheit today!" Except for the bit where it rains cats and dogs, and we don't use fahrenheit.
Quickpic. Obvious.
Officesuite Pro. Again, obvious.
Realcalc. Smart Tools. Unit Converter Plus. Swiftkey.
That should be it.

Do you have to be rooted for Greenify?
Also, some apps I love:
Sketchbook, although I am not a great artist.
Asphalt 8
Contacts (yep, I love the contacts on the Note 3)
Dropbox

How did you get Seeder to work? I got the "An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system in your device" and this on a rooted Note 3. Greenify and any other rooted module or app I use works fine but I can't get Seeder to run without this error.

anyone got a good adblocker to recommend?
preferably via host file ^^
Particularly twitch -- on my old G3, I had Adaway, and it did an amazing job of blocking all ads from twitch, but now it seems that without reliable root (I know we just found root for the OG Pixel Verizon) there isn't a good one that covers all the bases.
Twitch is pretty ruthless with their ads, multiple times lately I've been in the middle of action watching PUBG and bam -- 6 ads pop up. Their algorithm is stupid that it doesn't control for activity or let the broadcaster play ads during downtime.
Does anyone have a good method of blocking Twitch ads and generally other ads? I don't like how Adguard makes you use those weird-as-**** web browsers, I wanna just use Chrome...
Blokada.org
Have you tried the Samsung browser. It has support for third party add ons like adguard content blocker and a ton of other great features like night mode and private mode with passcode.
Adguard is the best non-root adblocker out there.

Just tested it and it blocks ad only while browsing, not in apps, correct? If that's the case, Blokada is e better option for me.

I just tried this as well, and it only works with 'Yadex Browser' and 'Samsung Internet Browser'
I don't want to be using a different browser as I like Chrome.
Are there any non-root adblockers that work with Chrome?

when you install it - as part of the setup, it asks you to choose a browser - saying only 2 are compatible and asks you to install one. it won't get through the setup without installing on.
I've just chosen AdGuard from Google Play Store - is this the right one?

No, here is the app in question below. I doubt it's even uploaded in the play store just like Blokada.

Google bans all the full working ad blockers from the store. So any that you get or test will have to come straight from the developer.

Not true,it's works on Firefox, chrome, Microsoft edge Opera and app adds on your phone
Download app from website and go to settings and pick your filters
DNS66 works a treat...
Are there any that work on the facebook app? I still get ads in the middle of videos.
Is it safe to run Blokada and DNS66 together or will they fight each other?
Disregard - answered my own question.
I bought a cheap VPS server on OVH and install PiHole on it. Then I set up my WiFi router with the PiHole DNS. It brilliantly blocks ads at home.
I don't use those local VPN adblockers as they use a lot of battery.

Want to fix Google Cloud Messaging ports(GCM):
-> Removing any all Amazon's bloatware.
-> Using Xposed or Magisk modules to fix GCM ports.
-> Install a custom ROM to your Fire tablet like LineageOS.
-> Install a full Google API services APKs (Google API services' version is same as Android version).

I used the fire tools in XDA to remove most Amazons bloatware, except for Amazon shop and the app store to update Play store uninstallable apps like Netflix, Disney+, etc..
I installed the Play Store and Google Assistant, etc.. using the same tool. Where can I find the full google API services? Thanks!
