New at development!!

Hello..
I wanna learn development for android..
Apps, ROMs, Kernels, mods, etc..
The problem is, I have no idea where to start.. I'm a newbie..
I have a working knowledge of UNIX(basic), C language..
I need a push in the right direction..
So, if anybody has any tutorials and/or links to anything, and if you wanna help, please do so..

Now that I think about it, wrong section man... move it to q and a ~incase, you're wondering it's question and answer thread
And you can start with building roms namely cm10beta 3and then compile twrp and then complie AOSP jb..
And don't forget to make it all official

Waiting eagerly from long long time. Daily checking xda for this moment.
I think not only me so many are waiting for this. One more thing I am an android fan from 2010 but I never submit my feelings any where, this is the first time I am expressing, please sir don't stop developing, please make complete Rom, we are here to do whatever we can.

I flashed the 1st version and it installed correctly and I'm using it right now.. But I'm trying to upgrade to the latest version and its not working ive used cwm and twrp still nothing... It keeps on telling me that E: can not find /external sd/cm11.... (bad) I've downloaded the 2nd and 3rd version about 3 times but it still hasn't work

This is the Note 4 purelook rom , I thought it was not allowed to be posted here in XDA , so it's probably to be deleted anyways.

It is A S5 port with Note 4 themed stuff , Note 4 isn't ported anywhere yet , well at least not finished.

If they did steal from Note 4 developer, I request details from both parties proving such. I definitely do not agree with forgery, especially with how much bloatware people will sneak in for their own benefit. However, the whole point of this forum is open development, getting to the bottom of these details is more important than anything else! Hope to hear more positive Feedback in return!

I installed the rom itsself in the past.
I don't say that it isn't a good rom.
The only thing I know is that the developer of this rom did not want it to be on xda. I don't know why or what so ever.
I think the developer is not charmed to see his work here. But maybe the OP asked his permission...wich i doubt

Well where is people finding the rom if it's not on xda . I thought xda was for sharing and contributing to the community. I been on xda since day one and boy have things changed. Well hope the developer post a link for people to tinker with I would try getting my own port started, but I can't waste anytime with this phone anymore. with the nexus 6 around the corner[emoji1]

U can download cm 11 themes like touchwiz from play store sorry if u don't like the design I will redesign it

Same here! An I thinking it was something I do wrong, but before I do fresh flash, I flash over old build and everything works fine. I can't flash arter97 kernel, if I do I get black screen after Samsung logo. On de old build kernel is working sweetly.

A bunch of better (than Samsung) themes is avaliable. Free or paid. Try searching playstore or even here on xda.

My primary Internet connection is down, try to theter WiFi and USB, both not working. [emoji22]

That should be fine, just make sure your on a new recovery.
I think we are currently on 2.8.3.1 TWRP.

Thanks for this rom. It's running great here for an alpha.
After the first view I already found a good bunch of nice features. The performance tab looks promising. I hope it'll receive a little bit more work so that synapse isn't necessary anymore. I'd prefer the build in solution.
Visual stuff isn't that important for me. Nevertheless I tried the battery bar and like it a lot. Working like a charm if I need to say this
Just a little weird thing was that upon opening the notification settings the first time the notification volume slider was greyed out. I needed to enanbla end disable the link switch to make it work.
