Can you help me to root my phone using philz touch as I am battling to get it right.
Once I load it and the phone reboots I can't get into the recovery mode.
How are you installing Philz ???RECOVERY .
Is your phone ROOTED ??
Both cwm and philz recovery are at the end of life and further updates are unlikely .

Root for Jelly Bean 4.3 (GT-I9300I)
Use Towel Root v1: http://www.filedropper.com/tr_3
Only version 1 is known to work, so use the link provided to download. The version from the official site don´t work.
Please folow the easy steps below to root:
1 - Install tr.apk, run it and click "Make it ra1n" and wait for phone to reboot;
2 - Download Super SU zip file from the link below, extract it, copy Superuser.apk from "Common" folder to your phone, and install:

3 - Run Super SU, confirm the binary update and choose the NORMAL method.
4 - Reboot your phone.
5 - DONE!

I have a problem rooting my phone (Galaxy s3 neo i9300i)....... Please help me....
I have followed the steps you've said above, But my android version is 4.4...
Now I see that my phone not rooted yet...
But I can go into recovery while switching on my phone.....
I tried to follow the 4.4 rooting as you've mentioned in another post....,
But I was unable to connect my phone to Odin..... when I press home+power+main buttons it goes into recovery.... I tried several times...

Update your version from Play Store and try to update the binary.

You cannot use another phones models rom on your phone
You would need to port the rom to your phone
I tried Same But problems are there.

Flash stock rom via odin - see my firmware thread - link in my signature for my threads then it's under firmware section & select correct firmware thread for your device although I only have b5510
I would suggest getting the correct firmware from sammobile.com as I don't know if the b5512 is just a regional variant or uses different firmware
Remember you can't flash other devices roms - you have to correctly port them

I am using carbon v1.4 works great. I have already flashed compact kernel. But the thing is my gt-b5512 goes low on battery in about 6 hrs with internet connection. I also have installed prevent running bcz gingerbread doesnt support greenify. So, i want to ask if u guys have the same problem? or should i try the hatyon rom? replay ASAP!

Backup with Titanium to internal storage. Clear the data and cache, restore. This should fix the external card issue, assuming your sdcard is not corrupt then you would need to re-format it.

HI ALL, IM using this rom on my 910h variant of the note 4 with no issues so far, SD card works, 3 mint mod, works, volume boost works. The rom is fast and smooth, the only thing not working at the moment the 4 power menu. I hope this helps some of you.

Hello guys, my question is whether we need to update bootloader and modem in order to flash Masik Lollipop before actually moving to lollipop. In other words do i have to flash bootloader and modem while being in 4.4.4 stock or i can do it after flashing the rom itself? Ty in advance

I`m stuck on the Smasung Note 4 screen and nothing happens.
I diid clean install with full wipes of everything, but still no success.
Tried 4 times with different options....
realy want to try this rom but can`t.

I a new to this, because just ordered a Note 4 (N910C) which I will be receiving tomorrow, until now I did not know, that it was possible to get it Rooted ?

I had the same issue but only when I tried to flash the masik rom from a Stok rom, so my solution was install first any other lollipop custom rom and after a successful boot, back to recovery and install the Masik rom

I just flashed the stock rooted lollipop 5.0 rom to my galaxy s5 smg870 a and kept root I like the rom but how do I get a recovery since safestrap is out of the question I just want to be able to boot into recovery. I also would like to have the option to boot into recovery or reboot menu when pressing the power button instead of just seeing the restart or power down button any help would be greatly appreciated

i installed the recovery and its perfect except one problem i cant use to "power + home + volume up" to go in recovery i have to use applications to enter recovery.

Had been replace my stock recovery to TWRP using flashify
When installing aroma it does feel a little bit laggy but no problem at all.
All function is normal.
Since i have trouble on installing PhilZ Touch then your TWRP is like The rising sun on dark planet haha

everything seems to work except MTP (yes I did see in the op's description) and mount usb storage (NOT usb-otg).
