Battery charger help

Hi
I have a HTC wizard (in fact its a Tmobile MDA vario but what's the difference)
the battery is completely flat and since I've lost the charger i can't recharge the battery. the battery it came with is a 1250mah battery and I cant find a charger which outputs this charge. I ordered an 'official' HTC one from a website in the UK and the output is only 400mAh. Needless to say it doesn't charge the phone
Does anyone know of a manufacturer or supplier that can provide this kind of charger
thanks
Andy
Easy solution is plug the cable into a pc's USB port, job done, if you still want details, I can get it off my charger later, but all readily available on ebay.
Cheers.
it doesnt work when you just use a USB cable cos the battery is completely flat. The charge from the PC isnt enough to charge a flat battery

Battery charger

I received my HD yesterday and did what it says in the book: charge the battery right away. Within a few hours the battery was fully charged. So far so good.
But much later in the day after heavy use of the phone, the battery was again drained and when I attempted to recharge it the charger simply would not work.
Has anyone encountered problems with the charger?
Im sending the phone back to the supplier Play.com

Maybe you just need a new battery....ofcourse if you don't mind the wait..send it back for a whole new unit. New batteries can be funny. Its best to leave it charging even though it says its fully charged. Let it charge for more than an hour after it says its full on a brand new battery. Battery performance will get better after a week of charging.
Dont think battery is at fault
Thanks for reply utvol06.
Dont think the battery is at fault. When I connect the phone to my PC the battery charges OK.
Johannes.
I had same prob....
Make sure the 3 pin adapter is FULLY pushed into the charger and try again
Fully clicked into place
Yes it is fully clicked ito place. No luck.
Sounds like the charger is banjaxed
I had the same but by resetting (i.e. unplugging & replugging) the 3 pin adapter from the charger fixed it.
I would send it back
Hi!
I sent my charger back to Clove and they will send a replacement.
USB connector to charger was wobbly.. and I had apply traction to the cable to make the contacts work.
I tried a different cable in the charger and also tried the charger in my Kaiser.
Conclusion, USB connection on charger unit was duff.

Hd Battery Charging between 60 to 70 %

Hi everyone,
I've a brand new touch Hd (november 2008). Few days ago I report a problem charging the battery with the stock charger. The charge doesn't stop (always amber light and no green light of completed charge) the battery percentage stuck between 60 to 70 %. Only with the stock adapter. If I charge battery with another adapter (example with an original Apple usb ipod charger, with same specs) or with usb cable connected on pc the charging stop correctly. Another fact if I connect stock charger to the phone when it was at 100% battery charge, it dosn't start charging and no amber/green light appear.
Any clues?
Thanks a lot a excuse my poor english
Duff charger?

I think no because it charges the battery for the 60 % in my hd, and if I connect another device (an mp3 player or another phone) to the charger it charges correctly.
soft rest the device and try again

I wasn't impressed at all with my charger
after a while the usb socket didn't hold the cable tight so I had to wiggle the cable till it kicked in and started charging
changed to a usb socket-ed charger with the supplied cable
and now all's fine
Sounds very much like a bad charger.
I had this on a Tytn with the supplied charger. I had bought two extra ones for the office and the study and both of these were fine. It was too expensive to send the charger back for repair so I just stuffed it in the cupboard and used a USB charger.
Ok, thanks so much for replies. Now I'm thinking to sell my hd without the original charger.
Bye

Htc Apache: Dead?

This phone was used a few years ago and I now wish to give it to my girlfriend. When the phones were in use, they began to reveal some problems. Not connecting to ANYTHING, not even a usb charger of any type (over 10 diffrent cables). I recently bought a cradle and charged the battery until it was full. I plug it into the Apache...nothing. I remove the battery and plug it into 3 different usb ports, hoping i would see a red light (an ac charger, a wall charger, and a standard mini usb cord). Nothing either, so I know it isnt the battery, but the Apache itself?

JASJAR charging time

Hi. Got my hands on slightly used JASJAR and I was just wondering how long does it usually need to fully charge using USB and wall charger.
I left it overnight on the wall charger (which I doubt is an genuine one) and for 6-7 hours it charged to about 60-70%. The second time I connected it on my desktop USB 2.0 port but the result was same.
The battery seems to last OK, there are no sudden dropdowns etc. The device is freshly formated, flashed with TML WWE 6.1 (D.08.20) no applications installed etc.
Here is the pic of the wall / travel charger
Welcome to forums
Charging time may vary from original charger to another one.
Normally I left my Uni to charge before I go to sleep and when wake up is fully charged, and last me 28hr aprox.
USB charging I read somewhere it´s not recommended as shortens battery life (not sure if this is actually true but I have USB charging disabled)
Enjoy your great Uni!!
Thanks for replying.
What do you mean disable USB charging. Is there some other way to charge this thing? All I can see is the mini usb port on the back
I reflashed Tomal 8.9 and I bought the USB to mini USB with two USB A plugs that go in the PC. It is supposed to provide 1000 mAH and it kind of charges faster now.
Oh btw, I checked the battery and its not OEM battery, maybe replacement I don't know, but it works ok.
1590 mAH 3.7v
I was going to say in your original picture (charger) is only 500mA. The original Uni charger is 1A (1000mA). To 'fast-charge', you need the 1A charger, which I see you now have, so that's alrighty!
Yup it sorted out. Great device btw.
